Chapter 1:
The far lands
1987, Farlands, Kingdom Of The Red Wolves
The king walks around his halls, appreciating his surroundings, greeting the maids and servants, seemingly looking for someone,
he comes across another maid, although this one has a necklace with a red gem imbued in it, a sign and proof to being a royal maid, one who serves the king and the prince,
"Have you seen him?" The king says, a smile on his face, "No, not really, he didn't even come down for breakfast! but you will probably find him in his usual spot" The maid says, clearly frustrated,
"well, you know how he can be, ill be off to find him" The king says, beginning to move again.
He finally reaches his destination, The Royal Garden,
The king walks through the green grass, the morning breeze ruffling his red hair, now grey from age, he stares at the roses and the bushes, at the trees offering their fruits for him, accepting as he picks up an apple and begins eating it,
after a while, he stops across of a tree
"What are you doing?" he asks
"You know what i"m doing." a voice says, seemingly from behind the tree, a hand emerging, holding a book, 'Martial & Magic' was written on it, "I only come out here when I'm reading, The roses remind me of.. her.." The voice says, finally appearing from behind the tree.
A boy stands in front of The king, His bright red hair shining in the sun, His eyes glowing with the color of the roses that surround him, darting between the ground and The king, never maintaining eye contact, a frown on his tiny face,
They both stay silent for a moment, before The king breaks it, "Son, walk with me" he says, offering his hand, The boy nods in confirmation, grabbing his father's hand,
They walk together through the beautiful scenery together, hand in hand, "Javier, you know you will have to pick one soon right? You haven't picked a magia sword for the past 5 years, you're 14 now." The king says, "Yeah, i know, but all the options are lame, Fire, water and wind? that's all?" Javier states, pouting, kicking rocks away,
"We are supposed to be a Nation of magic, Of the Gods! why can we not choose something like hell fire from the Goddess of hell? Call upon Floods from The God of water! whatever his name was" Javier says, spreading his arms, recreating the scenes he described
"I'm completely fine just not picking anything, ill just learn a bit of magic and ill use my hands! look!" Javier states, punching the air in a wild and uncoordinated manner, before eventually tripping and falling on his face, his Father laughing at the sight
"Well that would be optimal, but it's a royal duty to pick a magia sword, although...." The king says, thinking for a bit, "Well it's worth a try, follow me" He continues,
Javier And his Father reach their destination, a towering wall of vines, "I know this place! i used to climb it all the time trying to see whats on the other side, No success though." Javier says, "Well, you haven't tried this" The king says, he then takes off his amulet, one similar to the Royal Maid, although the gym shines brighter, with a wolf insignia on it
The king bites his finger, drawing blood, Spilling it on the gem, a radiating glow comes out of it, "Since when can it do that?" Javier asks, "Since forever, even yours does it, now watch" The king says, The vines burning, a cave appearing
The king and his son enter, A river coming into view, Javier notices something shimmering Brighter than the crystals that light up the cave, A sword
"A sword like no other" The King says, "The people who were able to control this sword can be counted on your fingers, Do you want to try?" He continues
"What? Me?" Javier asks, pointing to himself, "Well, Okay, I, I guess" Javier says, his fingers trembling, nervous
Javier walks up to the sword, Taking a closer look at it, admiring the beauty and the masterwork of the sword...
