Cook Out

It was finally the day for the cook out  project.

The students followed the teacher to the cafeteria and when they arrived they saw a station of tables where each team will be operating in the cook out. The rules were very simple they use the money from their respective tables and use it to acquire each ingredients in the cafeteria.

Both Yuma and Asami were literally avoiding eye contact to each other especially after the weekend saga but Asami was the first to make a move to break up the silent between them "Hey Yuma, well good luck and please don't cook something terrible".

Yuma then made a small laugh "haha , well don't worry Kasami your looking at a MasterChef how about this whoever cooks the most delicious food wins",
 Asami saw the mood that it changed between them and she went back to her competitive side "Your on!, I'm gonna be using my grandmother recipe to win this and my name is Asami!".

The teacher set a time limit for 4 hours were they students will make a meal for the judges and for each other, all students then rushed and picked up the money for the ingredients it was a race against the clock.

Everyone started preparing the ingredients and warmed up the stoves, meanwhile Asami was busy preparing a fried chicken but she was struggling at first especially when it came to chopping up well then Yuma saw her as she was trying and decided to help her out.

Yuma then stood behind Asami and held her hands "Hey there's no need to rush it every meal deserves its time "
then Asami's face started to turn red and her heart began to rush like its running a marathon "what the hell is he doing behind his way to close" she thought.

Yuma didn't even think much of the move he just did "we are a team for today so relax let me show you a trick to cut efficiently but fast"
then Yuma held Asami hand to help her cut properly there was too much chaos going around the cafeteria but eventually every students started noticing them and couldn't help but stare at how cute they look as if they were a true couple.

They both paused for a moment as they realized that all eyes were on them then Asami suddenly moved a little "uhm thanks I got this "
 Yuma then moved back to his table station and couldn't believe of what just happened "what just happened that was way too close what was I doing?, I lost control of myself there for sec".

Time was going very fast and every students were almost done during the cook out. Yuma and Asami couldn't stop starring at each other but eventually when the whistle sounded everyone stopped and they dished out to take out their meal for the presentation.

Student by student were presenting on what ingredients they used and how much in total they ended up saving, meal by meal was tasted by the cafeteria staff in this case judges and they gave scores to every dish and how minded they thought on budgeting.

Finally it was Asami and Yuma to present their dish for the judges; they prepared a steak with some side salad and some well cooked soup they ended up spending a lot but not too much as they explained how different ingredients can compliment each other then Yuma and Asami took a look at each other and smiled.

The judges then tasted their meal , the meal its self was very unique as it was both salty and other part delicious as if it felt undecided they end up getting an average score.
 Asami was the most shocked that it was for the first time she got an average score, Asami was a bit disappointed and blamed Yuma, but Yuma just laugh to make things calmy.

Then later during lunch Asami was calm and sat down with Yuma during lunch time as they began to speak about themselves to know each other well. They both started to laugh talking about how much fun they had and how Yuma as child was misbehaving causing trouble telling her stories.

Asami then revealed that she wish to do something she likes for a change and how much her parents were always putting pressure on her and also meeting Yuma this past few days are one of those best days she has ever had.

"Ohh well you must be hungry well here is the lunch I made for you I even used my grandmother chicken recipe " Asami then gave the Yuma the plate and looked like she cooked something heavenly even the aroma of the food was breath taking "well eat up I cooked a storm ".

Yuma also gave her what he cooked and that first bite she took it felt like angles were singing for her "wow how can something this simple taste this amazing " Asami was delighted of the food Yuma made
  "well my turn I guess let's take a bite" 

The moment Yuma took the first bite felt like flowers turned to thorns "wait a minute this doesn't taste right maybe I'm imagine things yah, maybe another bite" He thought,

 Then Yuma took a second bite "What the hell is this, this chicken its so burnt and hard like rock " he thought

"Even this side dish so salty and hot how much pepper did she add like what the hack Asami" He thought,
 meanwhile Asami was looking at Yuma with a smile "Oww your even crying I guess you were really hungry and enjoying the food i know I'm a great cook "

"Like hell you are" in truth Yuma was actually crying that the food is so hot and had no choice to eat because Asami was smiling, bite after bite it felt like a never ending nightmare for Yuma.

"I wanna go home one thing I know for sure is Asami can't cook ohh lord help me" as the rest of the day goes on and Yuma just hangs on for his life until school goes out.

Will their pride still get in their way or will one make a move
