Chapter 50:

Chapter 51 — An Anti Climatic End

My New Home

Psyche gasped in surprise and excitement at Sycnal's monologue.Sycnal chuckled. 「Keep it to thyself!」Psyche nodded excitedly in agreement.Sycnal looked at Akuma. 「Alright, Mellow, focus.」
Psyche also looked toward Akuma.
Akuma stood up, visibly enraged, with blood streaming from his nose. 「YOU DAUGHTER OF A WHORE!!!」
Sycnal and Psyche froze, looking genuinely appalled at the insult.
Akuma laughed mockingly. Did that hurt your feelings?Psyche looked at Sycnal, her eyes wide with mock horror. 「Woooooow. Now,」 she raised her hands in a mock surrender, 「I wouldn’t let someone talk about the parent of my child like that, though.」Sycnal took his revolver from his holster and, without a word, shot Akuma's lower leg off. The fight ended with a deafening bang, anticlimactically, as Akuma screamed in searing pain.
Akuma: 【THE FUCK! I S'POSE TO BE BULLETPROOF!】Psyche was surprised. 「You had that all this time?!」Sycnal: 「Aye, I am of African descent; of course, I carry a piece of weaponry!」Psyche looked at Sycnal and sighed playfully. 「Want a piece of chicken and watermelon, plus grape soda, with that?」Sycnal: 「Bring Shizuko hither, immediately!」Psyche: 「Tch.」 She instantly switched back to Shizuko.Shizuko: 「Um... Papa, I’m sorry for what Psyche said.」 Sycnal patted her on the head.Sycnal: 「‘Tis acceptable, fair maiden. Besides, thou lovest chicken and watermelon more than do I, surprisingly!」Shizuko: 「Huh?」Sycnal chuckled. 「Ask Haruka; she shall tell thee!」 He walked over to Akuma.Akuma: Tch, you bastard!Sycnal shrugged. 「Is that the utmost insult thou possesseth?」Akuma spat on Sycnal.Sycnal sighed. 「Now I am obliged to uphold the remainder of the stereotypes.」
Sycnal started stomping on Akuma and did not stop until he knocked him out.
Hana, who was being freed by Shizuko and Sora along with the others, commented. 「Huh? Well, this last part is anti-climactic.Miyeon: 「I know what you mean.」Jiyeon blushed slightly. 「He was more handsome than usual!」Mei nodded in agreement. 「If only that idiot didn't call Shizuko that, maybe we could've seen... more.」Emiko giggled. 「Watching him made me realize something: I'm not better than a man!」Hana, Mei, Jiyeon, Miyeon simultaneously. 「I know right!」Sycnal was still stomping out Akuma. 「Be gone from me, Satan!」Miyeon was slightly surprised. 「Oh, you can hear us?」Sycnal: 「Aye, I can! Hast thou ne’er heard of whispering?」Miyeon giggled. 「Oh, that we can do, but we prefer you being able to hear us.」Sycnal: 「For what reason?」Miyeon: 「'Cause,」 she looked at Sycnal with sinister and aroused focus, 「you'll be working overtime! There’ll be friction, no moisture, no oils, heck, not even Vaseline—just friction and a lot of force!」Sycnal stopped stomping Akuma. 「What sayest thou?」Miyeon drooling over Sycnal.「Yah. I never did demand thy opinion upon this matter, did I now?」Sycnal went back to stomping out the now unconscious Akuma.Shizuko: 「Um... Papa, he’s knocked out now. You can stop.」Sycnal: 「Nay, this is most restful.」 He then called Kikio, his therapist.Kikio sighed. ⟦You know the whole city is watching you right now, right?⟧Sycnal: 「I care not. May I book a consultation immediately?」Kikio: ⟦Regular English, not everyone is Shakespeare.⟧Sycnal switched to Nikolai. Nikolai sighed. 「I’d like to book a consultation right now.」Kikio yawned. ⟦You going to pay me double for this? No, triple!⟧Nikolai: 「But me and your dad Itadori are friends. Why don't I get a discount?」Kikio looked at Nikolai with a deadpan expression. ⟦My dad's name—what is it?⟧Nikolai evaded the question. 「So, yeah, four times the normal price.」Kikio giggled. ⟦Wow, aren't you truly generous?⟧Nikolai rolled his eyes. 「Well, I do try. Alright, I'll be there in an hour or two.」Kikio: ⟦Alright, bye.⟧ She hung up.Shizuko looked at Nikolai, a bit worried. 「You are okay, right?」Nikolai: 「Yah, I'm fine. C’mon, let’s go home.」Shizuko smiled. 「Alright.」 They went over to the others.
Nikolai looked at Miyeon suspiciously.Miyeon: 「What? I’m currently drier than the Sahara desert!」 She gave a teasing smirk. 「I need your downfall as you rain on me!」Nikolai looked away from her, then looked at Sora and Shizuko. 「I know you two are young, but don't be like Miyeon, okay?」
The two girls nodded in agreement.
Miyeon rolled her eyes playfully. 「Anyway, Hana, don’t you have anything to say?」 They began walking out of the building.Hana sighed. 「I’m too occupied to care about y’all banter right now.」Miyeon giggled. 「Fair enough.」 She stretched her body. 「Now that’s crazy!」They were suddenly surrounded by soldiers in unmarked uniforms.
Miyeon glanced toward Nikolai. 「You know who they are?」Nikolai: 「Tch. No, but they do smell Japanese, so it must be some secret ops. Who sent you guys!」JSO#01 {Japanese Secret Ops}: 「Stand where you are! Don't move!」
Jiyeon whispered. 「Do they know Akuma’s broadcast is still on?」Miyeon whispered back. 「No, let's not mention it.」
Hana sighed. 「And what will happen if we don't?」 JSO#02 shot a bullet in front of her. 「You shot at me!」 she said, annoyed.JSO#02 laughed. 「So what?」Hana: 「When I get that mask off your face, I’ll sue you through hell and no return trip!」JSO#02 scoffed. 「If you want that to happen, then you'll have to talk it up with the Prime Minister, who's clearly not on your side!」
Before the JSO troops could take a step forward, guns were placed on their backs by Militian troops.
Sergei stepped out of the crowd. 「Starshiy brat, ty v poryadke? (Older brother, you good?)」Nikolai: 「Da, ya v poryadke. Spasibo, chto prishël. (Yes, I am. Thanks for showing up.)」Sergei chuckled. 「Horosho, tak chto, my ikh ubivaem? (Alright, so do we kill them?)」Nikolai: 「Net, eto slishkom bol'shaya politicheskaya volokita. (No, it's too much of a political hassle.)」 He and the others walked toward his car and drove off.Sergei: 「Horosho. (Okay.)」JSO#03 was shocked. 【How did they get behind us without us being warned or noticing?】Sergei, holding JSO#03 at gunpoint, said. 「Listen well, slabyy chelovek (weak man). This is the reason why fighting Militia would be unfair: you'll die without knowing it!」
JSO#03 felt the gun pulled away from him. When he finally turned to look behind him, Sergei and his troops were gone.
JSO#04 was confused and a bit scared. 「Where did they go?」
