Tsar Grigori the Terrible [Special]

Tsar Grigori Ivan Vasilyevich I, age, 53. Height: 203 cm. Occupation: Tsar of Russia and unofficial leader of the Desperado League. Favorite chess piece: The king. A secret descendant of Russian royalty, Grigori began his early life by joining the KGB in order to rise through the ranks and get close to the reigns of power. He was initially planning to seize power by currying favor with the elites without revealing his royal lineage, but thanks to catching wind of the DESPER project, he was able to modify his plan to be more in line with what he always dreamed of.

Once the DESPER was ready for commercial distribution, Grigori simply had to wait for the right time to seize power, which presented itself to him when Russia's president decided to go to war with Ukraine. And after besting both the Russian and Ukrainian presidents in DESPER matches, which eventually led to the former being killed by his hand, Grigori officially became tsar of Russia. Now with free reign to do as he pleased, Grigori quickly made Russia the world's largest chess superpower by having all its soldiers be skilled in chess either naturally, via artificial implants, or both.
