Hizashi No Kage
Chapter - 24
The very next day after receiving permission from the King, Akash went to Jot Village. First, he returned Mishu to Sarsi, then went home and told his parents everything that had happened.
Angela and Bron felt the ground slip from under their feet. They had expected that Akash would definitely do something big, but they had never even imagined in their wildest dreams that Akash would receive the title of Royal Guest.
That same day, Akash brought his parents to the palace. Whatever essential household items they needed, were also brought by the soldiers.
Now the Snow family had begun living in the outer palace. They had been given a new house.
The inner palace was reserved only for the members of the royal family and a few extremely important close people, such as the Flamehearts.
In the outer palace lived the maids, butlers, other servants, ministers, and so on.
After receiving the title of Royal Guests, the Snow family was now entitled to receive 100 gold coins every month for free, along with many other facilities and gifts. All three members were given three beautiful pocket watches made of diamonds, which were extremely attractive. These were proof of their status as Royal Guests.
Angela and Bron still could not believe it. Akash had completely changed their lives.
Akash now felt relieved that his parents would never have to work again.
Only four days were left for the holidays to end.
In the meantime, Akash heard the news that tomorrow was Princess Manjula’s birthday. Preparations for the occasion had already begun throughout the palace.
“Can I give something to Manjula?” This was the first thought that came to Akash’s mind, and then for several hours he kept thinking about what gift he could give her.
For the first time, he realized that he knew almost nothing about Manjula — what she liked to eat, what she didn’t, her favorite color, what she was interested in, what she hated… and so on.
Oh, how he wished he knew all these things…
The question of the gift was still stuck in his mind. Just then, an idea came to him. He went off to find Zara.
The problem was that Zara lived in the inner palace. How could he be called outside? That’s when Akash took Neelu’s help.
The plan was that Neelu would shrink into the size of a small ball, sneak into the inner palace, and find Zara. The security of the inner palace was extremely tight, but Akash had Neelu cross over from an unknown place by going underground to the other side.
Then Neelu began searching for Zara while hiding carefully, but suddenly Zakaar Flameheart’s eyes fell on him.
(Let me properly introduce Zakaar here.
**Zakaar Flameheart**
Level: 96
Magic Type: Pure Flame {Blue Fire}
The big step-brother of Zavier.
Zakaar was a Proto Knight who was currently completing missions under Kane Flameheart and Roman Windheart. He was so talented that he had two mentors.
Zakaar had also received his education from the Wand and Sword Academy.)
Zakaar immediately trapped Neelu in a ring of his blue flames. He was about to roast him alive when Ramya arrived there.
“Stop! Stop, Zakaar! He is my familiar!” Ramya shouted.
Zakaar didn’t look convinced, but he left anyway.
Then Ramya picked up Neelu and asked softly, “What are you doing here, Neelu? Did Akash send you?”
Neelu bent his round body in a ‘yes’ gesture.
Ramya asked the next question, “Do you want to meet Manjula didi?”
Neelu shook his body left and right in a ‘no’ gesture.
“Then who do you want to meet? Zara?” Ramya asked. Neelu bent his body in a ‘yes’ gesture.
Zara was sitting on a tree eating berries. When he saw Ramya coming with Neelu in her hands, he jumped up with joy.
Using monster language and gestures with his tentacle-like hands, Neelu explained to Zara that his papa wanted to meet him.
Zara was overjoyed. He immediately grabbed Neelu in his paws and flew off.
Ramya was left standing there watching.

“Zara beta, tell me quickly. What does your mommy like to do?” Akash asked, holding Zara in his hands.
“Mommy?!.... Hmmmm..... Fighting! She keeps fighting with someone or the other from morning till evening,” Zara said.
“Arey! She does training, not fighting. Tell me something else, quickly,” Akash said again.
“Hmmm… Hmmmm….. Dancing… singing… yes! yes! yes! Mommy drew a sketch of me a few days ago. Mommy draws very good drawings,” Zara jumped excitedly.
“Well done!” Akash hugged Zara tightly, then letting him go, said, “Okay Zara, I have to go out now. You go back to mommy, alright?”
“No! I want to stay with you right now,” Zara insisted.
Akash could not keep Zara with him. He especially could not take him outside. He tried to explain.
“Beta, look, I cannot stay with you. You have to—”
“But why? Doesn’t mommy like you?” Zara asked directly.
Akash took a long breath and said, “She doesn’t, and that’s exactly why you should also stay away from me.”
It felt as if several lightning bolts struck Zara at once. His young mind could not understand such a big thing.
Akash tried to console him, “Zara, you should understand that you only have your mommy. I can meet you only very rarely—”
Zara burst into tears.
Akash was saying all this with a heavy heart, but he could not say anything more. Seeing Zara’s tears, he himself became disturbed.
Somehow Zara became quiet.
“Look beta, don’t tell mommy anything about today. Okay?” Akash said.
Zara gave no reply.
“Alright, let me show you something fun. Neelu, turn into Giant Slime.” Akash used Neelu to distract Zara.
Neelu immediately transformed into his giant form. Zara forgot everything and just kept staring at Neelu’s new appearance.
Then Akash said the final words, “Zara, I’m going out now. You take Neelu and go. Play with Neelu to your heart’s content today, okay?”
Neelu shrank back to his small size. Zara, now excited, immediately picked him up and flew away.
Akash headed towards the market. One of the benefits of being a Royal Guest was that Akash could make small expenses in the city for free. He took full advantage of it.
He ate a lot of street food, tried sweets from many different shops, and finally bought a very large drawing file from a stationery store.
Now he was happy, and the thought of Manjula’s reaction when he gave her this gift tomorrow made him even happier.
Just then, he saw a grand royal horse carriage, followed by three more carriages, heading towards the palace. It didn’t take him long to understand that this was the Flameheart family’s carriage. The meaning was clear — Zavier had come to meet Manjula.
Akash’s heart sank. It hadn’t even occurred to him that on Manjula’s birthday, important people from all over the country would come to the palace and bring gifts.
Suddenly, the drawing file in Akash’s hand started to feel very small.
