Chapter 19 - ''I won't forget about you''

After leaving his aunt's house,Yoshio had no where to go.He had no money and didn't know any of his relatives besides his aunt.Yoshio decided to take refuge in a dumpster behind a restaurant where he would eat any left overs thrown away by their customers.One night while he was in the middle of eating a moldy piece of bread,he overheard a couple of men talking right outside the dumpster.One of the men went to throw away some of his leftover food when he heard a strange noise from the same dumpster.He immediately opened the cover and found a malnourished Yoshio.The man started screaming and running towards his group when all of a sudden Yoshio leaped out of the dumpster and immediately made a run for it.He ran very swiftly through the streets despite his scrawny body but was snatched in the blink of an eye...

Yoshio woke up in an abandoned house.The house was quite large compared to the other houses in Lightrise.The house was filled with guns and knives,the air had an aroma of smoke.There was carpets all over the wooden floors and portraits hung around the entire house.Sitting on a chair directly opposite Yoshio was a man staring at him,smoking a cigar. The man,with a scar across his right eye,a tattoo of wings on his neck,asked Yoshio if he wanted something to eat.Yoshio hesitated at first but once the man heard his stomach growl,enough was said.Yoshio ate the warm porridge offered by the man.While eating,the man continued to stare at Yoshio.

Hector: ''Are you not afraid of me?''

Yoshio: ''Why would I be afraid of someone who brought me to their home and gave me food?''

Hector: ''Heh heh heh..I like you Yoshio!!''

Yoshio: ''Wait...How do you know my name?? In matter of fact..Who exactly are you?''

Hector: ''Ahhh...Where are my manners? My name is Hector,I'm the leader of Blood Wings''

Yoshio choked on his porridge after hearing those words.

Yoshio: ''Come again?''

Hector: ''I am the leader of Blood Wings"

Yoshio: ''No not that! Your name is Hector?''

Hector: ''Yes...??''

Yoshio: ''Why Hector?''

Hector: ''Look Yoshio,there are a million questions here you can ask me and you want to know why I have this name?''

Yoshio: ''Mama always said I'm not the brightest''

Hector (talks under his breath) : ''I can't believe your father told me to watch out for you..''

Yoshio: ''Wait! You knew my father?''

Hector: ''Knew him? He was the one that formed Blood Wings...''

Yoshio: ''H-He formed Blood Wings?''

Hector: ''Boy I know what I said,stop repeating it''

Yoshio: ''But I don't understand..Why would he form such a violent gang?''

Hector: ''WHO TOLD YOU WE WERE VIOLENT? We bring peace to this town,making sure our townsfolk don't get injured! We never once killed people for fun!''

Yoshio: ''Wait so why did my father form Blood Wings?''

Hector: ''Your father formed Blood Wings to protect you and your mother from any harm.He also formed it as a rebellion against corruption.Well to behonest,we don't look the friendly type that's why many people feared us.Then later on rumors were spread throughout the whole town,making people feel unsafe,making them afraid of us but honestly Yoshio we are not bad.Your father knew that his time was nearing and he trusted us to take care of his son before he leaves.He believed that you was the last hope to stopping corruption! You can continue and finish what he started.''

As much as Yoshio was inspired by Hector's words,he refused.Yoshio just wanted to find his lost mother,he didn't care about what his father started or finished.Hector walked closer to Yoshio,putting his arm on his shoulder.

Hector: ''I know I am asking for too much and I know you are still a kid but Yoshio at the end of the day...It all depends on what you want to do.I'm not going to force you anymore,you follow your heart and trust your instincts cause that is what makes you live''

Yoshio burst into tears and hugged Hector.After hearing such comforting words after a long time,he could not help but hug Hector tightly.Blood Wings decided to take care of Yoshio from there on,training him and teaching him more about life as he grew up until one faithful day.The Town had a terrible raid,burning houses,killing livestock and harming civilians.Hector hid Yoshio inside a barrel outside the Townhall because he knew they would raid the house and find Yoshio.Blood Wings gathered their weapons and started fighting against the people in the raid.Yoshio had no clue what was happening outside of the barrel but kept quiet.After 1 hour everything went silent.Yoshio hesitated to come out but after gathering his last bit of courage,he opened the barrel lid.

The whole town was damaged.The houses was destroyed,the animals were injured and the town was painted in red(blood was everywhere).Everyone was gathered at the centre of the town by the fountain.Yoshio ran towards the fountain only to collapse to his knees as soon as he saw what laid before him.On the fountain was the heads of all the members of Blood Wings....

Yoshio rushed back towards the hideout for Blood Wings where he found Hector laying on the carpet with stab wounds all over his body.Hector (with his last bit of energy) pointed at a cabinet.In the cabinet was a black box,inside laid a pistol (Revolver).

Hector: ''It belonged to your father...Take it Yoshio.Only your blood can work...''

Hector slowly closed his eyes as his heart stopped beating that very moment.Yoshio was confused by Hector's last words.''Only your blood can work''What does he mean by that? While looking puzzled,blood dripped from the ceiling hitting his nose,Yoshio looked up and saw writing with blood on the ceiling.

''THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS TO THOSE WHO DEFIES US''

Who wrote those words? Was this raid on purpose to kill Blood Wings? Yoshio almost fainted by these questions that raced through his mind.Yoshio's mind was all over the place,until he looked down at Hector's body.He stared at Hector's lifeless body for a while and made up his mind.He buried Hector's body on a small hill facing the town.He opened a bottle of his favourite whiskey and poured it on his grave.Tears started flowing down his eyes

''Hector...I promise you.I will find my mother and finish what my father started.I will avenge you and everybody in Blood Wings.I won't forget about you....''
