Chapter 1:
"The Witch Who Saved the World Now Just Wants to Drink in Peace (Too Bad a Little Girl Showed Up end now she needed again)"
Now in a closed tavern in the middle of nowhere, a land unknown to any map, a place where a retired witch drinks away till she's drunk.
"Ah hehe, that hit the spot, bartender, another."
"Knock it off, Sera. I've been closed since, well, since you put me out of business." The female elf bartender pointed to a shelf of empty bottles.
"Hehe, ah, time passed so quickly when you're having fun."
"Not quick enough for you to become a mature woman, unfortunately." The elf bartender cleaned Sera's empty glasses.
"Hey, just because your age moves slow doesn't mean you can lecture me about being mature." Sera burped.
The elf bartender sighed. "Oh, how the great have fallen. Well, I'll be going to the market to get some supplies. You, uhh, can stay."
The elf then left through the back door, leaving Sera alone in the empty tavern.
"Hehe, finally quiet at last."
A few moments later, the main door of the tavern rang.
"Oh, back really soon, huh, Erufi? I thought elves always took their time, hehe."
"Eh, sorry miss, I'm not Erufi. My name is Clementine. I'm from the mountain."
"Mountain, hehe, you must be a centaur with their big horns and four legs. Why do you have so many legs anyway? Ah, I get it, it's so you could uhh climb those tall mountains, right, hehe. The mountain is definitely a solitary place to live."
"Eh, no miss, I'm a, uhh, it's complicated."
"Oh, I get it, you're a mixed race, right? Yeah, people aren't too kind. My sympathy, because I had some who are the bestest of friends."
Clementine seemed angered by Sera's drunk state and decided to cast a water spell above Sera's head.
"Ah, what was that for, you little... wait, you can use magic. That means... nah, a lot of people know how to use basic magic now."
"Wait, are you Miss Seraphine Vaelnor? I've been looking for you. An older lady told me you usually hang around here."
"Oh, that's a name I haven't heard for a long time. Uhh, Flamentine, right?"
Clementine let out a frustrated sigh. "It's Clementine. And besides, I have something important to tell you."
"Important." Sera let out a loud laugh.
"There hasn't been anything important since I killed that, that uhh, I forgot, was it a demon, my close friend, or an evil cow. Ah, I can't remember, because it's probably not important anyway."
"Yeah, it's important, as it could be in Aetheria (this world's name)."
"Oh yeah, like what, they ran out of grain so there's no way to make alcohol? Or ooh, more trivial things, like, like, uhh, a broken bridge, or there's too many cheeses in the market so it's essentially a loss for the farmer."
"Uhh no, it's, well, I'm from your home, and uhh." Clementine stopped. She couldn't finish her words.
Sera, who was now sober, patted her hair and materialized an apron to wipe Clementine's tears. "It's ok, my dear, everything will probably be ok."
"Ok, I have to be brave, like how she taught me. I'm from your coven, Miss Seraphine, and I have to bring you the news. It's no longer there. Every coven has been wiped out by a mysterious army."
