Chapter 25:

The Danger On The Hill

The Creature Hunter: Soul Of The Wind

After walking for an hour, Orano and Caitrin finally found another person that had a horse-drawn carriage. And fortunately, he was going to Nethilor too. So they asked if they can go with him or not, and he said yes.

Now that they had found a vehicle to take them there and all they had to do was wait until they got to Nethilor.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After traveling for a couple of days, they finally reached Nethilor and got out of the carriage once more.

The city of Nethilor was a city with generally arid regions and few inhabitants. But even though it has these characteristics, it is a city that serves as a warehouse in the kingdom of Faye. Usually, important supplies get left here and are stored here after a long journey. And these characteristics had made it a very important city of Faye.

And when they arrived, Caitrin was once again uncomfortable because of her bones aching,

She said sarcastically,

"Instead of getting used to it more every time, I get more uncomfortable."

But Orano, on the other hand, wasn't annoyed or tired. He looked energetic and he was looking around for something already.

And as always, he had a focused expression on his face. He looked at the compass, and said,

"The Compass is already reacting to the magical power. That means we should be close. It also looks quite similar to the place I saw in the Rift. But I can't see the rocky place in the vision that I saw."

"Let's go ask the nearest store." He added while he looked at Caitrin.

Caitrin said sarcastically,

"Hey, don't you get annoyed just a little bit?"

But Orano kept walking anyway. And when they looked around a little bit, they finally entered a bar, approached the bartender, and started talking,

Orano explained the situation and asked if he knew something,

"Do you know how we can find there?"

"The area you want to go to is not far from here. It is quite close and you can walk there. But I don't think that's the real problem you have to worry about." The bartender replied.

Then Caitrin asked confused,

"What do you mean by that?"

"To be clear, we've been in a very difficult position lately. We usually have a specific route to transport supplies. And people from other places come along that route and deliver supplies too. But at an unexpected time, a very dangerous creature appeared and attacked our carriages. The good news is that not much has happened to the people, but we've lost a lot of supplies, and the creature is still there.

And even though we tried to make it go away many times before, we didn't succeed in rescuing our supplies and such."

Caitrin then said to herself with a nervous expression on her face,

*A creature? Again?*

"We will deal with the creature. But I need more information about the place you are talking about." Orano said as he looked at the bartender.

The man looked nervous and surprised at them first and said,

"Wait, you will? But that creature is very dangerous. It is very dangerous for normal people, sir!"

But Orano didn't give up on his idea, he insisted and said,

"It is my duty to slay them. Please give me more information."

The man finally gave up, sighed, and said,

"It is located east of here. But as I said, Please act carefully."

Orano nodded, turned his back to him, and walked away. Then Caitrin quickly caught up to him, looked at him scared and angry, and said,

"Hey! Are we going to fight with a creature again!? This is the fourth time! And how many more creatures are we going to face anyways?"

"Do you remember the creatures we saw on previous kingdoms?"

She stopped for a moment and said,

"Yes. I do remember them. But why did you ask?"

He looked at the sky and started to explain,

"Snakes, Pertingers, and an Eirin that we've seen in the kingdoms before. Those creatures are just a few of the "Extremely dangerous" creatures listed by the Royal Society. Apart from them, there is "Tigo", which I told you about that I saw before, A "Bona", who is the size of a bull and has horns like a goat, and "Dragons", which are decisively identified as the most dangerous among the creatures."

"They all sound dangerous though." Caitrin said sarcastically.

She then added,

"I didn't know they were real, since I only saw them with my friends back then I was little, But I'm pretty sure I saw a Dragon years ago.."

"Also in addition to what I have said, every creature has superiority over each other. As an example, Eirin is faster than a dragon. But it can't match the power of a dragon. This also goes for a Tigo. Even though their kind is slow, their power is quite difficult to deal with."

Caitrin nervously asked,

"And we are going to search for a "Tigo" right now, right?"

"Exactly. Come on, follow me." Orano replied.

Caitrin sighed and said,

"Let's go then."

After their conversation, Orano and Caitrin walked about for fifteen minutes and arrived at a rocky hill. Unlike they expected, The Hill was pretty quiet and only the scorching heat of the sun could be felt while they walked through.

It had been a short time since the end of winter but it was pretty hot and it looked like Faye had already entered spring.

And after they walked in the hot and looked around for a couple of minutes, they found a few dismembered horse-drawn carriages and supplies scattered on the ground.

Orano crouched slowly and started to examine them,

He then said,

"It is like the bartender said. These things have been here for almost a week, and there's decaying food among them. But since the creature is still around here, we have to be careful."

She nodded and they continued to look around.

Since there was much stuff scattered around, it was hard for them to find a piece of evidence leading to the Creature. And while Orano was looking around to find evidence, Caitrin approached one of the carriages and looked at the stuff inside it.

It contained spare clothes, some glass bottles of water and a necklace.

It looked like it was used to carry people. But on the other hand, the other horse-drawn carriage was more of a vehicle carrying supplies. It contained food supplies and some mines.

But since there wasn't any evidence she couldn't use, she stopped looking at them and started searching in other places.

It was quiet as she walked and there wasn't any sign of people or any sign of any animal, but it was making Caitrin uncomfortable to not find even a trace. Because since they didn't know where the creature was, they had to act quietly and carefully.

And the confusion that Caitrin had was growing bigger.

But right when she felt like that, she walk past some rocks that had claw marks on them, and unlike a normal animal claw, the marks were huge.

Caitrin looked at it scared and said,

"I guess it was here too. But where did it went?"

She looked at other rocks too but didn't saw any other claw marks. There was only one claw mark, and there weren't many places it could hide.

The situation was getting much more difficult for her to understand.

And as she turned around to search somewhere else, she felt something watching her.

It was a very uncomfortable feeling, and it wasn't going away. She felt more uncomfortable and she slowly turned around to see what was going on.

But as she turned, her fear grew bigger.

She saw a Tigo, standing on top of a rock and looking at her, with wide-opened eyes and an angry expression.
