Between The Lines

It was a brand new day , after the chaos that spiraled at Starlight Academy with Yuma being the center of attention.

On that morning a young man was busy shouting again chasing after the bus it was none other than Yuma as he got the bus timing wrong again. This time he managed to catch it before it could get far, the bus driver was forced to stop again and he opened the bus doors "Ohh its you again why am I not surprised " then Yuma replied "Yha sorry again won't happen again promise" , then the bus left for the school.

After arriving at the school everyone seemed to be on edge for some reason as they know what usually happens on the next day of the day, Yuma was just looking around seeing that something is up but he didn't mind it
"man what's wrong with everyone, its like they saw some horror film and now they look like mess"

Yuma then left and headed for his class, once he entered he could feel the tension in the class as well so he took his seat. Asami saw the look on Yuma that his excited so she approached him "looks like your confident for 2days ..." before she could finish Yuma interrupted her "Hey its Asabi, and yes of-course I'm happy its a beautiful day but I guess only for me unlike the rest".

That response made Asami mad "Its Asami like how hard is it to say my name" then she calmed down and continued to talk to Yuma "Of-course everyone is, especially after seeing those emails we got";

In that moment Yuma was confused "uhm emails what email are talking about?" he asked, Asami stared at Yuma for a moment.

Asami then laughed "So you don't know?, well 2days its quiz day, and if you get 50% or less your expelled";
 Yuma was still shocked "wait what expelled" ... Asami couldn't let that chance go so she just laughed "wow and here I thought I was gonna embarrass you, but looks like your doing that for me ".

Yuma just played it cool but in truth he was going insane with what he just heard so he thought "Ouk Yuma just calm down you got this" , the class teacher walked in with the quiz papers in his hands "alright everyone quite, time for the quiz good luck" the teacher then started handing out the papers, as for Yuma on the outside looked confidence but on the inside he was like I'm cooked.

The time for the test was about to start but Asami eye couldn't stop looking at Yuma as she thought "Don't disappoint me Yuma, you better not get expelled" even thinking that her emotions were saying otherwise because she wanted Yuma to stay around as her feelings for him were coming in different ways.

The teacher commenced the test, as everyone flipped the question paper felt like they just saw a ghost with no idea what is going,

 Yuma was also confused as he read question after question and time was running out so fast and before he realised 30 Minutes was left only Yuma hasn't answered even 1st question while some where about to finish so he stayed calm and read carefully and read again 

1st question was: How Many letters are in the ''Alphabets", this made Yuma think as he thought its an easy answer which is 26, but he suddenly remembered that this an elite school that the answer can't be this simple so he read again and soon realised the actually answer is 9 , when he count a-l-p-h-a-b-e-t-s = 9.

Asami was unfazed by the quiz as she was flowing nicely answering every question, then she took a look at Yuma who was busy counting with his fingers scratching his head then made a smirk as she thought "This is gonna be easy embarrassing you Yuma"

Yuma then read next question it reads as follows Q2 In a power-cut You light 4 candles, two burns out after 10 Minutes. The other still burning when power comes back, How Many Candles do you have left? ... Yuma thought carefully that it can't be 2 then he realised that the actually answer is 4 since the question said how many candles do i have left not the burning one.

As he continued to read question after question he remembered that the teacher said read the questions carefully and it turned out the teacher gave them a hint that hint came late as he realised that each answer for each question was hidden in the questions same thing with the next questions

which read as follows: Sarah's mom had 4 kids. The 1st is named North, 2nd is South, 3rd is East; what's the name of the 4th kid?. And just like the rest Yuma answered correctly that the question has already mentioned all 4 kids names the answer is Sarah as the 4th kid.

The test was over even with little time Yuma managed to finish most questions on time but not all. Everyone felt like they wrote a storm but the heat between Yuma and Asami was intense as they faced off and couldn't wait for the day of the results then few moments later school was out.

Next morning on the school gates Asami saw Yuma talking to some girl she started to wonder who is she?, then without realizing she overreacted and rushed to Yuma "Hey! Yuma what are doing talking to her I thought I told you that your my rival no else" both Yuma and that girl were actually caught off guide by Asami overreaction.

Asami then snapped out of what she was doing as her emotions got the better of her "I mean see you later you better not get expelled" Yuma just smiled and gave a beautiful reaction "Don't worry wont be going anywhere before beating you your majesty" then Asami left as she was walking she began to wonder what was that reaction as soon she saw Yuma with another girl that she lost control like that.

Everyone was seated in class including Yuma but he couldn't stop starring at Asami with a side eye when Asami was also lost in thoughts starring outside, as he thought when looking at her "wow every time I see her smile it makes my day" then Asami saw Yuma who keeps starring "Hey, what you starring at!?" , then Yuma just instantly said "nothing just how I'm gonna beat you" was this an instant spark that's taking place will see.

Teacher walked in and everyone was on edge ...but mostly Asami and Yuma as one hopes to beat another. The teacher placed everyone scripts upside down , everyone couldn't wait to see how much they got, the teacher told them to flip so they can see their own scripts

As they Flip Asami and Yuma first duel was initiated as they see How much percentage they got will Asami beat Yuma or will Yuma pull a surprising comeback or might he be expelled for not finishing on time? ...
