Stealing the Traveler's Sandwich and Pastries Instead of their Flesh

The sun rose slowly from the dawn sky, it's sunlight reflecting the stream across the river, other dinosaurs and the other kin doing their normal routine, hunting for this another day. I roaming around the woods, gathered some fresh berries and leafs with my arm, Blue the Velociraptor stood behind me, keeping an eye from the predators. But then, I heard something massive footsteps coming towards our direction. 

The thicket trembled, tiny leaves fluttering in the ground, a small snout poked out, with a squeak, I didn't realized it was one of my siblings, it's small head emerge, it's tail swishing behind, letting out a playful growl. Blue the Velociraptor chirped in curiosity, it approach the juvenile, sniffing it's scene Incase it neither intruder or not. The juvenile Rex chirped, starting nibbling it's tail with harmless baby teeth. 

I laughed, watching them playing together as I picked some ripe one, placing it on the basket, I spun around as I heard something strange noise, almost like a small footsteps.

Wait, it could be humans…? I thought to myself, staring at the thicket, Blue and the juvenile T-Rex paused, they both let out a warning snarl, they both form a circle around me, I adjust my position, clutching my staff preparing to defend myself whatever I face. Then it became louder and louder, but the footsteps was couple.

No… they're not alone… their two of them… I wondered to myself, I eventually fled away back towards the bushes. Blue and the juvenile T-Rex followed after me, we're both hidden in the thicket, observing, waiting for the pounce, until two pairs of leather boots emerge, my eyes lifted, I saw a man wearing a traveler's uniform, two of them, unaware this place was very illegal for humans stepping on this forest. 

Then I heard two voices like they're talking about themselves. I listened, my pointed ears twitch every word, listening with curiosity and cautious.

"Where did you find that mysterious hybrid girl?" one of them; the young man with spiky hair asked eagerly, his eyes lightened up in excitement. Then, the another man from I encountered since last week, same appearance but traumatized? Believing he was haunted by my soul? 

"I saw her from this position! And he steal my mommy's sandwich!" he replied. "I can't believe I was haunted!" he added, his friend facepalm, shook his head, he replied back. 

"Relax dude, maybe she wanted your sandwich instead of your soul, thank to the heavens, at least you're safe." He added. My eyes brightened at the mention word of sandwich. I lick my lips eagerly, hoping he bring another one, including his fellow friend, which food was more tasty? Both of them?

"Yeah, yeah I know, dude. At least she didn't kill me." he said, combing his messy hair with his fingers, his friend commented. "But I'm still nervous and… why the hell are we doing here!? Camping?! Or what?! The sign said 'Warning! Humans are not allowed to step inside!' that doesn't makes sense! Dangerous and aggressive creatures are living here!? Why didn't you tell me!?" his friend cried, turning his head around, back towards his friend, grabbing the collar of his shirt, shaking with both fear and frustration, with a hint of excitement and curiosity. 

"Where we find that mysterious hybrid girl you say?" he asked more eagerly. His stomach growls, his expression changed in disgust as he could feel his belly was empty from traveling, he let out a breath. 

"Uh… we're eating first, before you explain all of this weird nonsense, or something mystery real. Understand?" His friend nodded. They both settling the camping blanket, covering in the ground, lowering their bags against the soft surface. In thicket, I observing them silently with my purple-amber eyes gleamed mischeviously, staring at one of their bags, hoping another discover meal on my entire life, just like a sandwich. 

Two young travellers unzips their bag, two of them holding different meal. The other one unwrapped the plastic, holding the limited edition of extreme bite of the Japanese style chicken burger; layering with burger  buns, layer of mayonnaise spread across the bun, lettuce, double gooey cheese with extra eggs and bacon, three fresh cut of tomatoes, then chicken breast coated in breadcrumbs and spices, adding fresh cut onions and lettuce, coated with tomato ketchup and mayonnaise. The other one holding the box of donuts, six of them, coated with different flavors, shapes, included the mochi donut, coated of different glaze and crispy layers, additional filling on the inside, different sprinkles in the tops was making my stomach growls, and mouth watering. 

I observing them as they ate their own meal, I crouched down in four position, preparing to pounced, Blue the Velociraptor growled in warning, the juvenile T-Rex, my other sibling chirped in concern, feeling worried I might be hurt. I turned around, grunting back with respond; Don't worry, I'm okay. I'm just curious. I turned away towards the traveler's direction, Blue and the juvenile T-Rex whimpered, worried but respecting, my reptilian feet starting to move, my hips rocking like a cat preparing to pounced, eyeing of it's prey. I immediately charge forward.

"Ah, this feels delicious!" the Traveler with messy hair said to his friend, holding proudly his extreme bite of the Japanese style chicken burger, he heard the strange noise like a grunt and panting, he turned around his face went pale, eyes widened in horror as my small form charge towards his direction, he screamed, stood up trying to run, but I was faster I pounced, he squirmed helplessly beneath me, I sat down, my nostrils twitched the scent of fried and crispy, my gaze landed on his other hand, causing my reptilian pupils molding into slits, making a sound of mixed of growl and predatory hunger, without a word I snatched the burger from his hand, I leaped myself from him, landed on all fours with the burger safe on my small clawed hand, fled away from the thicket. 

His friends eyes widened in disbelief with a hint of excitement through on his eyes, he muttered to his friend. "I-I can't believe this is… THIS IS REAL! THE MYSTERIOUS DINOSAUR GIRL IS REAL!" he screamed, almost dropping the half-eaten donut. His friend sat down, his eyes wide, murmured under his breath. He spun his head around to his friend, he leaned close to his friend, their face almost close, but they're not trying to close too much. 

"Uh… you alright?" he asked, swallowed nervously. His friend whispered. 

"Yes… I am, I told you she is REAL!" he replied, feeling hallucinations, he slowly grabbed his sketchbook and starts drawing of the mysterious girl's physical appearance, preparing to report it to the authorities. 

"I'm telling this to the authorities, right now!" he said, his voice was shaking, his knuckle turns white as he kept sketching the details on his sketchbook. "But dude! She's very dangerous animal! You cannot catch her! She's very hard to caught! What if she's cannibal?"

"I know, I know! We need to call the experts about this!"

"But she's considering rare! We cannot find her! She was shy and docile creature!" his friend explained, his hands moving on the box of his donuts, eventually the box was gone, leaving him touching nothing, but the camping blanket, he turned around, one of his eyes twitched, he screamed making the birds flew away from the trees.

"NooooOOO! My donuts!"

Blue the Velociraptor and the youngest juvenile T-Rex belch in satisfaction, I patted my full belly, my cheek covered in breadcrumbs and sauce, I didn't realized the taste of human food was good than a raw meat, as I turned around, the massive shadow loomed above us; my mother T-Rex stared at my face, grunted in disgust, hating the scent, I whine defeatedly like a child scolded by parent, but she nudge my face with her massive snout anyway, forgiven from now on.

Her hot breath hitting my my skin before she turned away and moved towards the shelter, I followed after her, alongside with Blue and my siblings. 

This might be the best adventure I've ever experienced and for the delicious food once again. I wondered to myself, we're heading back towards our home to rest.
