The Bard, Fuguyama (Part 4)

“S-Stop, please! I’m poisonous! If you eat me, you’ll die!”

Fuguyama tried to escape from the restaurant, but the front door would not budge. Tanimaki and the others looked ready to pounce on him at any moment.

“That was easier than I expected.”

Belle gave a fearless smile. The other customers were under her spell as well, and not a single one of them tried to help Fuguyama.

“Aaaah! Somebody! Help me!”

Fuguyama had no idea what was going on. All he could do was scream desperately while Tanimaki, Debiru, and Mayutan chased him around.

“I’m so hungry I’m getting dizzy, meow…”

Unable to endure the hunger any longer, Tanimaki pulled a Libera Fruit out of Mayutan’s magic bag and bit into it with all his might.

“Ugh! This tastes awful, meow!”

Even so, Tanimaki forced the Libera Fruit down.

“Gah! What am I doing, meow?”

At last, he came back to his senses. Then an unbelievable sight leapt into his eyes.

Debiru and Mayutan were chasing Fuguyama. Worse still, their eyes were exactly like those of hunters about to finish off their prey.

They were trying to eat Fuguyama!

“You idiots! What do you think you’re doing, meow?! Eat a pufferfish and you’re headed straight for the afterlife!”

With that, Tanimaki shoved Libera Fruit into Debiru’s and Mayutan’s mouths.
