Chapter 17:
Unforgivable Vengeance
08:00 am, in Osaka Japan. The sound of sirens reverted through the city, police and ambulance arrived, parked in the parking lot, law enforcement stepped out from their respective vehicles, investigate the scene in front of them. They arrived in the dark alley, pile in dried crimson, the atmosphere was very heavy with a scent of a intense, heavily putrid odor and coppery, officers covered their mouth with handkerchief as they stared at the horrifying scene in front of them. The same owner of the cafe and pastries still alive, but his clothes was torn and left few scratches and bite mark on his left arm, cursing under his breath.
Nurse rushed on his side, guide him on the ambulance vehicle to recover however; he was the only survivor left, and the rest of the citizens were death, leaving their tattered clothes stain in crimson and weapons lay still in the pile of crimson.

"Who did this?" the police officer, older than his forties asked, gestured at the pile of crimson, and tattered clothes, and a weapons lay still, stained in crimson. With a paper on his left hand and the pen on the right hand, planning to write the case. The owner of the cafe and pastries responded, while his left arm wrapped in bandages to blocked the wound. "It was a girl! S-S-She's not human! She was hybrid! S-She did this because she…" he stammered, swallowed nervously though his hands were shaking from the incident. He's telling the truth. "She's taking revenge against me!" he explained, making officers eyes widened in horror and disbelief. "…W-w-what…?!" he shocked, also disbelief, notebook almost slipped from his own hand, he quickly picked it up before covering in crimson from the ground. "The only kid did this!?"
The owner nodded furiously, though his form trembled in fear and regret as the law enforcement began to investigate, however some of them pointed her finger at the strange footprint was not human with a trail from nowhere.
"Hey!" she called out. "I saw a footprint, look!" she gestured her fellow enforcement to examine the footprint; it was small, but strangely size of a ten year old feet, it was covered in crimson, one of them, hand flew to their mouth in horror, turned away in disgust, mumbled something under their breath.
"Impossible…" the police officer murmured, he observe his comrade to investigate even further. "So… the hybrid girl is real." he added, realization hits of, he remembered when he observe the mysterious hybrid girl in the poster, believing it was inspired on the mythology creature or from the mesozoic era. The owner nodded nervously. "Y-yes." he said simply, the police officer turned his attention towards him. "Did you hurt her?" he asked, brow furrowed suspiciously. "And that's why she become feral and killed several citizens when she cornered and you made her injured because she trespass on your shop because of her scent. Is that what you mean?"
"Yes." The owner said simply.
The police officer nodded once, his hand moved smoothly as he write on the pages of his notebook to document the incident.

"Unfortunately, that's the part of her nature. Nature curse her when she was a infant, she survive alongside with her mother reptile known as the king of the dinosaurs. The—T-Rex, she survive eating meat from hunting and stealing some human food like yours." he paused, cleared his throat before continue.
"She was raised in the wilderness where mythical or historical creature lives, rarely seen though we believe they're extinct from 66 million years ago." he added. The owner listened before he ask another question.
"Doesn't mean… someone threw her in the woods since she was a newborn?" he asked, feel a pang of guilt and empathy. The police officer nodded, paused write. "And dinosaurs aren't extinct?"
"Yes." he responded. "You shouldn't hurt her to avoid disasters and danger, that's why you ended up injured."
"I know, I'm sorry for my sudden action. I-I didn't mean to lose my customers because of her, because of the scent." the owner explained.
"—What on earth's going on here!?"
Everyone freeze, paused. They shift attention towards the silhouette of a woman and the elder one.
It was Mrs. Aoki and her youngest daughter Yua Naoryuu, their eyes widened in horror as they see what they see; the scent of putrid and copper surrounded them, the stain of crimson scattered in the wall, pile of tattered clothes and weapons lay everywhere, enforcers split out to investigate, the other one examine the footprint in the ground.

"Oh, heavens! What on earth is this!?" Mrs. Aoki question, hands over her mouth, Yua stared, terrified making her hands trembled, mumbled under her breath in realization.
"K-Kyou…? Y-you did this, don't you…?" she breath, heart pounding against her chest, her knees wobbled, she imagine her daughter's presence was here, gone feral though she could see her form of half-reptile and human, she's unusual too see.
Yua collapse on her knees, her mother kneeled beside her with concern look on her face.
"Yua! Darling say something!" Mrs. Aoki adjust her position in front of her, placing her hands between her shoulder, shaking her gently, try to wake her up, but Yua let out a whimper, tears streaming on her cheeks, feeling horrified what she saw.
"K-Kyou…"
"What have you done…? Are you… alive?"
Her thoughts swirling together into one. the image of her husband cursing her, harassing, gave birth to her first child, her daughter, Kyou. He turned her into his obsession instead of finding affectionate and care when they encounter since young age at high school. All of it kept replaying and replaying through her mind.
She placed her hands on the side of her head, crying in pain, she was feel hallucinations as her vision started to blur, she was half-crying, half-laughing that made her mother worried even more.
"Sweetheart! Please respond, don't you dare to collapse, I swear to heavens!" Mrs. Aoki cried while shaking her daughter's shoulder, attempting to get her out from her traumatic past. She snapped her head towards the police officer, calling him.
"You!"
"Yes? Me!?" the police officer asked.
"Call the ambulance! Right now!" she barked, the police officer nodded once and bolted away.

She shift her attention back to her daughter, as she could see her gasping for breath. She whispered softly, chest rising and falling, though her hallucinations was gone, she was safe from now on.
"Mom…? A-am I dreaming…?" Yua asked
"No, sweetheart." she responded, paused for a while. "You're not dreaming, and your not alone." she added, place her hand on her cheek, soothing her daughter for comfort.
You're alive, Kyou. You've came without me.
