Ken vs. Atsushi

In class 2-A classroom, the class was ongoing, and Ken’s seat was located at second to the last row beside the window. Ken kept on looking outside the window even when class was still in session. He looked at the rooftop from across his location and saw Sabrina together with another male student.

Ken immediately stood up from his seat and asked, “Teacher, may I go to the CR?”

Teacher awkwardly replied, “S-sure.”

Ken instantly ran out of the classroom and swiftly ran into the hallway. While he was running, he talked to himself, I know we’re comrades now Kobayashi, but…" He wore a wicked smile out of the blue and continued, "…whenever I see a couple, I’m always crazy to crush them!"

On the school's rooftop, Sabrina's left wrist was held tightly by the male student as she continuously kept on struggling to resist and yelled, "Hey, let me go!"

The boy, who had hair and eyes as black as coal, and dark circles formed from under his eyes, smirked as he replied, "Sorry, but not going to happen."

Sabrina asked, "I don’t even know you. Why are you doing this to me?

"I’m using you as bait to lure someone here. I needed to talk to him", the boy replied casually.

Sabrina complained as she continued to resist, "If you want to talk to 'him', don’t use other people. Why don’t you just go to him anyway?"

"Oh, he never talks to other people. This is my only solution to—", he explained but got cut off when Ken arrived without warning by drop kicking his face. He lost his grip and let go of Sabrina as he fell down the hot floor.

Ken ran towards Sabrina's side and asked, "KOBAYASHI, ARE YOU OK?"

Sabrina with a tear on her right eye, "Yeah. Thanks, and sorry…" She bowed down her head to apologize.

Ken smiled in return, "It’s not your fault." He faced towards the boy's direction and screamed loudly in anger, "Hey! Who the hell are you?! Kidnapping a woman like this pisses me off besides from couples hanging out."

The boy denied as he explained, "Me? I’m not kidnapping her and besides, we’re still in school premises. I just held her hand to lure you here but a certain someone was being stubborn. I don’t care now, though since it lured you here."

Ken smirked, "So you knew that I hate couples, huh? Pretty clever, but…" He instantly punched the boy’s left cheek with a vein throb on his forehead. "Even if I was being tricked, do you think I would lose to someone like you!?"

"Nice punch", the boy stopped Ken’s fist midway from hitting his face by catching it with his right palm.

Ken gasped in surprise as the boy kicked Ken by the chest using his right foot and send Ken flying a few meters away and fell hard on the floor. The boy then said, "Don’t underestimate me just because you’re a little strong. I’m a fighter just like you. By the way, my name is Hyun." He walked towards Ken while introducing himself. "Hyun Atsushi", Atsushi then stomped him by the chest and smiled at Ken wickedly.

As Ken smiled and said as Atsushi swiftly jumped back a few meters away, "You are one scary dude." A red lightning appeared all around his body out of the blue.

Atsushi smirked, "So be it!" He activated his sound waves and instantly hit Ken.

Ken covered his ears due to the noise as he asked in a loud voice, "What? You have an ability, too!?"

"Of course. Don’t think that you’re the only one who could obtain it", Atsushi replied as he made the sound louder and made Ken kneel down in pain. "You said it yourself."

· Atsushi remembered what Ken said to Sabrina from before when they both sat and ate lunch under the Sakura tree,

“There was also a time when I punched him, there was a bit of red lightning around my hand, and I thought that there has to be a scientific explanation about it. I also thought that if I can successfully form my group, I could help them have abilities as well so they could also fight.”

"See?", Atsushi added.

"It’s not that", Ken said as he ignored the loud sound. The very sound that was as annoying and as noisy as a feedback from a microphone that was directly beside one's ear.

Atsushi wondered, "Hmmm?"

"I’m reacting to what you just said because…" Ken started to explain as he dashed towards Atsushi with his lightning activated and boosted him. "…you just eavesdropped on us earlier!" Ken continued as he prepared his right fist and coated it with red lightning.

Atsushi smirked as he followed and prepared his right fist and coated it with sound waves circling around it. The two of them began to scream as they started to swiftly approach each other and get ready to land a punch.

Both of the teenage boys' fists hit each other and a distance away from the building, an explosion and smoke formed as the sound waves and red lightning collided with each other. Their abilities began to grow in size that they could almost cover the whole rooftop area and it made a thunder sound.

Back at the rooftop, the smoke began to clear out and the two boys jumped back from each other as Ken yelled, "Hey, punk!"

"That’s Hyun Atsushi to you, Akatsuki Ken", Atsushi corrected.

"Whatever! What do you want from me and why did you eavesdropped to our conversation?!", Ken asked in anger and in a loud voice.

"Uhh… It’s because I have ears?", Atsushi sarcastically replied.

Ken complained as two vein throbs formed on his forehead and right cheek, "OF COURSE YOU DO! We all have a pair, ok?!" Ken then asked seriously, "What’s your intention of doing this?"

Atsushi replied in a straight face, "I don’t know."

"Huh? Don’t spout nonsense and spit it out!" Ken yelled as he squatted down and placed both of his hands flat to the floor to produce red lightning and it swiftly came towards Atsushi.

As soon as he saw the attack on the floor, Atsushi jumped up and stood still on top of the staircase room. He then elaborately explained,

"I don’t know because I’m confused. First, I observed your movements so I could find a weakness and strike back so the students you injured would be avenged. Secondly, it’s personal. I can’t tell you, yet." He released different black musical notes towards Ken. When it surrounded him, Ken suddenly lied down the floor and fell asleep.

Sabrina ran towards Ken in worry, "Akatsuki? Hey, wake up. What did you do to him, Hyun?"

Atsushi casually replied, "Me? I just put him to sleep so I could beat him to a pulp." He jumped high. "Now… Step aside, little lady!" He landed a few meters away from the unconscious Ken and the worried Sabrina.

"Wake up, Akatsuki. Come on!" Sabrina panicked as Atsushi went towards them. "I said, wake up!" She strongly slapped Ken by his face. Instead of a slap, it was more of a loud smack on the face, actually.

Red lightning surrounded him with Sabrina in a blink of an eye as Atsushi jumped back cautiously. Ken instantly rose up and sit down while placing his right palm on his face in pain as he complained loudly, "Hey! What did you do that for?"

Sabrina replied with her voice raised, "You were asleep in the middle of the battle, stupid."

"I know that. Just don’t interfere or you’ll hurt yourself. I’m dead if an innocent woman gets hurt because of me", Ken said as he faced Atsushi who was behind them.

"That slap managed to wake you up? Well, that was pretty loud and snappy, so…", Atsushi said in surprise then swiftly ran towards Ken.

Ken quickly stood up and dashed towards Atsushi as he thought to himself, "I didn’t wake up because she did that though. That was more than ten seconds when she did that. I was going to caught him off-guard by pretending to be asleep and grab my chance to strike but I guess scratch that."

He side kicked Atsushi at the left part of his head but Atsushi caught his right foot with his right hand, grabbed Ken’s leg with both hands, raised him above his head, and slammed him to the floor. After the impact, Ken punched Atsushi’s ‘center’ out of the blue as Atsushi screamed in agony. He lied down to the floor and grunted due to the extreme pain that felt like you burned yourself accidently by the iron or you crushed your hand when it was stuck between the corner of a door and the wall.

"Wha—What did you do that for?!", Atsushi asked as tears started to fall from his eyes.

"Why? It’s because you keep on showing it to me whenever I’m down and it’s closer to hit", Ken explained as he stood up with bloodlust in his eyes.

Sabrina sweat as she awkwardly commented from the sidelines, "Akatsuki, that’s mean."

Ken said in a straight face, "That’s how men do it, Kobayashi. You won’t understand. Now… How shall I end this?!" His eyes were filled with murderous intent with a wicked smile on his face as he showed his right hand coated with red lightning all around it.

Atsushi was shaking in fear as he saw Ken’s red fierce aura around him. With his eyes were kept wide open that were filled with fear, he was gently holding his injury at the center with both of his hands.

"Now… How shall I end this?!" Ken's eyes were filled with murderous intent with a wicked smile on his face as he showed his right hand coated with red lightning all around it.

Atsushi was shaking in fear as he saw Ken’s red fierce aura around him. With his eyes were kept wide open that were filled with fear, he was gently holding his injury at the center with both of his hands.

"His aura is just like hers", Atsushi thought to himself as he remembered a flash image of a little girl. He continued as he started to cry, "I don’t wanna..."

Atsushi suddenly screamed out loud, "I surrender!"

"Huh?", Ken and Sabrina reacted in confusion.

"I surrender, ok? So don’t come near me!", Atsushi yelled as he started to slowly stand and walked backwards.

As Ken slowly walked towards Atsushi, Atsushi kept on walking backwards, but he was cornered by the grills and closed his eyes in fear.

"Are you ok? Sorry about scaring you earlier", Ken apologized as he stood in front of Atsushi.

Atsushi slowly opened his eyes and saw Ken who was smiling innocently as he lent a hand. He looked at the side as he replied, "I’m fine. Forget about it and don’t tell this to anyone." He suddenly wondered and thought to himself, "I just noticed this but... who was that girl that I compared to Akatsuki with? I don't know who she was, but I suddenly talked like I knew her from somewhere. Nah. She was probably not that important since I don't remember that much about her."

"Sure, but you have to tell me why you were spying on me", Ken demanded as he placed both of his hands inside his pants pocket.

When things started to calm down on the rooftop, Ken sat on top of the grills, Atsushi leaned on the grill as he stood up, and Sabrina sat on the floor in front and a few distance away from the boys.

"Kobayashi, was it? If you hadn’t struggle so much earlier, you wouldn’t have to be hurt. I even reminded you that I won’t hurt you and I meant it but… sorry that I got you involved", Atsushi broke the silence and awkwardly apologized.

"It’s cool. If you just told me to call Akatsuki, I would’ve dragged him for you if you were too shy to ask", Sabrina smiled gently as she forgave Atsushi.

Atsushi turned red like a huge potato due to embarrassment as he tried to deny, "Huh? I—I’m NOT SHY. I was just…"

"So, why did you spy on me and how did you get your ability? Talk or I’ll…", Ken rudely asked as he showed his right hand coated with red lightning.

Atsushi panicked then explained in a calm manner, "Fine, fine. Be careful with that hand. The reason I spied on you is so that I could figure out your motives for hurting our schoolmates and find your weakness so I could tame you."

"Tame? So, I’m a dog now?", Ken asked awkwardly with him having a pair of black dog ears on top of his head.

"It’s just an expression. If you won’t stop hurting the students, you’ll be expelled." Atsushi continued and suddenly shivered in fear. "Actually, I don’t care but the president would kill me if I won’t stop you."

Sabrina exclaimed all of a sudden as she pointed her right index finger towards Atsushi, "I remember now! You’re the school’s student council vice president, Hyun Atsushi aka ‘The Devil’.”

Ken scoffed in denial as he crossed his arms in front of his chest, "You don’t act like a devil to me. You even chickened out after I punched your ●●●●."

Atsushi rebutted then continued to explain, "I didn’t chicken out, ok?! Anyway, I got my black wave notes when I was 13 years old or at least that’s when it activated before I knew it. How about you?"

Ken instantly replied with no hesitation, "Me? It just activated yesterday for only a few seconds."

"What? You’re this good, but you only got it yesterday? It took me a year to master it", Atsushi yelled in frustration.

Sabrina interrupted and asked bluntly, "Atsushi. How about you join our group?"

Ken and Atsushi asked in confusion, "Huh?!"
