CHAPTER 20

“People might be staring at you, not because you have something on your face, but because...”

Fujio was watching a video in his room. A video about people staring at him had just happened to appear on his home page, and he was interested. Despite this, he was only half paying attention.

The video had told him that people who are attracted to one stare at them.

He really didn’t want to believe it, but he knew that he would. It felt better than accepting that it’s probably not true. It gave him a little bit of confidence.

He spent the entire length of the video thinking about this, trying to force himself to not believe it but failing to do so.

“I guess... I could give it a try. I don’t have to care if people are staring anyway... right?”

And with that thought he went to his closet to pick out his outfit for the next day.
