Zavier entered the palace. He had barely stepped into the inner palace when Manjula came running and hugged him tightly.
Then Zavier opened the gifts. Gold… diamonds… there was nothing missing. There were gifts for the entire Windhart family. There was also a special gift for Manjula — a very large painting of her face. Zavier himself had painted it.
Manjula’s happiness knew no bounds, and neither did Akash’s jealousy, who was standing far away watching everything.
He immediately went to his room and flung the drawing file into a corner. He felt like laughing at himself as well as crying.
Anyway, Manjula’s birthday finally arrived. From morning till evening, guests kept coming and bringing gifts for Manjula.
Akash didn’t have the courage to step out of the house and even talk to Manjula — or at least wish her. The entire day he just lay on his bed, face down, thinking only one thing: “What is my status? What right do I have to love a princess?....”
Bron and Angela were worried about what had suddenly happened to their otherwise cheerful son. But even when they asked, Akash wouldn’t tell them anything. He kept lying there, making the excuse of a headache.
Just then, Samuel, Martha, and Bob arrived at the Snow family’s house. Bob went straight to meet Akash. But seeing Akash’s condition, he got scared.
“Hey, what have you done to yourself?” Bob said immediately.
“Nothing,” Akash replied slowly.
“What happened?” Bob asked.
“Nothing,” Akash said in a dead voice.
“Come on, we have to go to the celebration. Princess Manjula—”
Akash cut Bob off and said, “No, I’m not going. You go.”
Bob couldn’t understand anything. In the end, he gave up and returned.
Samuel and Martha were still busy talking with Bron and Angela. Bob went to the garden of the outer palace and started wandering around.
He had come with so many thoughts — he was going to congratulate Akash on becoming a royal guest and compare levels with him. But Akash wasn’t even in a state to talk. No matter how much Bob thought, he couldn’t figure out the reason for Akash’s sadness.
But then he remembered that he had to go to the ceremony. Where was it? This was Bob’s first time at the palace, and he had already gotten lost. The garden was so huge that he couldn’t find the way. Just then, he saw Manjula coming from the front. He recognized her. He had seen her three or four times at the academy.
But at this moment, Manjula was wearing a deep blue gown in which she looked so incredibly beautiful that even he was momentarily stunned. On top of that, light but elegant diamond jewelry was adding to her charm.
“Who are you and how did you get here?”
Manjula’s question brought Bob back to his senses.
He immediately said,
“Princess Manjula, many many happy returns of the day. I am Bob Task from the Task family, and right now I’ve lost my way.”
Bob said all this in one breath. Manjula couldn’t help but laugh. Then she said,
“Follow me, I was just going to the ballroom.”
Both of them went to the ballroom together and chatted a little. Manjula was very surprised to learn that Bob was also in the same class as Ramya.
The ballroom was located between the inner and outer palace. Along with Manjula and Bob, Zavier and Zakaar also arrived. Zavier was wearing a suit of the same color as Manjula’s gown. He was also looking quite handsome. Zakaar was in his knight uniform.
King Hulk also arrived with his wife, and then the ceremony began.
Manjula and Zavier became the life of the entire party. And when the two of them danced together, who knows how many hearts burned with envy.
Akash lay on his bed, listening to the music coming from afar. When he could bear it no longer, he got up and went outside.
Where could he go outside? There was a mountain behind the palace. He went there — in search of peace.
But just then, Zara came flying towards him at full speed, and right behind Zara, hopping and skipping, came Neelu.
Zara clung straight to Akash. Akash immediately stroked his head and asked,
“What happened, son?”
“Papa, why is Mommy dancing with someone else? Who is that red-haired man? Why aren’t you with Mommy?”
Zara asked several questions all at once.
Akash understood everything. Zara had somehow seen Manjula and Zavier together. Manjula had been careful so that this wouldn’t happen, but Zara was no ordinary child either. He had seen everything from the ballroom window.
“I had told you, son, that I cannot stay with you. You will have to live with your Mommy and with whoever she chooses,” Akash said in a defeated voice.
“Will Mommy choose someone other than you?” Zara asked immediately.
“Yes,” Akash said clearly.
“How can you let this happen?” Zara asked a heavy question.
Akash couldn’t say anything. Silently, he placed Zara on one shoulder and Neelu on the other and started walking towards the mountain. Once there, all three of them lay down under a tree. No one spoke. After a while, Akash finally said,
“Look, Zara, this might be our last meeting. But don’t worry. Your Mommy will never think anything bad for you. Always listen to her, okay?”
This time Zara got angry. He shouted,
“You all are very bad! I don’t want to stay with anyone!”
Saying this, Zara immediately flew away.
Akash got worried. He ran after him, along with Neelu.
But Zara showed no sign of stopping.
Suddenly, a dragon appeared in front of Zara.
That dragon had seen everything. He immediately picked Zara up in one hand and pointed a finger at Akash with the other, asking,
“Who is troubling my nephew?”
Akash understood that this was Kameel — the king’s familiar and Hameel’s brother.
Akash was thinking what to answer Kameel when Zara suddenly shouted,
“No, Uncle! He is my Papa! Don’t do anything to him!”
Kameel couldn’t understand anything. Left with no choice, Akash had to tell him the entire Hameel story. After listening to everything, Kameel became furious. He roared,
“You have taken my nephew as a joke? Have you ever thought what effect these things will have on a child’s mind?”
Kameel scolded Akash heavily. Akash listened silently. In the end, Kameel gave his verdict,
“It’s all your fault. You came between Manjula and Zavier.”
Akash replied,
“I know. That’s why I will never come between them again. I am also leaving the academy. You can raise Zara however you want.”
Then Akash said to Zara,
“Forgive me, son…”
and turned to leave.
Zara cried out,
“Papa!”
Akash didn’t stop.
Both were crying.
“Stop!” Kameel said.
Akash turned around.
“This was a test. Actually, I don’t like that red-haired human at all. He can never become my nephew’s father,” Kameel said.
Akash’s head spun. Kameel explained,
“Hameel must have thought something through when he made the two of you the parents of his child. I have complete faith in his wisdom. You are the one who has to become Zara’s father.”
“But Manjula’s marriage will happen with Zavier!!” Akash said.
Then Kameel shouted in anger,
“Who said that??? Has the marriage already taken place? No, right? What a cowardly person you are! Huhhh, pathetic human!”
But Akash continued,
“Then what should I do? What do you want? Should I break Manjula’s marriage? Zavier is better than me in every way. And the biggest thing — Manjula only loves him. I can’t do anything."
“Truly pathetic. Do humans give up so easily? Learn something from us, kid. If a dragon decides, he can conquer the entire world, and here you are, unable to win even one girl. Pathetic!” Kameel said mercilessly.
Akash was now forced to think whether he should really accept defeat. Suddenly one thought came to his mind — Manjula is the moon, and he is a pig. But then another thought arose — so what? Can’t a pig also reach the moon?
Seeing Akash thinking like this, Kameel said,
“Shall I help a little?”
And saying this, he picked Akash up in his hand and threw him into the sky like a ball. After a while, he caught him again. Then, he asked,
“Has your mind opened up?”
Akash, having seen and experienced something from that height, said with full enthusiasm,
“Yes, completely! Thank you so much!”
Then Akash said to Zara,
“Zara, will you come with me on a top-secret mission? The mission’s name is — ‘Break Mommy’s Marriage!’”
Zara shouted with joy.
