After listening to Cisco Ramon's explanation, Damon patted him on the shoulder, satisfied.
"You really are a genius. I found the right person. Thank you."
"It is not bad. The main problem was the time limit. If I had more time, I could have made it better."
After finishing the explanation, Cisco heard Damon's praise and thanks, and somehow felt regretful. He was already thinking of additional functions he could have added.
"By the way, where did you put the tracker?"
Damon asked as if the thought had just occurred to him.
"On the metal band."
Cisco answered directly.
The moment the words left his mouth, regret hit his face.
He had actually blurted it out.
Seeing Harrison Wells' speechless expression, Cisco looked at Damon tentatively.
"Can you pretend you did not hear that?"
"I'm afraid not."
Damon shook his head, removed the black metal band, and handed it to Cisco.
Cisco covered his face as he took it.
"Everyone, goodbye."
Damon waved and turned to leave.
Watching him stroll away as if nothing had happened, Cisco could not help asking, "That's it? Should we call the police?"
"By the time the police arrive, he will already be gone. Where would they look?"
Harrison Wells shook his head.
"As long as Caitlin is all right. Come back inside first."
Back in the lab, Harrison Wells asked Caitlin Snow about Damon and confirmed she was not injured. After saying a few comforting words, he left.
By then, Damon was standing in front of the hotel where he had agreed to meet Helena.
He waited for a few minutes before the sound of an engine approached from a distance. Helena parked and walked over.
"You really waited here for me."
"Why wouldn't I?"
Damon smiled brightly.
"Come on."
Helena took Damon's arm and led him into the hotel.
They paid and got a room card.
The moment they entered the elevator, Helena hooked her arms around Damon's neck and kissed him.
The kiss was scorching.
They stumbled out of the elevator, found the room, and opened the door. Damon shut it behind them, and Helena pulled back slightly, breathless.
"Are you sure? If my father finds out, you are dead."
"Strip," Damon said simply.
Helena smiled, reached behind herself, and pulled down the zipper of her dress. The dress fell away in an instant, and she moved into Damon's arms again.
There was no squeaking bed. This was an upscale hotel.
But even if there had been, it probably would not have covered Helena's voice.
She was wild.
Her cries were almost desperate, as if she wanted everyone to know exactly what she was doing. Pain and cruelty tangled together, and Helena seemed immersed in some twisted psychological pleasure of her own.
A long while later, after recovering, Helena laughed softly.
"That was amazing. I'm starting to feel reluctant to let anything happen to you. So please, please do not let my father kill you."
"Whatever you care about will torture you. Expectation is the root of all suffering. I am happy to help you treat pain with pain."
Damon smiled brilliantly.
Helena's smile stiffened, as if his words had struck something.
After a long silence, she shook her head.
"First, you have to stay alive."
With that, she limped toward the bathroom.
Helena had thought two hours would be more than enough, but by the time they left the hotel and headed back to Starling City, far more than two hours had passed.
When they arrived, the sky was already dark.
Helena pulled the car to the side and turned to Damon.
"Give me your number."
"If I want to find you, I will."
Damon shook his head.
"Why do you get to decide that?"
Helena sounded annoyed.
Damon only smiled, waved, and got out of the car.
"I will find you!" Helena called after him.
Damon had already vanished into the night.
Helena huffed and drove home.
The moment she arrived, she saw her father sitting in the living room with a dark expression.
Helena greeted him without expression and started upstairs.
"Stop."
"Are you not going to explain where you went?"
"I did not go out to murder anyone or burn anything down."
"You..."
Frank Bertinelli walked up to Helena and raised his hand.
Smack.
The sound was crisp.
Frank glared at his daughter, furious.
"Remember this. You are my daughter. No matter what I do, you are my daughter. That will not change. You had better understand that soon."
Helena held her cheek, stared coldly at her father, and turned upstairs.
"Find out where she went and who she was with," Frank shouted at the butler. "I want everything."
"Yes, sir."
The butler lowered his head.
Frank wanted to know who his daughter had been with and what she had done.
Felicity Smoak wanted to know the same thing about Damon.
When Felicity got home from work and found Damon absent, she began to worry. As soon as Damon returned, she caught a perfume scent on him that did not belong to her.
"Who is she?"
Felicity pushed up her glasses and asked Damon with deadly seriousness.
