Jay’s face was a cracked mask of maniacal glee. Draco matched that deranged energy, pupil to slit pupil. Jay launched a flying kick that should have liquidated a mountain; Draco caught the shin, his grip a hydraulic press. Jay didn't resist—he rode the momentum, slamming his forehead into Draco’s snout with a sickening TWHACK of bone on scale.
Draco’s grip slackened. Jay spun through the air, dodging a desperate retaliation hook, and sank a punch into Draco’s jaw that launched the Dragon King into the stratosphere.
「Shoryuken,」 Jay wheezed, a dark chuckle bubbling through the blood in his throat.
He didn't wait. He ignited. His right arm became a torch of pure, unadulterated violence as he pursued the dragon into the thinning air. His eyes were wide, bloodshot, and utterly insane.
「Shin Shoryuken!」
The impact didn't just land; it rewrote the physics of the sky.The sound barrier didn't just break—it shattered so violently that the shockwave rolled over the old ruins miles away like a thunderclap from God. In the Azure Capital, the air pressure spiked so high that buildings already in ruins were pulverized into dust. Even Lena and Clara, standing at two hundred meters of raw ancestral power, were forced to their knees by the sheer gravity of the strike.
「Wow...」 Lena gasped, her neck straining against the pressure. 「I didn't know Papa is this much of a monster?」Clara struggled to keep her snout off the dirt. 「Yah... you ain't kidding.」
The recoil sent Jay screaming back toward the earth. He slammed into the crater next to his weapons. The twenty-meter Mythril Bolt was gone, its entire mass cannibalized by the spear and the knobbed club. Jay gripped the club in his right hand. His left arm—the one Draco had swallowed—was now a shimmering, spectral limb of solid mana. He slotted the spear into its sheath and wound up for one last hit, eyes fixed on the red speck falling from the stars.
「Hey, big sis,」 Clara muttered, looking over at Lena. 「What’s Papa doing?」Lena looked over and blinked. 「Are you seriously eating that dragon right now?」Clara was mid-bite, tearing a chunk of flank off the dragon she’d just humbled. 「Mhmm... Papa said it’d make me stronger. Besides, I’m very hungry.」Lena’s stomach let out a predatory growl. 「Fine. Maybe I’ll have a nibble. But Papa’s waiting for the big one.」
High above, Draco beat his wings, stalling his momentum. He began to draw. The atmosphere itself seemed to bleed into his lungs. The clouds parted as if terrified, revealing a sky turned a bruised, arterial crimson. Draco was no longer a dragon; he was a falling sun.
Jay didn't move. He let his own mana pool at his feet—a swirling, oily mixture of violet and black that felt like a hole in the universe. The two auras met in mid-air, a physical clash of wills: one fighting to remain a god, the other fighting to prove that gods are just targets.
「~Draconic Magic...~」 Draco’s voice echoed through the heavens.Jay let out a chilling, steady breath. 「Lancer Technique: Tenth Form...」「~...Planetary Divider!~」「...Void.」
They moved. Two streaks of light, one crimson, one violet, breaking the sound barrier repeatedly until the air caught fire. When the supercharged fist of a King met the mythril-starved strike of a Lancer, the world went white.
The Azure Capital was flattened instantly. In the sky, a sun of fire was swallowed by a sphere of absolute nothingness. A draw. The greatest slaughter in the history of the Loscraf Kingdom ended in a stalemate.
The two combatants fell, limp and broken, only to be caught by the massive, gentle paws of Lena and Clara. The magic projections recorded it all—the end of an era.
Jay panted, his lungs whistling. 「Huff... huff... So, Draco...」「Yah...」 Draco managed a raspy laugh. 「Huff... I’ll be your familiar. Deal’s a deal.」
They lay there, bleeding, broken, and filled with a newfound, terrifying respect. They had found the only other being in the world who could kill them. In the ruins, the people screamed in celebration. The Capital was a parking lot, but they were alive. Jay, Lena, and Clara were no longer just royals; they were Dragon Slayers.
◽ In The Old Ruins ◽
Alberto stood like a statue. The son he had summoned—a doppelganger from another world—had just selflessly bled for a kingdom that wasn't even his. The weight Alberto had carried for months finally snapped.
Alia bumped him playfully, though her own hands were shaking. 「You can let it out, darling.」「No, not yet,」 Alberto chuckled, wiping a stray tear. 「You know how the boy gets when he thinks we’re worried. He’ll just try to crack a joke.」Alia wrapped his arm around her. 「Then I’ll do it for both of us.」She started to sob—not out of grief, but the sheer, bone-deep relief of a mother. 「I was so scared, Alberto. We almost lost him.」「I know,」 Alberto said, his voice thick with pride. 「But like the girls say... our son is the strongest in the kingdom.」
On the other side of the ruins, the five wives stood in a daze of shock and euphoria.
「He did it... he actually fucking did it,」 Liani whispered, her legs giving out.Iris laughed nervously. 「Yah. He did.」
⟦Iris? Lisa? Rina? Liani? Saalin? You guys hear me?⟧ Jay’s voice crackled through the projection. He was sitting up now, a pale glow of healing magic knitting him and Draco back together.Iris stepped forward. 「Yes! We hear you! Do you... do you need medical? A portal?」⟦Nah,⟧ Jay chuckled. ⟦But after me, Zakry, and the lizard here fix the capital, I need you five to run the bath. Take out the fanciest dresses you got.⟧Liani tilted her head. 「Sure, but... why the fancy dress?」⟦Woman, I’m feeling incredibly romantical right now. Don’t ruin the vibe with questions.⟧
He looked directly into the projection, that signature, arrogant smirk back on his face. The kind of look that told the world everything was under his thumb.
⟦I trust the five of you can handle that, right?⟧Rina turned a deep shade of scarlet but nodded firmly. 「Don’t worry about it. We’ll be ready.」
The wives opened a gate to their home and vanished. Meanwhile, the projections stayed live on Jay and Draco, who were both sitting up with agonizing effort.
⟦So, Jay...⟧ Draco coughed. ⟦Your harem?⟧Jay’s eyes lit up with that same maniacal hunger he’d had during the fight. ⟦Oh, absolutely. I’m going to breed them so hard they’ll forget their own names tonight. If I don't, I wouldn't be Jay Von Lancer.⟧
Draco burst out laughing, and Jay joined him, neither of them giving a single damn that the entire kingdom had just heard the Dragon Slayer's very explicit plans for the evening.
