Chapter 3:
BUBL
Chapter 3 Failed Misson
Alex stopped everything – all movement, all thinking he was perfectly still, frozen by the shock of what just happened. Then again, the voice sounded, “Unauthorised presence detected.” over and over again it went.
Alex turned around, ready to make a quick escape, but as he looked at the door that was once there, all he saw was a seamless wall of bubl. He pressed his hand on it, but it was unmistakably solid. There was nowhere to run to escape; he was stuck. The voice sounded again, but this time it said something different “State your identification.” The forged ID should have worked; it was perfect, no mistakes. There was no way they could have known. Alex was in a panic, but still, he had to say something. But what could he say? Eventually, he just blurted,” Employee B-7-4.” But immediately the voice interjected, “False, you are not registered.”
Alex's heart hammered. He knew his only chance was to quickly get the emergency coin if they received the signal they would surely come to his rescue, right? They'd get him, but anytime a saving plan in BLD happened, they would barely work, and this lab felt strangely more important than the others. Then without warning, a strange figure walked into the room.
At first, Alex thought it was simply a reflection – the whole place is made up of bubbles anyway – but as it inched closer, Alex could see it more closely His body was too smooth, too flawless, and its skin shimmered like the surface of a bubble. Its eyes were pale too pale. It was a bubble clone, but not just any regular one; it was certainly an important one, a high-level one. “Your disguise is quite impressive, but the leader predicted interference, especially from the likes of BLD
“Expected by whom?” Alex was starting to get worried. “The leader, of course, who I presume you already know, Glint.” Alex stepped back, and in that decisive moment, clicked the coin as the clone lunged at him, but he dodged. He ran around the room trying his best to wait it out, if he even could
Chapter 4: Glint
Glint sat alone in his office, the walls around him glowing with a soft pulse of bubbles. He barely noticed it anymore; to him, it was now just a part of everyday life, as ordinary as breathing. He ran a hand through his hair, staring at the hovering screens. data scrolled silently production lines and clone diagnostics .Everything was perfect, as it should be, but something felt wrong. No normal person would have noticed, but Glint (sneak peak for yall!)
