Chapter 3:
Minotaur mission
At a command center, a group of military officials all sat around a table staring at a screen showing live footage of Miny.
"So we've got a minotaur who can tank warheads. At this point, I bet he could survive a nuke, so needless to say, someone better think of how to handle him fast, or our country's screwed," a general fumed.
"Why not try luring him out of the country, like, put him on a boat or something?" a soldier shrugged.
"Then he'd have a boat."
"What if we sink the boat? I don't think he can swim."
...
"So uh, yeah, command wants you to lead him to a boat. Then once he's far enough out, sink him," Deda's voice crackled through the intercom.
"And where is the boat?" Gorana growled as she dodged incoming shrapnel hurled by Miny.
"I mean, how many boats are there?"
"Oh, let's see, sailboat, paddleboat, motorboat, speedboat, yacht, cruise ship, war ship, jee, wonder why I'm confused!?"
"Come on, use that smooth noggin of yours. Why would we give that bovine a war ship?"
"We gave him a tank already."
"Correction, he was given nothing. He kind of just stole everything. We don't want him getting anything more."
"Then I'm guessing we need a speedboat or motorboat. A sailboat and paddleboat wouldn't work, as he can't just drive away in them. Thus, I'd humbly request you provide a boat we can trap him on."
"Like a booby trapped boat? Hee, hee. I can have one built for you."
"How big would it be?"
"Eh, about standard speedboat size."
"How long will it take?"
Bzzt!
Gorana clicked her tongue. "Useless whore. If I had my damn powers, I could turn that freak to stone, but that won't be a thing now. And with the professor just cutting the line, I'm on my own until she decides she's done."
"Ah, I actually could send some backup to try and help," Deda's voice crackled.
"Oh, you think!? Send it!"
"You sure?"
"What does that mean?"
"Whelp, you said, "Sure", so she's coming over whether you like it or not."
"'She'?"
Bzzt!
Deda had gone silent once again.
"Why would I say no to backup?" Gorana growled as she dove to the side to avoid a chunk of asphalt Miny hurled at her. "They better not complain about potholes after this."
Suddenly, Gorana tensed up as a certain sound entered her ear. Turning towards the sea, she spotted the head of what appeared to be a dark-skinned woman with long dark green hair. Plugging her ears with her hands, Gorana scowled as the dark-skinned woman let out a high-pitched shriek, shattering any and all glass windows nearby.
Miny roared in pain as he too covered his ears, but what really angered him was when he stared down at one of the smartphones he had snagged and watched it break. "NO! Me grabbed new slab, but she broke it!" he thought.
"Haah! Haah! Ah, can't stand my singing," the dark-skinned woman grinned as she leaped out of the water.
Now in the air, it was clear to see the woman was actually a siren as evidenced by her fish tail. That said, she morphed her tail into legs before making her landing and strutting over to Gorana.
"Long time, smoothy."
Gorana slowly uncovered her ears as she stared down the woman. Clad in nothing but a black bikini, the woman certainly had no care in the world about how much skin she was showing.
"Are you my backup then?" Gorana growled.
"'Backup'? No clue. I just heard noise, saw, n' decided to sing."
"How was that singing?"
"Anything that comes out of my mouth is music."
"Even now?"
The dark-skinned woman smiled seductively as she leaned in close and stroked Gorana's head. "Yeah, sweetheart. You know my voice melts men n' women alike, but I prefer women. Smoother skin just feels so much nicer against my own."
"Piss off, Camilla," Gorana glared as she shoved her hand over the dark-skinned woman's mouth.
"Hey, hey, your hand's nice to kiss too," Camilla smirked.
"I hear there's a country that eats raw fish. I'm gonna send you there if you keep pissing me off.
"ROAAAAAAARRRRRRRR!"
The two women cocked their heads back as they noticed Miny looking more enraged than ever.
"So is the mission to stop that bad bull?" Camilla snickered.
"No shit."
"Sorry, I don't always get all the details since I'm underwater n' all."
"I hate you."
"I love you."
"You say that to all women, perv."
"Because I love all women."
"Really?"
"Yes."
"Name all the women in the world."
"Haven't met them, nor could I remember a billion names."
"Then you don't know if you'd love every woman in the world since you've never met-"
"Yeah, don't want to hear that Socrates implant you got talk about philosophy. Right now, I'm hungering for a beef gyro."
"I've lost my appetite for beef."
"Sucks for you."
As the girls assumed combative stances, laser blasts suddenly appeared out of nowhere, blasting the ground in between the girls and Miny.
Dread spread on Gorana's face as she looked up and saw a helicopter approaching. A rope ladder was dangling from it, and on it, a woman clad almost identically to Gorana, save for her preference for boots instead of platform sneakers. Also unlike Gorana was the fact that she had hair, or at the least, cybernetic hair fashioned to look like snakes.
"Oh, I missed, or is your head so smooth my lasers bounced off," the woman snickered as she leaped down to the ground.
Gorana clicked her tongue as the woman smugly strutted towards her. "So this was the backup... Fuck that whore."
This woman was Meda, a fellow gorgan who had also been experimented on by Deda. However, unlike Gorana, she had been given cybernetic eyes and hair, granting her the power to blast out lasers in exchange for her ability to turn people to stone. That said, mirrors could still be a bother for her as they could reflect her laser beams back at her.
"I heard we need to play with the cow while Deda builds a boat. So, care to smother yourself in mud and run around it to grab its attention?" Meda sneered as she smacked her hand down hard on Gorana's head. "What a marvel modern science is. It can make a gorgon like you a smooth hairless laughing stock."
"You're bald under all those wire too," Gorana clapped back.
"Mean. The minds of my snakes are in these metallic bodies, so it's like they evolved," Meda mockingly pouted as she took off her sunglasses.
At a glance, her eyes looked completely normal, but as soon as she decided to fire her lasers, they'd glow red before unleashing a powerful blast. Meda herself was mad with the power, though naturally, Deda did have safeguards to prevent her from rampaging, such as locking the power and putting it on a charge. She also took great pride in mocking Gorana for her hairless state, as while she too was indeed hairless, cybernetics had restored her looks somewhat.
"Any word on when the boat will be done?" Gorana asked.
"Nope, I was just told to get here and go wild," Meda smirked.
"Lovely. Just lovely."
"Why thanks, I am quite lovely."
"It's sarcasm."
"I don't know what that means so I'm defaulting to it meaning it's a compliment about my beauty."
"Just shut up and start blasting that minotaur."
Meda giggled and readied all her cybernetic snakes. A second later, the mouths of the snakes along with Meda's eyes glowed red before laser beams blasted out of them towards Miny.
Miny roared as the lasers appeared to actually do damage to him.
"HAHAHA! SIZZLE! SIZZLE! MY BEAMS MAKE YOU SIZZLE!" Meda cackled like a loon.
"Oo, slow cook him. Nice, nice. How much longer?" Camilla asked as she licked her lips.
Zzzorp!
Everyone stared in shock as Meda's lasers suddenly stopped.
"Uh... I um... ran out of power," Meda nervously chuckled.
"I THOUGHT YOU CAME HERE ON A FULL CHARGE!" Gorana roared.
"Sorry, forgot to charge back up after the last mission."
"You... YOU SHIT FOR BRAINS!"
But before Gorana could throttle Meda herself, Deda phoned in. "The boat is done. Now you just need to lure El Torro to the pier, then once he's on the boat, we blast him off to ole Davey Jones."
