[2.2] A Newly Couple is 'kinda' Brimming: Going Out??!!

Class in session. The students didn't have much to go over, since it's the second-to-last day before the holiday. The teacher, on the other hand, still had many to go over.

"Before we go to the auditorium, may I know why Astrid fainted on THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL?" asked the teacher of class eleven MIPA one.

Kate raised her hand, "That's her problem, sir."
The teacher quickly answered, "I didn't need a barebones answer, Mrs. Potter."

Nanda raised her hand, "She was in shock from the news that our friend, Mei, got a boyfriend, sir."
The teacher looked at her in such a despicable manner, "Is that so?"

The students agreed in union.

"Ugh, youth", the teacher was about to go over his speech, but then...
"You go through that phase, too, Mr. Hagar. Why are you pissed?" Kate stated her mind.

The teacher was annoyed, and the students were laughing.

"You know, Mrs. Potter", he put down his glasses and continued, "I could lower your score and force you to attend an extra class on holiday."

In a flash, Kate answered, "You're the most humble and best home teacher I ever had, Mr. Hager Roger. I would love to spend my day outside the school, please." The class laughed at Kate's mercy.

After that, the class of eleven MIPA one students heard some words from their home teacher. The following things, they went into the auditorium to hear their headmaster's last speech of the year. It went smoothly and only took forty-five minutes. They got back to their class.

"Yu, what are you gonna do for Christmas now that you have a girlfriend?" asked James.
"Spend time with her. Duh..."
"No, dumbass. How? How are you spending it? Eating out together, maybe. Or you know...?" James smiled from ear to ear.

Yu's cheek turned red, and he said, "We're still high schoolers, James. Stop thinking that."

"But your face couldn't lie."
"I'll wait for the right moment."
"So, you DID think about it."
"Look, dude. I was, and will always be, respectful of others, alright. Whether it was my family, my friend, or anyone, including my girlfriend."

James rolled his eyes, "You took it too seriously."
He stopped for a moment before spouting, "Be spicy a little bit."

"That's very unlike me, James."

The other members of the group joined in. Adit spouted, "Yeah, man. Be spicy a little bit. We're going to be seventeen next year, anyway."

"It's not that simple, you dimwit."

Bahmul came in hot, "You have used our suggestion, man. You couldn't back down again."

"That's just a part of my... 'being new' for a day. I haven't even heard her talk about my new look."

As well as Kail, "Such a wimp with such a girlfriend. It makes my blood boil."

"Shut it. If you're jealous, then get a girlfriend."

Kail replied, "Sheesh. You've only been with your girlfriend for less than a day, dude. Chill!"

The group was interrupted by three girls who they were familiar with, "Haiii", Kate said with confidence in front of Bahmul.

Bahmul replied, "Hei... he he he."
Kail nudged him and whispered, "Dude, you're creeping her out."

Kate responded, "No, no. It's okay. You're just quirky, yeah."
Nanda replied to Kail, "We knew you guys were cool. No worry."

Yu looked around for Mei. He found her behind him, "Hi... handsome."

Yu's group, along with Kate and Nanda, gasped. Yu said, "Mei... that's kind of..."
"You didn't like it?"
"No, not that. Aren't you embarrassed?"

Mei hugged Yu and said, "I already know your feelings, Yu. I don't need to be embarrassed."
"Ri... right. Our feelings are mutual."

Everyone in the group was grinning. Yu responded, "You guys are enjoying this way too much."

Then James asked the girls, "Oh, yeah. What happened to Astrid after that incident?"
Nanda answered, "Riko, Grace, and Flo are taking care of her in the infirmary."
Kail replied, "You guys didn't come."
Kate replied, "You guys didn't hear? Mei called it quits. We follow her."

Yu replied, "Such a friend you guys are."
Mei replied with anger, "Say that to Astrid."

James sneakily questioned Yu again, "So, what's your answer, Yu? How are... YU... spending your time with Mei?"

Kate and Nanda heard that, and their eyes shone. Yu got pressured even more after Mei said, "Oh, you guys were talking about us? How lovely!"

Yu was trying to unfuse the situation, "I haven't thought about it."

But it actually made it worse, "Huuuuh? Really? I thought we had known each other for ten years."
Yu answered, "In secret! Right?!"
"And we have been in the same class for more than a decade!"
"But never interacted with each other even once!"
"Admiring each other still counts!"
"But we almost didn't know what... You know what, never mind."
"Never know what? Spit it out, Yu!"

The group was awed and said in unison, "What a scene to grace our eyes."

Kate intervened, "But you guys are still going out, right?"
Yu answered with confidence, "Yeah, of course."
"Great. At least that's good, right, Mei?"

Both Yu and Mei looked at each other, and Mei said, "We'll spend the new year... together, right?"
"Su... sure."

Yu looked at his friends. Every single one supported him. This push encouraged him to say, "We could also spend the night at my place. I lived alone, you know."

The girls were squeaking, except Mei, who looked surprised, "We... we... we... we... What the what? Th... th... th... this early?"

Kate encouraged Mei by saying, "GURL, please! You said yourself that you have had feelings for ten years. And now you said, this early? COME ON!"

Yu waited for an answer, and Mei delivered, "Okay... I will consider."

Kate heated, "Consider? CONSIDER? Eh... Hello?"

Mei got pressured and answered, "Alright! Alright! Yes, I... we can spend the New Year's night together."

"I'm glad you answered yes."

Everyone in the group was very happy.

Meanwhile

"Astrid? You awake?" One of them spoke.
"What the...? Did I miss the entire speech?"
The other friend answered, "We three worried about you, so we never knew if it was finished or not."
"Oh, you moron. Why are you so worried about me? Worried about yourself first before me."

The three were confused.

"Where is Mei?"
"She quit our group and decided to affiliate with Yu's group."

The name lingered in Astrid's mind.

Not long after, she collapsed again. Her three friends shouted, "ASTRID!"
