Ch. 2 (Evergreen): Night

I opened my eyes. I always had this weird reddish tint at the edge of my vision, but I had no idea why- perhaps I just needed glasses.

“Hey, Akami?” I asked, my voice enveloped by the darkness as it tried to reach my sister

“Yeah?” She responded, equally silent.

“Want to play a game of Advii?”

“Sure”

I won in a few minutes.

After Akami went to bed, I went out the window and into the forbidden forest. I heard the whispers of everyplant, competing for my attention. The trees in particular were very intriguing, Dange- safe. No- DANGER. It’s fine. NO. I thought it over... Perhaps the trees were confused, I deduced. After a bout of walking, I fell into a bush (ow), and garbled words rushed into my brain,

Uch. I’ve been getting that weird set of garbled words for a while now. I find it quite funny the only line intelligible was or all shall die. I mean, really, dramatic much? I contemplated telling Akami about it as I went deeper into the forest with the trees continuing to orchestrate insanity within my mind. I sat on a log, and checked the time on my Poortas, a thing from the ancient past. 21:56. 2 hours had passed without me knowing. I rushed home, climbed up the wall, and came face-to-face with my sister.
