Sympathism Act VI

I really don't know how to explain the disillusionment, the problem with overestimating an idealization of ours is that when it goes wrong, we feel empty and lifeless, At that moment when I heard the flesh being pierced by a dagger... "You should stand up Young man" I hear a soft quiet voice coming from the same direction as Jack, with a little force I lift my head and see Leonard holding Jack's hand with the knife stuck in his hand.

"Well, if it isn't Leonard Foster, Lana don Ferraz's security guard" Jack says laughing and looking directly at Leonard

"Please don't speak my name, I want my name so precious to me, to come out of the mouth of a murderer who doesn't have an iota of sense and victimizes himself for his suffered past" Lana speaks while quietly drinking a glass of wine at a table

"Well well well, what have we here? The Madam of the Shadows is here too, I realize I will kill everyone here, Sisyphus will be proud of me indeed" Jack says with a sarcastic tone

Alice runs to me while I am lying on the floor in pain, she tears a part of her dress to use as a bandage and ties it on my wound, using a little strength on my shoulder, Alice puts my arm in place, the pain is immense but the wound hurts even more

"Why?... run away from here... save yourself, let Leonard take care of that murderer" with little groans of pain I speak looking at Alice.

"I will not let you die here, you have already helped me so much, you even took a stab for me, in all these years I have never met a soul as good as yours Johnny, even though you come from a noble family and are full of bitter people, you are a good person" Alice speaks while holding back tears from falling into her wound.

Once Alice saw her brother fighting at school and instead of helping him, she just watched, her brother saw it and still couldn't react, his eyes were swollen and sandy, after they got home, her brother cursed her and ran to his room, her brother was quarrelsome so she didn't see the point of always helping him; one day he will learn, she thought, until her conversation with her father.

"Daughter come here... dad wants to talk to you about something" your father said sitting in a leather armchair near a fireplace.

"What is it daddy?!" said Alice with the look of doubt she always had, so with a smile on her face her father said looking directly at her with a charismatic look.

"Daughter, life often turns into a war, we must learn to attack and defend ourselves, but as we walk through this desert, we find companions, so we must protect them so that he protects us, just as today you could have defended your brother, tomorrow he may not defend you, tomorrow is uncertain, do good today so that in the near future we will do good for you too, my daughter.

"No need to be sad daughter, I just want you to apologize to your brother, he and your other brother Rony are your comrades in this great war" Says Alice's father with a proud smile on his face, thus making Alice shed small tears.

"Just know that your father as well as your mother, is proud of you"

"Come and eat, Dinner is ready!" Mom speaks in a loud tone for everyone to hear,Ron and Mike who was a bit bandaged come down to eat as well.

"Mike...I'm sorry I couldn't help you today...but next time let me protect you" with few tears in her eyes and a confident face, Alice speaks to Mike, "I will protect you too Ron!"

"What are you guys talking about?!" Rony with his mouth full, speaks looking at Alice and Mike

"ARE YOU EATING BEFORE PRAYER?! GOD WILL PUNISH YOU!" The mother says to Ronnie with a serious look and in an angry tone as every mother has. thus making everyone laugh and that became a beautiful family night, Alice's childhood was full of jokes and pranks, with some fights and intrigues sometimes but always with a moral lesson made by parents... until that moment.

On a full moon Sunday night, Alice heard moaning, clothes tearing and dishes breaking, she couldn't hear her mother, but could hear her father and some roaring.

"I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE.... WE HAVE NOTHING FOR YOU HERE!" said Alice's father while holding that hooded man, the man didn't say anything just held Alice's father's arms.

"Dad...who is this man...where is mommy?!" Alice arrives and asks with the same look of doubt, but this time... his face expressed sadness and fear, Alice looks at the wooden counter on the side of Alice's father had a gun that was from the bandit, she didn't understand anything else, she only saw her father's face of anger and fury mixed with empty eyes and with tears of sadness

"GET OUT OF HERE... RUN TO YOUR ROOM AND DON'T COME OUT OF THERE!" Her father in a worried tone shouts to Alice while holding the man, while Alice's father shouts, she looks to the side and near the door that goes to the kitchen she sees a hand out of the door and a pool of blood dripping down the side, Alice may not have understood what was happening, she didn't understand the blood that dripped under that hand, but without understanding... she felt a great sadness

"I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE!" her father in an even sadder tone shouts to Alice

"PROTECT YOUR BROTHERS, AND PROTECT YOUR COMPANIONS!" After she shouted, Alice remembered that her father told her, and ran into her room crying with fear.

Arriving at her room, Alice wakes up her two brothers and takes them to a secret place inside the wardrobe. After hiding, all Alice hears is a very loud sound that lasts 2 seconds, the sound of a gunshot, Alice has already heard this sound on the radio. then she hears the same sound again, after this sound Alice and her brothers who were afraid did not hear anything else.

Alice, worried, decided to go downstairs to see how her father was doing. When she got there she found her father sitting in his armchair near the fireplace, which used to be warm and cozy, but was now cold and dark.

"Mike and Ron were paralyzed with tears on their faces, while Alice looked at the bandit who was lying on the ground in a pool of blood shot in the head.

"Dad...you're going to be okay...aren't you?!...mommy's going to be okay too...we're going to have more happy times as a family...aren't we?!" Alice stammered and cried while Mike cried trying to hold back his tears.

"Daughter... daddy wants you... to take care of your brothers... and look after your mates... daddy is proud of the woman you will become" Alice's father speaks as the air in his lungs runs out and his gaze starts to turn neutral, but it was all said with a proud smile on his face.

Alice at that moment hugged her father while Mike and Ron cried and asked God for their parents back.

Alice and her brothers, Mike and Ronnie, were sent to a home for help in West Central London, and then put up for adoption. That scene stayed in Mike and Ronnie's heads, and with the help of psychologists and pedagogues, they managed to reconcile Ronnie's mental state, but Mike was very traumatized and especially angry at the bad people who had taken his parents' lives.

14 years later he became a street person, Mike lived in fights and underground fights, Mike was good at fighting but often came back totally beaten, Rony became friends with an enterprising young man who owns a furniture store so Rony got a job as a clerk and cleaner of that store, both became very good friends and decided to open this store together, Alice got a job as a waitress, but she was not paid enough to help her brothers, the rent was too expensive and along with food and comfort they could barely afford, Alice wanted to give a better education to her brothers, she became a mother to her brothers and wanted them to go to college and become great people.

One day the chips had fallen for Alice, with the job she had she would never be able to afford college for her brothers, until that was to change when Alice met Gerald, who introduced himself to Alice without any kind of Last Name, just Gerald.

Alice started working at the Rose Pallace, although it is a chic place with many beautiful girls and high-class people, it is there where you will find the most bitter people in this world, this place where many kinds of situations happen, from negotiations, to drug trafficking, to contracts and plundering, where you are served with the delicacies of the house and the "main course".

Alice would do anything for the sake of her brothers, Alice would suffer for the sake of her brothers.
