Chapter 47:

Chapter 47: My Only Mistake Was Being Too Outstanding

I’m Too OP, So I Decided to Troll My Loli Master Instead of Saving the World

The Next Day.

Nanako stood with her hands on her hips, steam puffing from her head. She yelled indignantly:

"Sir Arnold! You must give me a reasonable explanation! How could this happen?! How could Princess Vivian knock my Disciple out with a mallet!"

"And confessing like that... It's completely unacceptable!!"

Arnold was sweating buckets, wiping his forehead frantically.

"Deacon Nanako, please calm down! Calm down! I don't know why either! Logically speaking, Her Highness Vivian just met your Disciple. How could she fall in love at first sight?"

Nanako stomped her foot in frustration. She pointed at Lynn, who was sitting on a small stool in the corner, smoking a cigarette in silence.

Puff. Puff. Cigarette ash drifted in the wind.

Nanako screamed, "Don't you see how depressed my lively and cheerful Disciple has become?! Explain! I need a reasonable explanation!"

Lynn sat on the stool in the corner. Smoking. Silence. Silence louder than the Cambridge night.

[ Inner Voice ] [ Being confessed to by my own great-great-great-great-granddaughter... ]

[ Inner Voice ] [ Indeed. It was my fault. ]

[ Inner Voice ] [ My only mistake... was being too outstanding. ]

[ Inner Voice ] [ No matter where I go, I'm like a firefly in the dark night. So bright. So distinct... ]

Lynn looked up, taking a drag of his cigarette with a vicissitudes-filled, melancholy expression.

But... He still felt a faint sadness. The bump on his head was still throbbing.

Being knocked out by my own descendant... using the stun enchantment I personally granted her... Just thinking about it makes me want to jump off the city wall.

He didn't know what happened after he passed out last night. He only heard about it from his Loli Master this morning...

Last night. After he was knocked out. His descendant swiftly and agilely hoisted him onto her shoulder and sprinted toward the exit. [ Princess Carry: Kidnapping Edition ]

If the Loli Master hadn't reacted in time and intercepted her...

Then he... He might have truly become the first Ancestor in history to be... done by his own descendant.

Lynn took a deep breath, wiping a tear from the corner of his eye.

Sure enough... flexing in front of my descendant... I really need to control the degree...

I should have known. A powerful, handsome young man suddenly appearing in front of an innocent girl... There was no doubt she would fall in love.

O(╥﹏╥)o What a sin!

[ Comforting the Disciple ]

After the negotiation (argument) with Arnold, Nanako turned around. Seeing her disciple's silent, depressed figure, her eyes became moist. She felt distressed.

Being confessed to by a stranger (and nearly kidnapped)... It must be a very traumatic experience.

"Disciple, hug. Don't cry. Don't cry."

Nanako walked over tenderly, patted Lynn’s back, and offered her small shoulder for him to lean on.

"When we get back, Master will give you a few days off."

After suffering such an ordeal... Disciple's soul must have been severely damaged...

Nanako felt teary.

"Can I have a month off?" Lynn asked, forcing tears into his eyes.

Nanako nodded pitifully. "Yes, you can."

"Shoulder massage and back rub... can I request those too?" Lynn looked even more tearful.

"Yes, you can." Nanako’s eyes were wet.

"Sleeping together is also okay, right?"

"Yes, it is..."

BONK.

Nanako closed her eyes and delivered a knuckle sandwich.

[ Moon Orchid City: Underground Chamber ]

The Sword Puppet had been pacing back and forth for a whole day. Whenever he thought about the terrifying scene last night, he felt his mana core overheating.

"Stupid girl! Stupid girl!"

The Puppet trembled. Confessing in public is one thing. But do you realize you confessed to your Ancestor?!

This isn't just ancestral graves smoking... This is the kind of event that makes all your ancestors jump out of their graves as zombies from sheer shock!

"I hope Master isn't angry!" The Puppet paced anxiously.

Just then. The space in the basement distorted. Hummm.

Next second. A handsome young man slowly materialized in front of him.

"Morning." Lynn took a silent drag of his cigarette.

Instantly, the Sword Puppet’s eyes lit up with surprise and joy. M-Master!! Master came to see me!!

Without a word, the Puppet rushed forward, knelt on one knee, thumped his chest heavily, and shouted excitedly:

"Sword Series No. 007, Sword Puppet, greets the Master!"

Correct. He was one of the many puppets Lynn created back when he maxed out his Magic Engineering skill tree. What made him special was that he accidentally developed self-awareness during creation, so Lynn kept him by his side. Until the Gods descended. Then he was assigned to be the Guardian of the Violet Family.

Until today. A Thousand Years! A whole thousand years!

"Master, I really never expected... You... You are still alive!" The Puppet wept (oil tears).

Lynn exhaled smoke, his dead-fish eyes staring blankly.

"Nothing to be surprised about. A cunning rabbit has three burrows. Everyone leaves a backdoor for themselves. After all, fighting Gods... the odds weren't high to begin with."

The Puppet wept harder. Back then, he was ordered to protect the descendants and didn't participate in the final battle. When he heard the news of his Master's fall, he almost collapsed.

For a thousand years, he lived in grief, like he lost his father. Now, knowing his Master was alive... how could he not cry?

"Great! This is truly great!" The Puppet cried, old oil streaming down his face.

"This old servant missed you every day... washed his face with tears every day..."

He pointed to a table in the corner and cried loudly:

"I kowtowed to you every day! Every day I hoped you could come back to life and lead us against the Gods again!"

Lynn paused. He looked in the direction the Puppet pointed.

A tattered table. A portrait of a burly man hung above it. Three sticks of incense burning in front. Smoke rising.

It was his appearance as the Violet Monarch.

"..."

"..."

Lynn walked over with dead-fish eyes. He glanced at the books stacked on the altar table.

《 Guide to Resurrection Magic (Necromancy Edition) 》 《 Zombie Terminology: How to Talk to the Undead 》 《 Encyclopedia: How to Communicate Normally with Your Zombie Ancestor 》 《 Secrets Between Zombies and Maidens 》 《 The Correct Posture for Combing Your Ancestor's Long Hair After Zombification 》

Crack. Crack.

Lynn closed his eyes. His fists clenched, cracking audibly. He took a deep breath, his expression complex.

"Sword Puppet... you really put your heart into it." "I'm afraid in this whole world, only you were thinking about how to resurrect me every single day!"

The Puppet wept. "It is what this old servant should do!"

(Note: Lynn is probably trying to decide whether to be touched or to scrap him for parts).
