Chapter 72:

Mashu the Android Cat and Ama Enbo (Part 10)

Welcome to the Republic of Meows!

Debiru and Mayutan stared at Tanimaki in astonishment.

“Up till now, I’ve gotten through everything with nothing but guts and determination, meow. But that won’t be enough to beat Undo. I want to use Mashu’s scientific training methods and become truly strong, meow!”

It seemed Ama Enbo wasn’t the only one who had grown from this experience.

“Undo... I have records of him in my database as well. The information is incomplete, but he is an extremely powerful evil sorcerer. He once tried to take control of the Republic of Meows and was supposedly sealed away by the current queen, Luminous.”

Apparently, even Mashu didn’t know that Undo’s seal had recently been broken.

“The truth is, we’re traveling to defeat Undo,” Mayutan added calmly. “Unfortunately, he’s already been revived.”

“...I understand. In that case, I’ll take responsibility for Tanimaki’s training.”

Mashu’s expression turned serious.

“But if Undo has already returned, it doesn’t sound like we have time to stay here and train at our leisure. I’ll travel with you until Tanimaki’s training is complete.”

Mashu made a bold proposal.

“But... what about Ama Enbo?” Mayutan asked anxiously.

“He’ll be fine. I’ve already taught him everything he needs to know to take care of himself.”

With that, Mashu gently stroked Ama Enbo’s head.

“I’ll be okay! I can go to preschool all by myself!”

Ama Enbo puffed out his chest proudly.

The village had always been peaceful, and the way Ama Enbo was now, he would surely be able to manage on his own.

And so Mashu left Ama Enbo at home and set off on a journey with Tanimaki and the others.

Mashu’s rigorous training began.

Tanimaki lacked raw power, so they needed to find ways to compensate for it.

For his signature move, the Tanimakick, the plan was to make maximum use of his natural agility and flexibility.

By taking a long running start, leaping high into the air, and concentrating all of his force into a single point, he could dramatically increase the destructive power of the attack.

At the beginning of this journey, Tanimaki’s goal had simply been to obtain the Nyaon Jar and become human again.

But now, he had begun to want something more.

For children like Ama Enbo, with their whole lives ahead of them, he wanted to protect the Republic of Meows.
