Chapter 27:
WRZ
We talked until sunrise. We had decided where to go.
I suggested, "You two don't want to come?"
Kevin answered, "Who do you think will protect this town? Don't worry about us. We know what we're doing!"
Tasyah responded, "Just remember what we were talking about! And you better protect your sister!"
"I would never leave her side! Don't you worry!"
Wasn't that a nice sight? Tasyah made new friends. I never thought she would get any... Well, I should get one too, to be honest.
My daydreaming got interrupted, "Thinking weird again, Zeed?"
"... No..."
"Teehee. You're an idiot! I can see it on your face, you know."
... I seriously need to practice hiding my feelings from my face. I couldn't let it slide when we faced the enemy. It would be my downfall, for sure.
"So, we're going West, huh?" I was talking to myself.
But Tasyah answered, "We sure are, and it will be a long journey."
"And it's on an island, huh. No wonder we never see any development on the main island."
"It was basic math. The question was: what did they get in there? We knew Kevin and Rasia's parents were still there."
That's true. I was surprised too about the distance Kevin and Rasia made from the island where they were born.
Harold interrupted our conversation, "Yo, Tash! We have all the gas we need. We could go for a week's field trip with it."
"Nice! Did Wiwin have what she needed? I heard she packed a lot of fresh vegetables, fruits, and meats."
"And cooling boxes."
"Great. I'll get ready to make the ride."
Seiza got into the RV, and Popo followed along.
"You're a good boy, Popo! I couldn't believe can turn into mystical beings."
Hearing that, Tasyah and I shouted a Mythical Creature in our minds. We had different thoughts, though.
Me: "Minotaur?"
Tasyah: "Unicorn?"
We looked at each other and laughed it out. Seiza answered, "Nope. It was a Griffin."
Then I jolted from my seat and shouted, "You flew?!"
"... Yeah, what about it?"
I approached Seiza and grabbed her shoulder. "Did a hero spot you?"
She was sweating and shakingly answered, "I... I... flew low. No body saw me at all. I don't even see any hero when we flew."
I turned and faced Tasyah. "We're going now!"
With that, we hit the pedal and went west to the island Kevin had mentioned.
Popo yapped at me, and Seiza translated it, "Eh... he said sorry. I need to apologize as well."
I answered, "There is no need to apologize. It's already happening. At least you guys learned a lesson."
I might have sounded rude, but I was being serious. One single wrong move, and then we're done! You see, I haven't talked about why this is a problem. So, listen up!
Think about it like this.
Every country in the world had a list of heroes; they kept it publicly, and everyone knew them. What happened when an unknown "hero" was discovered?
That's right! The heroes would chase them and force the unknown hero to sign a legal document. These legal documents were about the World Dawn. Every hero in the world HAS to join the fight at least once. Now you understand why Kevin and Rasia fled from their parents, right?
"Are we set to go?" Tasyah asked all of us while looking back at the RV.
I answered anxiously, "JUST GO! Come on!"
"Zeed, calm down! Can't you see Wiwin hasn't properly sat yet?"
I looked back and accidentally shouted, "COME ON, WIN. WE CAN'T RISK ANY SECOND!"
Tasyah smacked me in the head and shouted back, "I SAID CALM DOWN! Why are you so anxious?! Seiza said she hasn't been discovered."
I answered firmly, "And that's where you're wrong, idiot! Have you forgotten?! Jordan literally said they have a tracker or some sort, where they can track people using their power. You even convinced me that your power won't cause anything. Yours was passive, right?"
She widened her eyes. I might have angered her.
"Wiwin! We're going! Are you ready yet?"
"Yeah, I am!"
... or not.
I shouted at Kevin and Rasia, "Take care, you guys! Be careful if any hero comes by! Just act like a normal civilian, okay!"
Kevin and Rasia waved and said, "We'll do!"
At full speed, Tasyah went ballistic with the RV. Pebbles on the ground? She crushed it. Curve road up ahead? She didn't slow down.
"Look at who's anxious now!" I joked around.
"OK! Fine. I was in panic mode then, alright! I forgot about the tracker thingy."
She slowed down significantly after about five kilometers away from Bodjonglopang. I could hear people on the back sighing.
"You are still sweating, Zeed."
"You think?"
"Sorry."
"Look, Tasyah! I'm sorry about my tone back then. I wasn't..."
"Don't!" She gave me a hand on the shoulder with her left hand. "But you need to say sorry to Seiza, though. She looked like she was about to cry when you shouted at her earlier."
I looked back and focused my vision on Seiza and Popo. They looked calm.
"I'll be right back."
"No need. I have my Mind Library. You don't need to be my GPS this time."
I walked slowly to the back and kept my balance steady. I approached Seiza and said, "Hey, I..."
"No! You don't need to say..."
"No! I insisted. I yelled at you. I shouldn't do that... Any leader shouldn't do that."
"I understand it, though. I also forgot about the tracker. We literally talked about it in the apartment about scheduling my use of power."
I could hear her talking calmly. I'm glad.
"Next time, I wouldn't yell at you again."
"No, no. Keep that attitude. You'll need it."
"But... you were crying, weren't you?"
"I did... but that wasn't a regular cry."
She sighed, and Popo turned into a slide of paper. I guessed that was what he turned into when Seiza was in this emotion.
"It was just reminding me of when I got yelled at by my parents."
"Huh?"
