Chapter 822:
En Passant Grandmaster
"Alright, so now they're telling me I need to play against the rock and stone in 960... They know how I am with that shit. Fine, but I go first!" Kisha fumed as the board was set up.
Though the rooks were all on the a and h files like normal, knight were on the b and f files, bishops were on the d and e files, queens were on the g file, and kings were on the c file. Kisha opened by moving her pawn to e4, with the rock and stone team moving their pawn to d6. Moves such as f4, bishop a4, knight c3, bishop d7, d4, h5, h4, rook h6, bishop f3, e6, a4, a5, and knight e3 played out before the rock and stone team decided to move their pawn to c5, swinging the match drastically in one side's favor.
Kisha decided to capture the pawn at c5 with her d-pawn, resulting in the rock and stone team recapturing said pawn with their d-pawn. Then came knight c4 and knight g6 before Kisha spotted a chance to go for the win.
"Check, you two suck," Kisha snarled as she moved her knight to d6.
This forced king to c7 and lead to another check in the form of queen captures c5, prompting the rock and stone team to move their bishop to c6.
"You two are as dumb as you look. Check," Kisha grumbled as she moved her c-knight to b5.
The rock and stone team were forced to move their king to c7, but then Kisha began to scowl in confusion. "Uh, I can castle, right? Uh, does the king move here, or do I just move the rook?"
No advice came from the staff, leading to Kisha having to figure things out on her own, which she eventually did, leading to her castling queen's side. The rock and stone duo then decided to capture the knight at b5 with their bishop, but by doing so, they rolled out the red carpet for Kisha.
"And we're done with this shit in 2. Check," Kisha sighed as she captured the pawn at b7 with her knight.
The rock and stone team was forced to move their bishop to d3, allowing Kisha to capture it with her rook and check the king, forcing said king to e8.
"Checkmate! Now back to your regularly scheduled character spotlights," Kisha smiled as she captured the bishop at d8 with her rook, winning the game.
