Chapter 9:
side stories of the bloodbriars
The house was quiet. The twins asleep in their gothic-themed bedrooms, Beckett at his computer quietly working on a project.
Diana, in her makeup casual blouse, leather skirt, and spider earrings, sprawled across the living room sofa, controller in hand.
“Another visual novel,” she muttered, leaning over the screen. Beckett peeked over his glasses, sipping iced tea.
“You’re really into this, huh?” he asked.
“Don’t distract me, my prince,” she replied, a playful smirk on her lips. Her dominance didn’t disappear even when she was relaxed.
They played together, laughing softly at absurd dialogue, commenting on character routes. Diana teased Beckett mercilessly whenever he picked the “wrong” option, pulling lightly at his scarf in jest.
It was intimate, quiet, and exactly how the two of them loved to spend weekends: competitive, dominant, and deeply affectionate—safe for work, yet fully “Bloodbriar.”
