Chapter 37:

Flight or Fight? II - The Real War

Unforgivable Vengeance

General Naoryuu stared at his own son, furious, his grip still on the collar of his shirt, clenching his teeth. Kohaku swallow hard, his knuckles trembled, mumbled.

"D-dad… I-Is she alive…?"

"Why do I care about your stupid sibling, because she is a WOMAN!" He yelled in front of him, his grip against his own son's collar tightened, the other child stared silently.

"But, Dad! She was my biological sister to me! We're both sibling, my real mother told me that she's not a stranger! S-She's… my long lost sister..."

"Woman like her are not allowed in my entire family! Only a son like you are welcome on my territory!"

"Honey, please— stop!" his wife plead, watching them with pure horror.

"Shut up!" General Naoryuu shift his attention from his son towards his wife, gave her a warning glare making his wife flinched, but there's no room for argument in this place. The guard slammed the door wide, his guards arrived for a moment, interrupt the fight between the father and son.

"Sir! We've found them!"

"Where?!"

One of his guards approach the window, gestured from below with his clawed finger, General Naoryuu draw himself nearer, surveyed the scene in front of him; a massive T-Rex bolted from the exit, followed the sound of thunderous roar, with a young woman with long hair trail behind her like a cape riding on it's back, her face was hidden beneath the wooden mask, behind them, four girls already on their battle attire, one of them, a young woman with long hair cascading behind her as she followed the creature, armor glinted from the sunlight, commanding to stick together.

"Don't let them get away!"

"Understood." the guards said in unison, lowered their head, they left in the chamber with their weapons prepared.

He snorted, his arms suddenly changed into scales, transformed back into his half-transformed beast, clenching his fist in irritation and threw his own son on the desk without looking back, sending him crashed on his back with sharp gasp, leaving him left few injuries.

His adopted mother rushed to his side, her maternal instinct kicked in, cupped his cheek checking if there was a sign of scratches.

"You okay, sweetie?"

He slapped her hands away, tears silently flowing on his eyes. "No, thank you. I'm fine, okay!" he get up from the wooden floor, moved away from the chamber with his gaze lowered, slammed the door shut with a loud bang.

BANG!!

The atmosphere was very silent, except the thunderous explode from the distance, and their breathing. General Naoryuu shift attention back to the window, observing the massive creature attack his guards, except his gaze narrowed on the reptile's back, he'd realized the young girl wearing a mask was out from nowhere, except the four girls clashing against the rest of his minions.

He let a low-pitched snarl, clenching his fist between his sides, watching inside his mansion made of obsidian and burning woods from the forest trees.

~~~
Hiku blocked the blade with her vambrace with a screech of metal against metal as she caught the blade, almost draw closer on her face, making her her teeth, struggling against General Naoryuu's minions like a suffocating tide, her bakeneko ears pinned against her skull, immediately glance over her shoulder to call a backup.
"Violet, help me! I can't hold them alone, I need a backup!"
"In coming!"
With the roar shook the air, Violet raised her warhammer, swung it in devastating arc, the impact sent a shockwave throwing the ground, clearing a path, throwing the minions away into the darkness like a broken dolls.
The scent of smoke and copper lingers in the air, Hiku's arm trembled from the weight of General Naoryuu's soldiers, her silver vambrace with golden details sparkling, blocked from a lethal ambush.
She wiped the crimson line from her cheek, bakeneko ears flattened, sensitive to the footsteps nearby. She didn't have time to react, something stirred, shift her attention to Rosetta.
She collapse on her knees, not wounded but focused on something, her translucent wings lowered, fluttered her eyes shut, summon a casting a spell around her with made of roots and vines, beckoning her golem or aka her deceased father to emerge.
She picked the enchanted apple with her hand, bite from the bottom of the core before she pressed her lips in a gentle kiss and dropped on the green flare beneath her causing the ground rattle, she mumbled under her breath with her both hands clasped together on her chest.
"Father… if you heard me, come, emerge!"
A couple vine-root fingers emerged, if it listened to her command, curled around the ground on the opening, a single tree sat on it's moss-covered rock hunchback, leaves falling, a cape made from moss cascade behind it, the core on the center pulsating in sickly mint green, just like Rosetta's eyes.
A massive shadow loomed the entire clearing, behind Rosetta, it's pupil less eyes gleamed in gold, thick root shaped like horns on the top of it's head, stood taller behind it's summoner.
(GigaPetal)
The soldiers freeze, the massive golem approach, it's massive footsteps reverted through the clearing with grunt.
Hiku's eyes wide in awe. "Woah…Rosetta, I thought you couldn't summon your golem!"
Rosetta gave her a sheepish smile, flustered before shift her gaze back to the soldiers to fight alongside with GigaPetal. She raised her hand, summon another vines to constrict the soldiers away from her friends, Sylvia breath in relief, safe at last, rushed to her shining armored girlfriend, wrapped her arms around her waist in childish cry.
~~~

General Naoryuu emerged from his mansion, followed her wife and his other son, he observe the chaotic scene in front of him; his guards get chased by the enormous T-Rex wearing a saddle, the golem smashed some of them away with Rosetta's on it's shoulder, the others get constricted by the thick vines, squirming helplessly from Rosetta's spell.

From the shadows I emerged from the shadows, charged towards his direction with blur of crimson and raw wrath, slammed my feet into the ground, launching myself forward with momentum from the dinosaur, branches snapped, soil erupted, a shockwave rippled, Hiku and her team shift their attention from their enemy to me, stared in both awe and disbelief, Rosetta barely time to react.

"K-Kyou-san?!"

My father had time before her wife shouted, rushed to him with her gaze wide in horror.

"Honey! Lookout!"

Before he looked back, I slammed my head on his abdomen, causing him to stumbled back.

"Y-YOU—!"

My voice was pure from fury beneath my wooden mask, trauma and instinct I've experienced when he wasn't around, my father stared at me with his eyes wide in both fear and disbelief. He knows I'm no longer like a girl he'd describe. I was the daughter of the T-Rex, born from the abandonment, raised by the creatures, sharpened from grief.

I tear my mask off, threw it from the distance, exposed my rage look, Hiku and her team froze mid-fight, the atmosphere silent, except the sound of cracking flames and breathing.

"You abandoned me from years! You believe I was a weak! Look at me! I'm your daughter—! Grown from the wild without my real mother! And you did just threw me from the woods because you'd choose your own pride against your daughter!" I screamed, my throat was dry from rage, face red, furious, I reach my spear from my other hand, pressed the sharp tip against his chest.

General Naoryuu's eyes widened, pupils shrink in horror, knuckles trembled, he'd realized he believe I was a weak girl he knew, but he made a mistake, I choked, swallowed nervously, gaze still darkened from enraged, breathing heavily, my face still red. I leaned my head to face him, no showing signs of empathy.

"You are the worthless father I've ever met."
