Chapter 39:
Unforgivable Vengeance
I forced my massive snout through the thick fog, the dark mist clinging to my scales, darker as obsidian, my jaw lengthened, teeth sharpened into jagged blades to easily to crush in a single bite force, my legs thick as pillars struck the earth. The forest went silent, then the ambience became disaster, animals retreated, birds scattered and fled away in panicked, the sky was choked with the wings from retreated birds.
Hiku's eyes wide in shock as she stared my enormous form; Q-shaped pupils gleamed in eerie crimson, she coughed. "What's that…? Why is she's tall!?"
"Hiku, listen to me, that's… the Tyranitopheles—a half-demon and half T-Rex, thorn horns long and sharp, symbolized of pure vengeance from her parents' death, and that's why she transformed, stronger than us. We need to split it up and fight her without killing her." Violet explained through her headphones kneeled beside the wounded soldier, while Sylvia raised her hand to heal his wounds.
"Hiku please don't be freaking out—she's destroying the world!"
"What—?! The whole world, why!?"
"I don't know! I caught the rage beneath her Q-shaped pupils! She's taking revenge against everything, include us! You and Rosetta moved closer to stop her from trespassing the city! Sylvia and I will handle the panicked citizens and we'll heading straight towards the city to warn everyone to evacuate!"
Hiku and Rosetta nodded in unison, Hiku shift her attention to her communication earphone. "Understood! We'll fight her without harming her or anybody else."
"Careful, Hiku. She was possess by the devil creature known as Mephistopheles, we have to be careful before it's too late!"
Beneath my shadows, soldiers scream turned into chorus of terror as they fled, Hiku and her team exchange look one more time before they charged forward, Rosetta's wings fluttered, floating beside them, she grabbed Hiku's arms towards my massive form of rage, GigaPetal followed after it's owner, it's massive steps reverted through the clearing, it's core pulsating in mint-green, the enormous T-Rex whimpered, hiding himself from the trees.
While they both gliding, Hiku's gaze roamed my body to find the weakest spot.
I snapped my attention towards them, gaze narrowed furiously, I let a thunderous roar and swing my tail against their side.
"Move!" Hiku demanded as the massive draw nearer, Rosetta flew dodge, her wings hovering from above. I snorted, almost amused.
"Scared, aren't we? What a pathetic hero."
"We're not scared, devil dino! We've already fought demons and supernatural beings before you!"
My gaze darkened, serious. "Oh really? You're braver than I thought, Bakeneko knight. But I could kill people like you with my strong jaws."
"Try me." Hiku gritted her teeth, pupils slitted, her arms still on Rosetta's grip, hovering inches on my massive snout, the scent of ozone and ancient wrath lingers on the air, she shift her attention on above, she observe Sylvia and Violet fled to the pathway.
I snapped my attention to them, let a low-pitched snarl rumble on my massive chest, let a thunderous roar and chased after them, I felt a sharp tug from my legs.
Thick vines coiled around my feet, dragging my form away from the exit, I'd realized it was Rosetta's guardian, GigaPetal, it's massive rock body digging against the earth beneath it, forcing it's body to push even further.
I let a thunderous roar, furious as more vines coiled around my massive form.

In Osaka, Sylvia and Violet arrived on their battle attires, breathing heavily, their chests rising and falling, exchange look at each other, weapons prepared in case of attack, the ambience became silent, except the sound of their breathing. Sylvia took a deep breath, her axolotl frills fluttering, she broke the silence.
"Moved!" she barked, her voice cutting through the air like a blade. Violet shouted, her warhammer trail behind her.
"Everyone moved inside!"
The street erupted, families spilled from the pavements in waves, mothers clutching their child to their chests, citizens stepped out from their vehicles, elder mens gripped the arms who's the nearest, preschool student very young to understand what danger means, but too old enough to the reverted voice of adults dragging them forward to safety.
Shoes slapped against the asphalt, some of them accidentally dropped their bag, desperately to picked it up as the crowd grew, the sound of scream in terror. Among the crowds, Yua yelped as she stumbled on the ground, crawled weakly towards the sketchbook and hair fiber scattered everywhere. Sylvia caught her, rushed towards her, kneeled beside her.
"Are you okay, ma'am?"
"My daughter! Where's my daughter!" Yua cried, wide eyes roamed around the crowded place, Sylvia asked her.
"Ma'am, what do you mean your daughter?"
Yua sobbed, gestured her head towards the sketchbook lay on the asphalt, covered in dust from the shoe markings, Sylvia confused, but she picked the book anyway, alongside the hair fiber almost strangely familiar, sending shivers through her spine, eyes wide in sudden realization.
No… it couldn't be…
"Miss, what's wrong?"
"I-uh… nothing, ma'am."
"Is there something's bothering you?"
"I-…yeah, because… I was thinking from someone almost similar to your daughter."
"Please tell me what's happening, please… tell me right now." Yua pleaded, hands clasped together on her chest, tears flowing continuously on her eyes. Sylvia stared at her, She's telling the truth… she wondered to herself, her purple gaze focused on the woman in front of her in disbelief look.
"There was a monster coming in this city, born from grief and revenge, she's transformed into something dangerous, taller than the building, we risk ourselves to defend this place from evil like her."
"What do you mean…?"
Sylvia swallowed nervously, afraid to tell something, but she break the silent, answered her.
"Ma'am, please don't freak out. There's something I need to tell you, the monster coming in this city—is Kyou."
The name of 'Kyou' ache Yua's heart, almost like a sharp knife, her eyes wide in disbelief and realization, pupils shaking, her fingers curled around the sketchbook she held against her chest.
"K-Kyou…!? You telling me the monster is my own daughter!?"
Sylvia flinched, her axolotl frills flattened, gave her a silent nod with a wistful look. Yua lowered her gaze on the floor, tears flowing continuously on the floor, sobbing violently.
She looked up at Sylvia with tearful gaze, eyes swollen from tears, whispered.
"Miss, can I ask you something?" she asked, Sylvia gave her a silent nod, axolotl frills lifted up and kneeled in front of her.
"Please, don't kill my daughter."
Sylvia's eyes widened in disbelief, but she'd stay silent, hand flew over her mouth, her gaze return to determination, she'd placed her hand on the woman's shoulder.
"We promise to save your daughter—without hurting her to death." she promised, Yua wipe the stray tears from her eyes, sobbing violently.
