Chapter 5

It’s been a day since I started following this human party.
I have hidden myself from a distance and they haven’t noticed me since I blend in with the surroundings and keep quiet.
They have been on a roll as they sweep through the creatures here, mostly thanks their superior numbers but it’s still impressive.
They have an item bag but it can’t store everything, it has a limit but even so, the fact that even adventurers like them have it means it’s widely available in the market.
This world’s power level and equipment are not to be underestimated otherwise I will quickly find myself dead when faced with a weak party that just happens to have some strong thing.

Of course I head down and pick off the leftover carcasses, I don’t have a place to keep them so I just eat them right there.
They find an egg and decide to go home it looks like, now is my chance to go outside this dungeon.
Something comes roaring loudly at them, a dragon? it looks like a brown dinosaur but with longer arms.
They run but the dragon is faster.
As they make a last stand to fight, 2 girls talk to each other and they head on leaving the rest behind.
Ah, this is what happens when you don’t have party unity and  just make alliances with any team.
You aren’t teammates hardened by friendship so it’s easy to just run and abandon the others.
In any case I can’t allow them to escape so I string them up, just in case the others die I need them to lead me outside.
‘aah what is this web, there’s too much of it’ the rogue is struggling so I raise my web output and secure them.
I can’t control the string webs how I want yet so it’s a hassle that I need to turn around each time I shoot it.
Meanwhile the other humans are fighting the dragon, it’s an earth dragon apparently.
I thought it was really powerful but I overestimated it, in their desperation they were able to damage it and even pierce its skin which is like armor.

I am thinking of attacking it since I will get closer to evolving again by killing something this stronger than me.
It’s risky but it’s injured and those wounds will let me bite into its flesh without worrying about destroying its skin first which is beyond my power right now.
The last wizard magic strikes to its wounds convinces me and I go above it.
As it beats them I shoot my web at full power and immobilize its arms.
It’s struggling and breaking free as I hurry to its legs and bit it in an open wound,.
I inject every last bit of poison I have then go back to the ceiling.
It’s working as it’s having a hard time standing, more webs this time to it’s feet.
It collapses down and now to wait for it to die.
‘shoot shoot!’ the wizards are back up and shoot at me, the nerve of these guys.
3 warriors are charging in my direction.
It can’t be helped, I sprint over and give them the final blows.
Right through the chests as I impale the wizards first, then slash the warriors apart with one hit each.

New skills, don’t you just love it, or rather than skills they seem to be titles that just add to my skills and strength without my needing to activate them.
4 warriors on the ground, I finish them off for good measure and as I go to the archer, the 2 girls yell ‘wait, please spare her, she won’t attack you’.
I just want to get out of here already before something strong arrives like a huge experienced spider or dragon so I wrap the archer up as well.

I look at the dragon and it’s dead, should I evolve now? it’s the strongest here so I should be save for a while.
I quickly evolve, there’s only one path available.

Lesser Tarachnid to Tarachnid, so I choose it.
There I pass out again, it's a bit longer than before all-tough it's not that long, it must be become these forms are still weak so it doesn't take much time.
I am twice as big now and I feel stronger overall, though I would still lose to the earth dragon head on most likely.
Time to eat, I leave everything that isn't meat uneaten, they are useful for trading.
Now then, it's time to talk with those girls.
