Mayutan could barely contain his excitement.

Meanwhile, Debiru had exhausted all his magical power and collapsed unconscious.

“Debiru! Wake up!” Mayutan cried.

But he didn’t respond.

“Are you okay?”

Freed from the time-stop spell, Mashu rushed over as well and called out to him.

Mayutan poured some of the Matatabi Water he had concocted into Debiru’s mouth and watched him anxiously. But Debiru showed no sign of opening his eyes.

“Meow! The cave’s gonna collapse!”

At Tanimaki’s shout, Mayutan looked up at the ceiling.

Chunks of rock were crumbling down, threatening to bury them alive at any moment.

“Leave it to me!”

Mashu’s tail whipped around like a living creature, wrapping itself around the unconscious Debiru and securing him firmly against her back.

Then Mashu scooped up Tanimaki and Mayutan with her powerful arms, holding them close against her supple body, and tore through the cave at lightning speed.

A moment later, the cave collapsed behind them with a deafening roar, sending clouds of dust billowing into the air.

“Hah... hah... We made it...”

Mayutan sank to the ground, clutching his chest as he let out a breath of relief.
