Jay sat in the ash of the capital, laughter still rattling in his chest, but the mirth died in a heartbeat. His spine snapped straight. A violent, oily surge of mana erupted from his core, lancing into the sky like a spear of filth.
He doubled over, a guttural scream tearing from his throat. The sound of muscle fibers shredding and skin weeping under internal pressure echoed in the silence. A sentient, dark mass—viscous and pulsing with ancient malice—began to extrude from his chest, reaching out like a shadow that wanted to swallow the world.
Jay’s own soul fought back. Ethereal chains, forged from his remaining sanity and the seal’s latent power, lashed out from his skin, snagging the dark ooze and dragging it back into the meat of his body. The surge subsided, leaving him physically mended but mentally flayed.
He didn't wait for Draco to speak. He tore open a gate and collapsed onto the hardwood floor of his living room.
Jay staggered to his feet, his lungs burning. 「Lisa... LISA!」 he roared, the desperation cracking his voice. She rounded the corner from the kitchen, stopping dead. Her eyes tracked the faint, black stains receding into his skin. 「That black ooze... don’t tell me it—」Jay gave a sharp, jagged nod. 「It tried to breach. The seal held, barely, but I’m losing grip on my sanity. You told me there was something stronger. Use it.」
The rest of the harem flooded the room, their faces pale.
Iris was trembling, her hands hovering near her mouth. 「Jay? What the hell is happening?」
Jay didn't answer. His face went flush, a feverish heat radiating from him. He started to pant, his eyes glazing over with a predatory haze. The thing inside him—denied the chance to murder a Dragon King—had pivoted. If it couldn't spill blood, it would drown Jay in lust until he lost himself in the carnage of the flesh.
「Jay?」 Lisa stepped closer, confused.
In a blur of motion, Jay’s hand snapped out, catching Lisa in a chokehold. He wasn't crushing her windpipe, but his grip was iron. He was vibrating, his knuckles white as he fought the urge to simply tear through her.
「Lisa... after I drop you... I need all of you to run,」 he hissed through gritted teeth, his voice a broken rasp. 「Please. Just fucking run.」
He let her go, falling back against the wall. But they didn't run. Instead, the five of them moved as one, surrounding him, their arms wrapping around his trembling frame. They knew him. They knew this wasn't his choice.
「Why... why aren't you running?」 Jay gasped.Lisa looked him dead in the eyes, her expression terrifyingly clinical and devoted. 「You know runecraft. Use the Sealing Runes. Carve one over each of our uteri. With my holy magic, we can create a collective anchor. We’ll absorb the overflow. We’ll balance you.」Jay’s eyes widened in horror. 「You want me to use children we haven't even conceived yet as a battery?」「Yes.」 Lisa said with a chilling finality, pulling his hand to her stomach. 「You know exactly what to do to save yourself. Do it.」
A single tear tracked through the soot on Jay’s face. He felt the beast clawing at the back of his eyes. 「Okay. Fine.」
The runes were etched in glowing, violet light, burning into their skin as they smiled through the discomfort. Lisa pushed him back onto the couch, her hands steady as she stripped the tactical gear from his body.
「I’ll start,」 she said, her voice dropping into a sultry, commanding tone. 「I need to establish the link.」
She straddled him, her palms pressing against his chest as she flooded the room with blinding holy mana. The five runes on the women’s bodies began to glow with a divine radiance, forming a circuit of flesh and spirit.
Lisa looked down at him, her eyes dark. 「You can let loose now, Jay. Give it to us. All of it.」
Jay didn't need to be told again. The beast was unleashed, channeled through the only outlet left. He gave in to the carnal tide, the room disappearing into a blur of sweat, magic, and desperate, rhythmic salvation.
◽3 Hours Later◽
The air was heavy with the scent of sex and ozone. Jay lay in the middle of a tangle of limbs, his mind finally quiet, but his soul felt like lead. The strongest man in the kingdom looked small, his gaze fixed on the ceiling in a hollow stare.
Lisa shifted, cupping his face between her breasts, stroking his hair with a mother’s tenderness. 「Hey, darling.」「Yah,」 Jay muffled, his voice dejected.「I know why you hate this,」 she whispered. 「But there are millions of children to be had, Jay. There is only one of you. Don't you dare lose yourself to that thing. You understand?」Jay let out a dry, sad chuckle. 「Ight. But you guys... you're okay? I wasn't...」Lisa giggled, a predatory glint returning to her eyes. 「We’re your wives. To us, you were just being rough. Honestly? You should do it more often. It was a hell of a ride.」「You’re fucking weird, Lisa. You know that?」 Jay said, his spirits finally lifting.
Suddenly, Jay’s communicator shrieked. A holographic window of Zakry appeared in the dim light.
⟦Oh. I see you’re... busy,⟧ Zakry said, his face a mask of awkwardness.Jay sat up, the screen zooming in to crop out the nakedness around him. 「Had to create a new seal, Zak. Kind of a medical emergency. I would’ve liked a heads-up on what this 'entity' inside me was actually capable of.」⟦I’m sorry, Jay. But you’re the first host to live long enough to find out. Look, I need you at the castle. It’s urgent.⟧Jay’s tone flattened. 「I’ll be there in thirty.」 He cut the link.「What do you think happened?」 Saalin asked, pulling a sheet over herself.Jay closed his eyes, extending his mana detection across his entire estate. The void where his daughters should be hit him like a physical blow. 「The girls aren't here. This is about them.」
The air around Jay began to distort. His mana didn't just rise; it warped the light, turning the room cold. Dark scenarios played out in his head—each one ending in a pile of bodies. The rage was different this time; it was cold, focused, and paternal.
Before he could explode, Liani lunged forward, burying his face in her chest to muffle his rising roar.
「Calm down!」 she hissed, her face crimson but her voice firm. 「I know I’m not the 'leader' here, but Jay, look at yourself! Trust them! They just killed two goddamn dragons! They are safe!」Jay’s breathing slowed. The distorted air settled. 「Yah. You're right.」Liani let go, and Jay caught her in a quick, grateful kiss. 「Thanks, hun.」
◽30 Minutes Later, The Royal Castle◽
The infrastructure was already standing, rebuilt with a speed that spoke of Draco’s draconic efficiency and Zakry’s tireless magic. It was as if the apocalypse had never happened.
Jay strode into the throne room, his boots echoing on the marble. He ignored the two Royal Knights kneeling on the floor—trembling so hard their armor rattled.
「Alright, Zak. I’m here. What’s the move?」Zakry stood near the throne, his face grim. 「Jay. You remember the deal? You take the dragon materials from the battlefield if you win.」Jay sighed. 「Yeah. Is that why I’m here? Some noble tried to play pickpocket while I was bleeding out?」Zakry nodded, then pointed to Jay’s left side. 「What’s that?」「Mythril arm,」 Jay said, popping the prosthetic off to show the stump at his shoulder. 「Magic circuits for veins, were-rabbit leather for muscle, and Tyrant Wyvern bone. Way more complex than it looks, but I had spares ready.」He snapped the arm back on, the metallic fingers clicking. His voice dropped an octave. 「Where’s Ma?」「With Father. They’re with Lena and Clara.」「Stop beating around the bush, Zak.」Zakry looked at the two kneeling knights. 「When the girls were collecting the scales and blood as you asked... these two tried to snatch the haul. They thought they’d take advantage of 'two little kids.' One of them... one of them had the nerve to strike Clara across the face.」
The temperature in the room dropped thirty degrees.
Jay’s mana didn't explode; it condensed. A sapphire-blue aura clung to his skin, radiating a weight so heavy the stone floor beneath the knights began to spider-web. Jay slowly turned his head to look at them.
「Oh? Is that so?」 Jay’s voice was a whisper, cold enough to freeze the blood in their veins.「Mind you,」 Zakry added with zero mercy, 「they knew exactly whose daughters they were. They just thought you’d be too weak to do anything about it.」
Jay’s mana slammed down. The two knights weren't just pinned; they were being crushed into the floor, their breastplates groaning as the air was forced out of their lungs.
Jay took a step toward them. 「I think I’m going to enjoy this.」
