Chapter 3:

Journey to the capital

1 Billion Years Journey

- "Are you good now? You were in depression these whole 3 days. Will you able to attend on mourning process?"

Seelie broke silence with her words.

- "Yes, I feel a little better now. I will attend, what about you? By the way, do angels feel sad when someone dies?"

Nate answered silently.

- "If I say no, I will lie to myself. In terms of the rules, they shouldn't feel any emotions, but I am more or less like in your situation. I will also attend in that process."

She just replied.

Nate and Seelie gathered themselves and went to the mourning process. Near the village, there is a big graveyard 2 times bigger than the village. When they entered the graveyard, they saw so many graves including old, young people and even children. The graves are mostly built from stone, but in some graves, wooden parts and ornaments can be clearly observed. Everyone gathered around the new built graves and the village chief started to talk:

- "All residents of Amara village, today we are gathered here for this event. Even Seelie angel of the God, Dyabietta and the hero, Nate Youma are attending in this event. Everyone knows yesterday we bravely fought against one of bastard monsters, goblins. Though the size of these enemies were more than the previous one, we won this battle and saved our people again. Like other battles, in this fight, we lost our dears and brave warriors. No need to be sad, these people put their lives in this fight to save the village, we should be proud of them instead. I know that it is hard to accept this fate, but we, the people of Amara village are like that. It is not the first time that they attacked, and it will not be the last, so no need to succumb to this fate, but fight against it. We should grow again, fight again and show our tenacity to these bastard monsters. By doing that, the soul of each warrior died in battles, will be in peace."

From the charm of his speech, everyone awakened from their despair, started to mourn these brave warriors proudly. After the mourning process finished, Nate and Seelie met with the merchant and said goodbye to Amara village, leaving the village on a horse wagon. On their way, he learned from Seelie that these places are a part of Negas kingdom, and their destination is the capital of this kingdom, Selchia. He woke up near the border of this country and fortunately, Amara village was near to him (let's say approximately near). Though the capital is far from Amara village, there is a religious temple that has teleportation portal which opens directly to the temple inside of Selchia. It will take about 2 weeks to reach the capital. This kingdom is very religious country and accepts Dyabietta as their God. Seelie is special assistant angel of God, and she doesn't have common task like other angels, he assigns her different tasks. For that reason, churches and temples are common buildings for this country. Temples are special types of churches and guarded by religious warriors. These buildings are used for praying and resting, and some have ritual places and teleportation portals (these special temples are heavily guarded). This kingdom is located in the middle of a cross-shaped big Amarat island. Other than Negas kingdom, there are 4 other countries on this island: Nyeta kingdom on the west, Selvia kingdom on the east, Uzumbir kingdom on the north and Altoria empire on the south. Among these countries, Negas was the smallest one and Altoria is the biggest country.

One thing from the last battle worried him so much. The monster that he fought was like a human, so basically, he murdered someone. According to his research on his telepathic ability, he observed that this ability works on only humans and human-like creatures. It was hard for him to accept the sad truth that he murdered someone, and he will keep murdering everyone on his way till the end of this journey. And in that battle, he didn't have time to think about that, so he chose the side of humanity. He also wanted to talk about goblins with Seelie, but he was afraid that she would find out his unknown telepathic ability. There are so many "what if" scenarios in his head, he agreed with himself that what was done cannot be undone, but in future battle, he should think about that carefully.

After thinking a little bit, he decided to watch the view from the open side of wagon to rest a little bit. The wagon was moving on a dirt path and there was not any tree near the path, so the sky could be clearly seen, but beyond this path there was a thick forest with dark leaf trees. The forest was so thick that inside of forest was dark. There was nothing in the sky except a few small clouds and birds. By breathing fresh forest air into his lungs and listening to charming bird sound, he slowly went to sleep. Their journey took 1 week and 3 days for them. The dirt path ended near a big mountain and a stone path started. There are also 3 dirt paths joining to this path other than theirs. The stone path led them to a big temple at the foot of the mountain. There were 2 merchant wagons ahead of them, and at the entrance of the temple, there were two guardians with spears. They were checking merchant permits of merchants and if documents were right, they were opening the big gate of the temple and letting them enter. When their queue came, all of them got off from the wagon, the merchant showed his permit, Seelie introduced herself and Nate to them, and showed the hero symbol on his right hand. Firstly, the guardians did their "Respect to Dyabietta's Angel" ritual and let them enter the temple. They got on the wagon again and rode it to inside of the temple. The stone path was continuing inside of the temple and all temple monks were standing on both sides of road and were showing their respect to the angel. There was a big portal ahead of them and it was the first time that Nate had seen and entered the portal. While passing through the portal, he didn't feel anything special, it was like normal walking, but he felt the temperature difference between 2 environments. The weather of the first temple was a little chilly because of its location, but the second temple they appeared in was warm. In that temple, they observed the same respect from monks again. Near the exit of second temple, the permit of merchant was checked again, but this time, Seelie and Nate remained in the wagon. After a short checkup, the gate of the second temple was opened and shiny light from outside illuminated the temple. The warm weather of the city and noise of people outside welcomed them.
