Chapter 3:
Sofia in the stars

My heart felt shattered. Tears flooded my eyes. Then she came back. “Aww, poor you. You broke it?” she said.
I crossed my arms around my body. I didn’t want to see it. Eggy… I broke Eggy. I couldn’t watch it. Then she said, “Sofia, look.” She started pointing at Eggy.
My eyes first saw her, then her fingers, then the window, and finally below it… Eggy. A cat came out from inside Eggy, covered in yellow liquid.

“Eeee… Eggy,” came out of my mouth. “Eggy? Is that her name?” The woman standing beside me started to smile. “What a cute name.”
I was kneeling, then I stood up and grabbed Eggy. She didn’t resist and just let me hold her. I hugged her close to my heart. She was warm.
“Ahh, you are covered in yellow liquid. Come, take a shower with Eggy,” she said. I felt overwhelming happiness when I hugged Eggy.
