Chapter 0:
"The Witch Who Saved the World Now Just Wants to Drink in Peace (Too Bad a Little Girl Showed Up end now she needed again)"
Deep in the mountain there was a little girl. This little girl someday will become a heroine that will bring peace and prosperity to this world, but for now she was just like all girls her age, full of wonder and curiosity, and right now, well, you can probably guess.
"Alright my subject, bow down to me as nature bowed to me as it gave me my existence."
But no sound. All she sees is a construct of a girl her age.
"Eh, I still haven't learnt how to make them talk or alive. Well, no bother, I still have a lot of spells to practice and play with."
Then she heard a woman shout, "Sera! Seraphine Vaelnor, little lady, where are you?"
Sera noticed her mom's voice. She replied, "Here I am, mom! I'm just, eh, pl- I mean studying some tomes."
Her mother followed her voice and found her. "There you are, little lady." Her mom looked at the area surrounding Sera as she found not a tome but a construct of not only a girl but tree houses—essentially what a village is—outside of her coven.
"See, mom, I'm practicing my magic just like you said."
Sera cleared her throat and started to speak her mom's famous teaching: "Little magic today and tomorrow powerful witches that destroy any who get in her way."
Her mother sighed again, this time with more exaggeration. "Sera, that's not what I taught you. It's actually: 'A little magic today becomes great magic tomorrow—but only if you have the patience to learn.'"
"Yeah, just like I said, it's just shorter and more direct, right, mom?" She smiled.
"Huh, oh, what would I do without you, dearest." Sera's mom patted her hair.
"Now it's time for us to pray to our patron, Lady Evelith Arcanis."
"Ok mom, but why do we have to do it? If she's strong, why does she need our prayers?"
Her mother giggled at her daughter's curiosity. "Well, we pray for many reasons, but for me it's a gratitude, as I get to have such a cute and smart daughter." Her mom tickled her.
"Ah, mom, stop it, hehe!"
The mother and daughter then prayed to their patron so that Sera may become the legendary heroine that saves the day.
"Lady Evelith, please bless my daughter Seraphine Vaelnor. Give her your guidance and lend her your power, that eventually she may become not just a great witch but a hero to everyone, to all kind, so this land and beyond may find peace and prosperity."
A few years after this, Sera began her journey. She started to use her magic to protect the world—from a village in peril due to an evil baron, to a castle besieged by an evil demon—all kinds of foes she fought till there were none left, and she became unnecessary to the world.
