Chapter 20 - Raging Survival

The time was 5:30 am,Yoshio's sleep has been broken.

Yoshio: ''What the hell...''
''I just dream't about Hector after such a long time.Almost like it took one chapter to finish my backstory....Shit.Something major is going to happen now.''

Yoshio looks around the cell and noticed that Tomoki is missing.

Yoshio: ''I freaking knew it!!''
''Rinku! Nihonshu! Wake up!!''

Rinku and Nihonshu: ''What?''

Yoshio: ''Tomoki is missing and if I had to take one guess...'''

Suddenly James Thorne burst open the doors

James: ''RISE AND SH-....OH GOOD YOU ALL ARE AWAKE!!''

Yoshio: ''WHERE IS TOMOKI??''

James: ''You guys are no fun..Instead of telling you where he is,why don't I show you

James had all of them escorted to the spectator's seats for viewing yet another game.

Nihonshu: ''It's dark out,surely there shouldn't be a crowd out now''

Unfortunately for Nihonshu,he was wrong.Believe it or not,the whole arena was filled with people.The crowd was vicious,men were hitting each other,women pulling each others hair,the arena was in total madness.On the field,in the centre of the arena was a man riding a bull.His challenge was to stay on the bull for 30 minutes.25 minutes had already passed and it looked like he would win the game...However he lost his balance and fell off the bull.The bull picked up the man from the ground and tossed him into the air proceeding to knock him out by lifting it's hind legs and kicking him.The man flew back towards the metal gate,hitting the metal (skull first) and dying on the spot.The crowd burst into cheers causing the bull to grow more furious.

Rinku: ''This is insane..''

*Yoshio,Nihonshu and even James looked in the direction of Rinku*

Yoshio: ''What do you mean insane?? You can't even see what's happening down there!''

Rinku: ''Doesn't mean I can't sense the atmosphere around the arena!''

Yoshio: ''First he was blind,then he can see,now he is making up words!! How many problems do you have man?''

Just then the metal gate started opening and out came Tomoki wearing a full red suit with his arms tied up.

Yoshio: ''You can't expect him to ride a bull while his hands are tied up!!''

James woke up from his chair and made an announcement to everyone in the arena

''ATTENTION ALL! TODAY'S GAME IS NOT EXACTLY LIKE THE RODEO YOU ALL LOVE AND ADORE,OH NO...TODAY'S GAME IS CALLED 'RAGING SURVIVAL' ''

Yoshio: ''Not this bullshit again!!''

James: ''THE RULES ARE SIMPLE!''

Rinku: ''Sure it is...''

James: ''TOMOKI HAS TO SURVIVE 30 MINUTES,WITH HIS HANDS TIED UP,WITHOUT BEING STRUCK BY THE BULL.IF HE SURVIVES,HE OBVIOUSLY GETS TO LIVE BUT IF HE GETS STRUCK EVEN  ONCE....DEATH''

The game had started and all Tomoki could do was dodge,he didn't try to run because he knew he needed to save his stamina until the end plus there is no way you can out run a raging bull.The bull was not to be taken so lightly...Due to the colour of Tomoki's suit (red),the bull became more and more aggressive with each attempt trying to kill Tomoki.He was barely surviving,after 5 minutes,a metal gate started opening and out came the second bull.

James: ''Oh did I forget to mention? After every 5 minutes a new bull,even more aggressive than the last,is released into the arena''

Yoshio,Rinku and Nihonshu started growing anxious.If Tomoki can survive for 30 minutes there would already be 6 bulls inside the arena.The crowd grew wild,Tomoki was exhausted.10 minutes in and he was already out of breath,every 5 minutes that passed a new bull was released,angrier than the previous one.Tomoki (completely exhausted) looked at the timer and realized he had 1 minute left but his legs were about to give out.He knew if he won this game,the blade of light would have been given to him so he tried to hold out for a little while longer.There was 6 raging bulls in the arena,each with mission to kill Tomoki.

20 seconds were left....Tomoki's vision was blurry,his hands were in pain,his legs was about to give out,his throat was dry.Tomoki was on the verge of death.This was one of the most diabolical games that James Thorne ever created but hope was not lost as Tomoki was almost going to complete it.With 5 seconds left,it seemed as victory was Tomoki's until at the very last second...He was struck by a bull.

[Tomoki lost]

Tomoki passed out due to exhaustion,the crowd was screaming and cheering while the Western Rebels were standing there with no reaction.Rinku was blind so we don't bother about him,Nihonshu collapsed on the floor while Yoshio stood there trying to process what happened.

Yoshio: ''H-He l-lost..Tomoki lost...'''
''Our whole plan is useless now,Tomoki is going to die''

Standing up from his seat was James Thorne started laughing as he had just conquered the world.

James: ''WELL YOSHIO SEEMS LIKE TOMOKI LOST...THAT'S TOO BAD.''
"Honestly I was alittle worried when he was about to get his sword otherwise you would have been able to escape''

Yoshio: ''You k-knew...?''

James: ''I'm not an idiot like you Yoshio,I knew you was waiting for Tomoki to receive his sword.That's why I made sure to make him play a game I knew he was guaranteed to lose although I was alittle worried that he was going to win but looks like fate was on my side''

*Yoshio turned around staring James Thorne dead in the eyes*

James: ''Time to execute him right there on the spot''

Yoshio: ''JAMES!! YOU,ME,A STAND OFF!! IF I WIN YOU SPARE TOMOKI'S LIFE BUT IF YOU WIN....YOU CAN TAKE MY LIFE AS WELL''

James: ''You serious?? Just your life?? No! If I win I want all of the Western Rebels lives''

Yoshio: ''Deal''

James Thorne announced to the crowd that tonight for their lives...Yoshio was going to have a stand off with him.The crowd absolutely lost it.Everyone was sent back to their cells,their weapons (except for Nihonshu's guitar) were confiscated.Tomoki (on the floor) was knocked out,his whole body was filled with bruises.

Nihonshu: ''Are you insane??''

Yoshio: ''I question it''

Nihonshu: ''Challenging James to a stand off in his arena?? There is like a 0% chance of winning.He will never play fair..You should have just let him take Tomoki-''

Yoshio: ''HEY STOP IT!! I would rather kill myself than seeing him take the life of my brother! Don't you understand? HE KNEW,HE FUCKING KNEW THAT WE WAS GOING TO ESCAPE! SO WHAT IF WE GIVE HIM TOMOKI..HE WON'T STOP IF WE ARE ALL DEAD!''

RInku: ''He is right Nihonshu,even if Tomoki died,We would still be stuck here forced to play his games until death but it is thanks to Yoshio that we have a chance to change our fates.''

Nihonshu: ''Look I'm sorry about giving up on Tomoki but Yoshio...You are going to die if you face 'The Dealer' head on.''

Yoshio: ''Nihonshu I honestly don't care if I win or lose the stand off but the fact that I took a risk says enough.Tomoki would have done the same...''

Nightfall had approached....
