Welcome to the Unfamiliar City

I roam all the entire wilderness doing my own duty, my gaze darting cautiously at my surroundings, I padded my reptilian feet on the earth's surface with the strange book on my right shoulder, the other one clutching the hilt of my spear.

I stepped something long and scale, it makes a sound of hiss in pain, my eyes snapped towards the source of the noise, I pulled my feet from the tail, as I didn't realized I accidentally stepped on the King Cobra's tail, it's hood flared with low warning hiss, standing on it's position, when I moved, it followed back, it's piercing gaze glued at my form. I threw my belongings onto ground, I crouched down in all fours, my reptilian pupils molding into slits, let out a low guttural snarl, the King Cobra lifting  up to 1-3 of it's body, it almost up to 4-5 feet from the ground, spreading it's majestic hood, letting out a low pitch hiss, flicking it's forked tongue before it charged forward with it's speed. 

I stumbled backwards, dodging it's fangs, I lift myself from the ground, landed on two feet in the trunk of the tree, the King Cobra hissed in disappointed, flicking it's forked tongue one last time and slithered away instead fighting back, I barked back one last time, watching it retreat from the bushes.

I leaped from the trunk tree and landed in the ground on all fours, I breathing heavily, almost bitten by the Cobra, just left some scratches on my ribs draw some blood, I ignored it from now as I gathered my belongings before proceed my adventure ahead. With caution, indeed.

I roamed around the pathway, this time be patient, make sure I'll never stepping on venomous snakes like King Cobra I've encountered earlier. I'm feel scared. I thought to myself, tried to shake this out from my head, feeling weird being bitten, but at Least I almost died, but I'll continue my journey through to the strange place I've ever seen before.

I saw a torn map, lay in the bunch of dried litters, I examine with my free hand, I can see the pathway regarding the exit, when I flipped the map, my eyes suddenly lightened in delight as I stared at the food and pastries posters behind the map making my tongue sticks out in hunger, drooling I just wanted to devour this delicious food in the paper, but I shook my head, I realized it was just a promotional images only from the restaurant, outside of the forest, I huffed in disappointed.

"Hmph!"

I tucked the map on the torn book and proceed my adventure in the unfamiliar environment despite my physical appearance, I was wearing a disheveled clothes made from an animal's hide, untamed hair, but I ignored the thoughts as I kept moving with a whistle slip from my lips.

I emerge from the exit, my eyes widened in amazed and disbelief, my belongings almost slipped beneath on my arms, at front of me in the distance; the modern building was big, LED screens showing commercial and any other franchise, they have also the billboard, people moved on the pedestrian lane, cars parked on the parking lot, my reptilian pupils molding into circles, my hands flew over my mouth, with a squealed I dash towards the road, heading towards the unfamiliar environment, hoping would find some free foods in this city.

12:01 pm, in Osaka Japan. The city was so loud than I've ever heard before than the wilderness. Crowd moved on the crosswalk, I roamed the entire city, ignoring the rumors from the strangers, one of them the tourist with holding his phone, accidentally take a picture of me, my gaze shift attention towards him, I crouched down in all fours in defense mechanism, I let a low pitch snarl at him, exposing my bare one fang, reptilian pupils molding into slits, my tail swish slowly behind me. 

But the tourist laughed, clutching his belly, pointing his finger at me, suggesting I wasn't a threat, despite my grotesque appearance. 

"Hahahaha! Look at her! She's pretending to be strong, what a weirdo!" He said, laughing, gesturing to his friends, they laughed alongside with him. He leaned close towards my direction, cooed. 

"Aw, what a cutie little creature you are…!" he squealed in excitement, his almost inches away from my face, I tilted my head in curiosity and agitated.

Before he could make another joke, I shriek and lunged to his direction, biting his finger with my teeth in hunger and feral. 

"Ah! Get it Off! GET IT OFF! Somebody help me!"

The man cried even louder, he pleaded, desperately to let his finger away from my jaws, I refused to let go, he call me 'weirdo'  but I took revenge for underestimate my form, one of his friends calling the cops, the other trying to distract me using the mochi donut to get attention, I freeze, my gaze suddenly fixed on his hand… my tongue sticking out eagerly, I'll let go the tourist's finger from my jaws before I charged forward faster with huff and pant while rushing towards on his hand. The man yelped, he pitch the donut on the pedestrian crosswalk.

"Fetch, you little creature!" He cried, I freeze, I crouched down like a cat eyeing on it's prey, I pounced at the donut, placing it with my jaws.

"BEEEEPPPP!!! BEEEEPPP!!!"

My gaze catching attention on the vehicle, the black sedan moved with speed, the vehicle drawing closer and closer, the driver slamming his fist against the steering wheel, cursing under his breath though he was inside of his car. My eyes widened, I bolted away with the donut tucked safety on my jaws, never looked behind.

The black sedan stopped, shocked look on his face, I heard the tourist explained at front on the police, alongside with his friends, his finger was covered in crimson after incident. 

"She bit my finger without any reason!" 

"What is she?" the police officer asked, open his document.

"S-S-She have a grotesque appearance!"

"What kind her physical appearance, care to explain?" 

"H-her appearance is… she have a 1 reptilian arm in the right shoulder, and two feet, she has a rough scales between her cheeks, tails!" he explained, feeling anxious as he wrapped the fabric around his wounded finger, the police officer realized something, he remembered.

"Ah, the girl in the poster from months ago?"

"Yes! She is!"

"So… he's telling the truth, I'm checking the footage later, but first at all, you must be eject the anti rabies vaccine before your wound gets even worsen it untreated. She was a wild animal from the deep forest."

The city turns normal once more, the danger was gone, but officers keep an eye on the road, preparing to hunt the strange creature who bit the tourist's finger and retreat. 

I'm hiding in the dark alley, people aren't around at this are, I surrounded in trash bags, the scent of putrid making my nostrils twitched, made me gagged, I hide in the cardboard box, curled up into tight ball despite the uncomfortable place to stay as my temporary shelter.

Humans are being mean… I though to myself, tears silently flowing on my cheeks, the book and the map was the only one my comfort from now.
