Chapter 21 - The Runner's Up Incident

[With Tomoki losing one of ''The Dealer's'' games,Yoshio challenged James Thorne to a stand off to prevent Tomoki's execution however James Thorne only accepted the stand off if all of the Western Rebels put their lives on the line.Will Yoshio manage to free Tomoki and escape Runner's Up or will James Thorne finally put a stop to the Western Rebels?]

''....ANYWAY BACK TO THE STORY!!''

Nightfall had arrived...Yoshio was taken out of his cell while the rest of the Western Rebels remained behind.He was taken to the centre of the arena where he had to face James Thorne AKA 'The Dealer'.This was it...If Yoshio defeats him,they will finally be free but knowing James...The odds did not favour Yoshio.

Yoshio looked around the whole arena,every seat was filled with higher class people from every rich town.Each more corrupted than the last.James tossed Yoshio's revolver towards him.

James: ''Pick it up..''

There was one bullet loaded into the pistol.James was handed his own pistol with one bullet as well.The crowd was still cheering,causing more chaos until James finally had enough of it.

James: ''THAT'S ENOUGH!!!''

The gates and doors all started locked,the guards loaded their guns and started firing each member in the crowd one by one.The arena that was filled with cheers not too long ago was now filled with screams of agony and pain.There was bloodshed throughout the whole arena.Not a single soul survived...

James looked in the direction of Yoshio and slowly removed his mask...Infront of Yoshio stood a man with a face so beautiful,it made Yoshio question his sexuality.He had black silky hair with light blue eyes,his skin was pale as snow.

Yoshio: ''OH NO HE IS HOT!!!...''

James: ''I just massacerd an entire arena and that's your first thoughts!''

Yoshio: ''Why would I care? Those people were evil regardless''
"Now explain the rules so we can get on with this game''

James Thorne tossed a blindfold towards Yoshio

James: ''Each of us has one bullet loaded in our pistols.We are both going to be blindfolded,the first one to shoot their opponent wins.''

Yoshio: ''What if we miss our target?''

James: ''Then the guns will be reloaded and we will try again and again till one of us is shot''

Yoshio stood directly opposite James at a distance.He waited for James to put on his blindfold to ensure he was playing fair.Once James's blindfold was on,Yoshio wore his.The whole arena was quiet.There was a slight breeze but everything else was silent.Yoshio could hear his own heart beating loudly by the second.He stood still in one position trying to hear even the slightest movements from James but it was no use.Everything was pitch black,as much as Yoshio tried to hear for vibrations and sounds,he unfortunately could not.

Just then,James fired his bullet...It missed.Yoshio knew this was the perfect opportunity to shoot James.He held his revolver tightly in his hand and patiently waited till he could sense James's presence or hear any sound coming from him.One bullet left,his heart was beating louder and faster,just one shot and it will be all over.All of a sudden Yoshio heard a sweat droplet hit the ground.BANG!! Yoshio hit a something...

He removed his blindfold only to realize he shot a guard.Yoshio missed....

BANG!!

Suddenly a bullet was shot into Yoshio's leg.James had fired a second bullet.

Yoshio: ''You cheated!! You never had one bullet in your pistol!!''

James: ''What did you expect? That I will let you win? Say goodbye Yoshio"

James aimed the gun at Yoshio's head when the metal gate across the arena was sliced open.It was the Western Rebels! Behind them was all of the prisoners who were trapped as well.

James: ''H-How?? How did you all escape??''

*Flashback*

While trapped in the cell,Nihonshu's guitar was actually a sniper in disguise.Yes the guitar could transform into a gun...Nihonshu then proceeded to shoot the guard with the keys attached to his belt.Tomoki grabbed the keys and freed themselves as well as the other prisoners.They made their way towards the room where their weapons were located.Seeing as they were running out of time,Tomoki used the blade of light and immediately started slicing through walls and gates,heading in the direction of Yoshio.(The weapons room was literally right next to the arena,they just had to open the door but they didn't know that so they wasted time breaking every wall and gate trying to find Yoshio)

*End of flashback*

The prisoners started to cause chaos and used the weapons they found to fight the guards.Tomoki,Rinku and Nihonshu started running towards Yoshio to help him but felt something strange wrap around their leg.It was a vine!!

It turns out that James Thorne was born with a special ability Nihonshu was talking about.He had the power to create vines and use a toxin to knock out people.He wrapped his vine around everyone who escaped,holding them high in the air,squeezing the oxygen out of them.He used his toxin to make some of the prisoner's fall asleep.Yoshio was the only one on the ground.

He wanted to help his friends but was in so much pain that he couldn't move.His pistol had no ammo and he was losing alot of blood in his leg.He was losing hope UNTIL hector's words started playing in his mind.

Yoshio aimed his pistol at James Thorne and pulled the trigger.Suddenly a bullet was fired from the revolver and shot James in the chest! Immediately James started sweating and breathing heavy,he was growing weak when all of a sudden he caught on fire.Yoshio has a special ability!

The flames was so intense that James's face started to melt off,the fire spread throughout his entire body,burning him alive.Yoshio collapsed to the floor as he felt an extreme burning pain inside his body.The fire had spread towards the vines causing it to burn and release everyone that was trapped.

Once Tomoki was free,he quickly grabbed Yoshio and carried him out of Runner's Up.Rinku and Nihonshu was right behind them while some of the prisoners stayed back to destroy Runner's Up for good.They hopped on a couple of horses outside in a stable and escaped without looking back.

Runner's Up was destroyed,James Thorne and his guards have been killed,all the prisoners were free and the Western Rebels started making their way towards The Westwind.
