Chapter 1:
Dangerously Yours
Rain poured over the city in silver streaks, covering the glowing streets in darkness and neon light. Inside Haneul Academy, students hurried through the halls, whispering nervously as a tall figure walked past them.
Ren Kuroda.
The infamous alpha heir of the Kuroda mafia family.
Tall, cold, and terrifying, Ren moved through the hallway with his hands in his pockets, his black hair falling over sharp red eyes. Nobody dared to block his path. Rumors said he could take down grown men twice his size without even trying.
And every rumor was true.
A group of delinquents near the lockers quickly stepped aside.
“Don’t look at him,” one whispered. “You wanna die?”
Ren ignored them completely.
He hated school.
Too loud. Too fake.
But then—
Crash!
A loud noise echoed from the courtyard outside.
Students rushed toward the windows.
“Someone’s fighting!”
“Wait—that’s an omega!”
Ren glanced outside lazily… then paused.
In the middle of the rain stood a boy with soft pink hair dripping over golden-yellow eyes. He looked almost unreal—cute enough to be mistaken for harmless. But the second a taller student charged at him, the omega spun instantly and slammed him onto the wet ground.
The crowd gasped.
“What the—”
“He knows martial arts?!”
The pink-haired omega stood calmly while three other boys surrounded him. His school uniform sleeves were rolled up slightly, exposing bruised knuckles.
“You done?” he asked sweetly.
One of them cursed and swung.
The omega ducked smoothly, grabbed the attacker’s arm, and flipped him over his shoulder hard enough to make everyone wince.
Ren’s red eyes narrowed with interest.
The omega looked delicate.
But he fought like a weapon.
Another student rushed him from behind, only for the omega to kick him straight into the fence.
“Don’t talk down to me because I’m an omega,” he snapped coldly. “I’ll break your jaw.”
Silence fell over the courtyard.
Then the omega looked up—
Straight at Ren.
For a second, the entire world seemed to stop.
Golden eyes met crimson ones.
Neither looked away.
The omega frowned first.
Ren stared down at him expressionlessly before turning and walking away from the window.
But for the first time in months…
He was interested in someone.
—
Later that afternoon, Ren entered the empty gym storage room to retrieve his jacket. The moment he stepped inside, he sensed movement.
A fist flew toward his face.
Ren caught it instantly.
The pink-haired omega clicked his tongue.
“…Fast.”
Ren’s grip tightened around the omega’s wrist.
“You attack everyone you meet?”
“You looked suspicious.”
“You’re in my way.”
The omega tried twisting free with another martial arts move, but Ren slammed him lightly against the wall before he could escape.
The omega glared up at him furiously.
Even pinned, he didn’t look scared.
Ren noticed how small he seemed compared to him. Pink hair. Sharp yellow eyes. Soft lips. A pretty face hiding a dangerous attitude.
“What’s your name?” Ren asked.
The omega smirked.
“Why should I tell you?”
For the first time in years, Ren almost smiled.
Because this omega—
Unlike everyone else—
Didn’t fear him at all.
