Tanimaki Learns Massage (Part 1)

Tanimaki and his companions arrived in a town called Spa Cat Town.

Stylish, sophisticated cats strolled through the streets. The display windows of clothing stores were lined with outfits straight out of the latest trends.

Posters pasted on the walls read, “Fashion Show This Weekend!”

It was as if the entire town had stepped right out of a fashion magazine.

“My eyebrows are getting pretty long...”

Mayutan frowned as he examined them.

But to Tanimaki and Debiru, Mayutan’s eyebrows looked exactly the same length they always had.

“We got a pretty big reward from Mon’s haunted house, so why don’t we all go get groomed?”

Mayutan suggested.

“What’s grooming, meow?”

Tanimaki had never owned a pet back when he was human, so the word was completely unfamiliar to him.

“It means having your fur tidied up. And if you go to a grooming salon, they usually have plenty of other relaxing services too.”

Debiru kindly explained.

“That sounds fun, meow! Let’s go, meow!”

As soon as Tanimaki said it, even he found himself surprised.

Back when he was human, he had never been interested in trying anything new.

“I want to go too!”

Mashu’s eyes lit up.

“I’d like to try it too. Until now, I’ve always left everything to the royal family’s personal groomer.”

Debiru seemed interested as well.
