[3.0] Things That They 'kinda' Like: You Know Me Far Too Long

The very last day of school started. This was the time of day the teacher held the last gathering before the holiday, with their students. In class eleven science one, Mr. Hager was planning to have a meal out with the class.

"We're going to a restaurant, kids. Be sure not to stray out of the group. Well... y'all're one year to one anyway, I don't need to keep reminding you."

The students of eleven MIPA are excited to go. Everyone... excluding one.

"Astrid?" One of her friends called out for her.

"I'm not in the mood, Grace. Let me be."
"Oh, okay", Grace got back to the others to celebrate the meal out.

"I QUIT!" That was what was on Astrid's mind. The exact words Mei threw out at her yesterday.

"Could she even survive without my guidance? Asshole!" She looked over and saw that Mei was celebrating the meal out with Yu.

"I hate this timeline!"

Time passed, and the class arrived one by one with their own vehicle at the destination restaurant. Mr. Hager waited for them with the class president beside him, counting the students.

"Is it complete yet, Kevin?"
"No, we're missing Astrid, Florence, Grace, and Rikando, sir."
He sighed really hard, "My GOD, those four."
"Should I call them, sir?"
"Let them be. As I said, you guys can take care of yourself. If anything happens or they take too long to get here, call their parents for me."
"Understood, sir."

Without further ado, the class feast was about to go down! The class was separated into groups. Yu, Mei, the other four guys, and two girls were in one group.

Kate started by saying, "Oh, boy. I have never been to a meal out with ACTUAL male friends. This is exciting."
The boys were in shock, "Wait, you guys, never been on things like that?" shouted Adit.

Instead of one of the girls answering, Yu took the question and answered, "They rent guys to spend time together. Yeah, Astrid was messed up."

Nanda was scared, "You... You knew what we were doing?"

Yu threw her girl under the bus, "Mei explained it when we were talking for the first time", and Mei was blushing.

"I was just explaining things, you know. Besides, why did you say that? Didn't I ask you not to reveal that to others?"

With a straight face, Yu answered, "You never told me to keep it a secret."

"Uwaaaa!" Everyone died laughing at the two of them interacting.

After their interaction, they chose a menu to eat, but before that, Mr. Hagar shouted, "Students! I know we rented a VIP room, but please keep it down! The manager just told me that the other customer next to us got annoyed by our voice."

As always, Kate replied, "Isn't that their problem? Why sit next to our room anyway? We saw many seats weren't taken when we entered the VIP room."

Mr. Hager was about to burst, but the staff spoke out, "Oh, you're right. We might have asked them to move. Thanks for the suggestion, lady. Sorry for interrupting your morning."

Mr. Hagar replied, "You got a free pass today, Ms. Potters. Consider this your lucky day."

Their meal out continued. In just thirty minutes, their meals have arrived. Yu's and Mei's group got their meal faster.

"Uwaaa, this Nasi Uduk looked so delicious!" Kate said, "I need some photos for my IG!"

Nanda was spectating Yu and Mei. She looked confused, "Ehh... since when do you like pork, Mei?"

James also noticed something: "Rarely do I see you order Mie Kuah, Yu."

Yu and Mei were blushing, and their minds had the same thought, "Why did I order her/his favorite food?"

James pointed out, "That pork looked delicious, Mei. Almost like what Yu loves to order."
Nanda had the same point, "Yu has Mie Kuah that looked just the same as what Mei always orders."

Nanda and James looked at each other, then James said, "Dude, you wanted to blend in with your girl that you ordered her favorite food?"
Nanda also said, "Mei. Was what James said true? Were you also order Yu's favorite food because of the same reason?'

Both said in unison, "Ye... yes...?"

Nanda and James laughed it out together, making the others in the other seat hear. Bahmul said, "What did I miss, guys? Why did you guys laugh too?"

While Nanda and James explained things to the others, Yu and Mei were in their little zone.

"Yu...?"
"Yes, Mei."
"Should we switch? I don't particularly like pork."
"How about... sharing?"
"Huh?"
"You know, eat these foods together."

Mei looked at their bowl. The noodle and pork looked appetizing when combined. She sighed, "Alright."

"If you really don't like pork, I will finish it..."
"No! We'll eat this together!"

With the plan set, Yu and Mei were ready to eat their meal together. Mei grabbed her spoonful of meat and dunked it into Yu's Mie Kuah. Yu did the same.

After Mie Kuah's bowl looked full, Yu and Mei ate them. Mei took the initiative to do the 'thing' firsthand for Yu.

"Yu, open your mouth", she said while having a big smile.
"Oh, you want to feed me?" He confirmed it and did what Mei asked.

Their hearts beat fast. Yu took the spoonful of Mie and pork into his mouth and ate it.

After that, Yu did the same, "You're next. Let me feed you!"
Their eyes met; the glimmer, the sparkle, the shine looked very bright.

Mei closed her eyes, "Aaaaah."
Yu shoved his spoonful into her mouth, and she enjoyed it.

"Jeeze, get a room, you two", said one of the friends from their class who happened to look in Yu's and Mei's direction.
Kate stood up and gave that guy a mouthful, "Listen here, you donkey! We have our group space to ourselves. What you just did was invade our space! Could you see that our main characters are enjoying themself? You wanted to ruin a moment? Hell, what if I ruined your moment? You pissed, right?!"

The situation got heated, and people tried to stop the two students from arguing. The group was still enjoying their meal when this happened.

"How lively this morning, yeah?" James talked to himself...
But Nanda caught on to it, "True. It's a great day."
"Even greater! I mean, look at Yu! He never wanted to go to this kind of place, a hundred percent."
"Wait, really?"
"Yeah, this is the first time he has joined us for a meal out... It just took him a push from Mei, huh?"
"... Are you jealous because he is more keen to join if the one who invited is his girlfriend, and not you guys?"

James looked at Yu and Mei. He saw them still going at it, feeding each other.
"Nah, I'm not. I'm more into happy than anything. He is finally interacting with others more than usual."
"You're right. Mei too. She sounds more open about her feelings after she left Astrid."
