Brother

"I haven't spent much time in this city... so I should at least know some of the things that happen around here..." She then floats up high, before transitioning into full on flight as she flies high in the night sky, enough that no one with the naked eye could spot her.

As she looks down at the city scape, looking for any suspicious activity or criminal encounters in the alleyways, she manages to find a few muggings, she descends to the rooftops to look closer at the action.

Chell the realizes that the mugger isn't some criminal, but a howling moon member interrogating someone who is wounded.

He has his gun pushed up to the man's head, he yells "You were way too close to our provider here, but you won't need to worry about losing your life here... we have use for scum like you, back at our operating table..." these words fill Chell with a familiar resentment, she uses her full strength to throw a knife right at the members hand, cutting a specific tendon that controls the index finger, preventing him from taking a shot. Chell then drops down and throws another knife at his other hand.

She then exclaims "you know, I really hate your type, death isn't enough of a punishment, so you decide to make their pain last long as you turn a person into something they don't want to be..." the member then begins to yell at the top of his lungs, his voice becoming higher pitched than his tough guy drone that he was using against his victim "BISCUTS! BISCUTS! AGH! BISCUTS!'

Chell then seems to smirk "what are you trying to do? offer me food for your life? I don't eat solid food..." suddenly the members partner comes up with a camera and a gun, Chell immediately notices the camera and throws a knife at the camera, breaking it in half from its aperture, the partner then unloads his entire clip into Chell. the wounded member then kicks the head of the wounded man, thinking that Chell is dead. "Who was that bitch? do you know her? huh?"

The wounded man then covers his face, before his eyes widen. "By bitch did you refer to me?" the howling moon member then turns around, seeing his partner on the ground, with a knife in his neck. he then exclaims "What the hell are you??" Chell then trips him onto his back, before slamming her fingers into his chest, draining his blood until he is a shriveled corpse, she then goes over and drains the blood of the partner before checking on the wounded man. "Hey, I know if you could stand you would have run away, but I'm afraid I went through all that trouble just for their blood, I mean... you aren't attractive, not with those bruises..." the man then seems more confused than frightened. he asks "what...? uhh... t... thank you??"

Chell then sighs "well you're welcome, anyways you can thank me by telling me of a good place to hide these bodies... can't get me and my friend in trouble..."

the man then just says "remove their tracking devices and break them, they... they don't do well at finding bodies without that..." Chell then sighs "well that helps, but I still need somewhere to hide these bodies... oh well... thanks..." She removes their devices and smashes them before taking the bodies with her and dumping them into the river, she quickly returns to Raine's building before the sun rises and goes to sleep on Raine’s bed.

The next morning, Raine wakes up to a hangover feeling awful. “I better make sure to check the bottle next time before I pay for it.” She says shielding her eyes from the sunlight. After falling back asleep again for a while, she gets up and picks up her hat and notebook off the floor.

Chell made sure to put the warning note on her statue, just in case Raine was still hammered

She walks over to her room noticing Chell on her bed. “Wonderful, well I guess I deserved it. “She says. Going back into the main room. Raine shuts the window to the far right and makes breakfast.

Sitting down at the couch, with her breakfast. Raine has no recollection of anything that happened after the fight at the bar. “I’m scared to ask Chell, what I did last night.” She says as a knock came over the front door. She gets up and stands in front of door, resting her head on her arm. “Client Code?” She says. “Raine, it's me. Open the door.”

“Lewis? I told you over phone contact only.”

“I know but something major is happening so, I had to come in person.” - After letting out an audible sigh, Raine unlatches the door and opens it. A slightly younger brown hair man wearing a coat walks in next to her. He laughs and hugs Raine. “Ok, ok stop before you squeeze me to death.” She says getting out of his grasp. Moving off, she returns to the living room. Lewis follows her, noticing Chell on her bed. “Who’s that or what’s that?” He says. “My new roommate/assistant, she helped me at the depot so I couldn’t leave her there.”

“Is she stone?

”Yeah, she’s a vampire and they do that during the daytime to protect themselves, don’t touch her though, she warned me multiple times not to do it.” He moves away from the doorway sitting down on couch besides Raine. “Howling Moon is going to announce Callous Beauty at a convention this weekend. They have a prototype ready for the event. “Yeah, but only the city big dogs are allowed to attended Trixtus conventions.”

“That’s the thing” he passes over an ID, I got one made and have a second blank one on me.”

“Make one for Chell and bring it tomorrow for me.”

“You’re getting attached to this girl even though you met two days ago.”

“Lewis, because of my outbursts and anger issues, I never had any friends during my school life. She’s the first person who didn’t want me kill someone for them instead she defended me at the depot. Also, last night she took care of me when I was drunk. I’m going out for a bit”

“Don’t get too attached, all people leave eventually. Wait what do you mean drunk, are you drinking again?” He asks turning around the front door slamming. 

At this point Chell wakes up, her stone form turns back into flesh as she rises up and, after a few stretches, she goes to the living room and see's the strangers before her, she takes a quick glance at the door to see if it was busted into before calming down. "Do you people know Raine?"

“Who are you?”

“I’m her brother, she sorts of dislikes me, but I always wanted the best for her. She’s grown to be alone; I was surprised that she found a friend. Same question to you.” Lewis looking proud of his sister.”

"I'm Chell, I just woke up... where is Raine now?"

He looks down at his wristwatch and notices the time, “She should be getting back now, her cases or jobs only take the day.” Are you the new person Raine’s sounds so excited about on the phone?”

"Well, I am quite new to her, I did save her back at that depot, also I still would like to hear your name, given that I told you, my name." She then takes the moment to adjust her hair.

The door opens as Raine walks in carrying the mail and a file, “This was his right?” She says waving the thing. “Wait why are you still here, brother?” Raine looks over at Chell in this moment.

Chell waves to Raine. "Welcome back Raine! don't worry, me and Lewis got along already!"

“What exactly do you mean, got along? Don’t tell me like what you were doing at that bar, cause if that was true, I heard the front lawn is a nice place for statues, and brother, I can’t kill you because we’re family, but maybe a bullet to the arm is enough.” She says getting pissed

"wha... no I wouldn't! I just meant we acknowledged each other's existence, that's all"

Lewis gets up and grabs his coat “I think I should be leaving. “Raine immediately throws the file at his head.

"Hmm? what are the file for?" she looks at the file, her nose twitches as she notices the file has blood on it.

Lewis makes a run for it, making Raine pull out her pistol to run after him, leaving Chell alone

Chell's eyes widen for a moment. "Glad I don't have to deal with family..."

Raine returns after few minutes, placing the gun on the counter. She looks over at the half empty vodka bottle, “Chell are you only child or vampire kin whatever you’re called back home?”

"Well... it's complicated, my adopted parents are all dead, and I don't know where my biological sister is..."

“Geez and I thought my family situation was rough,” She says deciding not to have a repeat of last night. “I’m going to bed early. My brother is going to send a package tomorrow that we need to talk about. See you tomorrow night.”

"Oh, good night, Raine" she then pulls a book from behind her back and sits on the couch as she reads the night away.

After disappearing into the room, Raine screams into her pillow. “I made sure to put that behind me all long ago, how did someone find the body and hang it up like I did two years ago?” she says turning off the light staying in her day clothes

At sunset, the next day a brown bag comes through the mail slot, gaining Raine’s attention. Knowing Chell will be up in a few minutes, she grabs the package, placing it on the table. She crosses her legs waiting for Chell to come to.

Chell awakens when the sun sets, she gets up and finds Raine with the package. "mm... is that another snack you ordered?" She then floats over to see that it is not food at all, she sits down near the table.

“No, do you think all I buy when I’m out is food or alcohol? It's something important involving Howling Moon.”

"Oh... Howling moon? is its new blueprints or... some list of events to happen?" She does a few stretches in her chair.

“No, well actually sort of, It's an ID badge for an event in which they show off the Project Callous Beauty Prototype.”

"Hmm... oh the Project callous beauty, yeah we should have a look on that..." She reaches under her hair to rub her concealed eye.

“My brother managed to get us both ID badges but here’s the thing, he doesn’t know how to make yours off- “The doorbell rings. “Chell, can you see who that is. I don’t have a client scheduled to visit for the next few days.”

She was already looking at the door, as if she sensed their presence near the door, she floats over and yells out. "Who is this? why are you here?"

“This is the police, Captain Costello sent us for an umm Chell?
