CHAPTER 1: DEATH OF ORDER

PART 8

[10:49]

Saeli had her hands still crossed. Her fingers still intertwined. Her entire body covered with clotted blood. Yet it didn't stop. Blood started overflowing once again. From every small or big Orifice, small or big pore and everything else there was in her body.

She was still praying. Drenched in a pool of blood. With her body fully covered in blood too. As a statue made of red marble. She still prayed.

"PLEASE GOD, PLEASE SAVE MY BROTHER, YOU CAN TAKE ME IN EXCHANGE BUT PLEASE SAVE MY BROTHER!!"

"YOU CAN TAKE EVERYTHING FROM ME BUT PLEASE DON'T TAKE MY EVERYTHING......"

Rather than a prayer, It was a scream directed at the gods.

"wake up big brother, please wake up....pleas....."

*THUDD.....SPLASHZZZ*

She fell to the ground and into the puddle of her own blood. As she pleaded for anyone that would listen. Until Saeli fully lost consciousness.

[10:56]

Saeli woke up after a few minutes later in the hands of the female supervisor which came inside after she couldn't no longer hear Saeli's voice. She had sent the rookie soldier to call the priests and priestesses to heal her but they didn't still make it.

"How are you feeling, saintess?" Asked the supervisor with a concerned smile.

"It's wasn't a dream right.... my brother really is dead right..." Asked Saeli sounding hollow. "I'm afraid that's the case" Replied the supervisor softly.

"Wahaa...wahhaaaa...." After crying for a few more minutes, Saeli wiped her face and stood up. "Thank you for everything, I'll take care of this now, you may leave" Saeli bowed as she dismissed the supervisor. Saeli knew they were one of the busiest individuals in THG. But that wasn't the reason she dismissed her. Strangely, she just wanted to stay alone with her brother.

"... are you sure, I don't mind staying..." Replied the supervisor but due to Saeli's persistence, she left.

"Thank you for everything big bro, don't worry, I'll take care of the rest.... you can go and rest peacefully in heaven..." Saeli spoke softly. As she wiped her face before, it was the only thing that wasn't covered in blood. Which made her reddened eyes stand out like Ruby's in a pile of dirt.

Regaining her composure, she took the corpses, which counted 8 altogether, underground for the AllCathedral. She knew her brother and the others need a proper burial and send off. So she couldn't lament and cry forever. There were things that needed to be done.

Reaching the underground entrance, she knocked on the huge two way open doors and called for the AllCathedral. But no response came. After multiple attempts, she tried to open the doors herself.

However, to her surprise, the doors opened without much force. Yet it was dark inside. It felt as entering an abandoned cave, instead of a place where the corpses of war heroes and casualties were cleansed.

However, she had to complete the task at hand. And maybe the most important task in her life too. So she took the bodies inside and whispered a prayer. A sphere of bright radiance appeared from thin air. It illuminated the whole underground area.

Now she had much more visibility. Saeli started searching for the AllCathedral because she knew at this time he stayed underground everyday. So even if she didn't hear a response, she was positive she could find him here.

However what she saw wasn't burial sites or cleansing sites. She saw dead bodies piled up in every corner and non corner alike. Some bodies were chopped into pieces while some had thier limbs separated.

*criiishhh, criishhh, criishhh*

Saeli heard a noise of flesh being ripped and sawed as further deep she went. The underground also had high ceilings as high as the AllsCathedral one. But these were naturally formed one. And some piles of dead reached even those ceilings.

After waking further, Saeli saw the AllCathedral. He was sawing bodies with a saw. Blood dripping from his hands and his cloths covered in blood.

Unable to comprehend the situation, Saeli made the only logical reason to exist in such a scenario. She turned around and ran. Leaving behind the corpses she brought with her. It pained her to think of leaving the only thing that remained of her brother, but she had no choice.

She placed the first step but she couldn't take the second. In the humid depths of the eerie underground, suddenly a voice echoed through it. Awaken by the echo, tiny insects and animals crawled out of the pile and scattered everywhere.

"I smell fresh bodies, did you brought them here? Thank you for your hard work but remember this area is off-limits. Next time wait for me, do you understand?" Not even turning to face Saeli, he instructed to leave the bodies and go.

Even with a million questions in mind, she didn't want answers to any of that right now. She just wanted to leave. Placing the second step she started to run, only to be blocked by the third step once again. What she saw in that third step, gave birth to a question worth a million.

The severed parts of the bodies started to fuse with each other. And a coral like texture started appearing. As Saeli was on the battlefield as much as a soldier or even more, it allowed her to recognize the horrifying visuals unfolding before her very own eyes.

The fusing of the body parts were extremely similar to how Guls regenerated. The sound of the regenerating of the Guls closely resembled a mashing of a wet batter which sounded exactly the same as the fusing. The things fusing together were small, yet the uncanny resemblance made Saeli vomit.

[11:00]

*DING DONG, DING DONG*

The bells of the AllsCathedral rang. It always rang around that time. Since they rang at exactly 11 a.m, most believed it was just a time indication which was carried onion since ancient times. Yet one person's behavior completely reversed with the ringing of that bell.

"Leave, leave now " Suddenly demanded the AllCathedral as he rushed towards Saeli. They both were covered in blood. But the difference was that, Saeli was covered in her own while the AllCathedral the covered in the blood of hundreds of corpses. And now, he was chasing Saeli.

Scared, Saeli tried to rush outside, yet as fate itself laughing at her, she tripped on her third step and fell down. As she looked at her leg, saw a rat near it. She and the rest had collided which had caused the fall. However it was too late to think of what happened.

The AllCathedral reached her and grabbed her from her hair. Grabbing Saeli's blood soaked hair tightly, he started to pull on them. As Saeli screamed, he pulled as hard as could. Trying to force Saeli out of the underground area.

Yet no matter go hard he pulled, he wasn't strong enough to pull an entire person. The only thing that happened was Saeli's hair being pulled out from her scalp. As Saeli tried to reach for her V-shaped hairpin, suddenly a bright light shone upon the piled dead bodies and covered them with a strange gelatin like substance.

Suddenly the AllCathedral let her hair go and went towards the light. Stepping on Saeli's head as he went. Which made the hairpin fall off. She looked for it but she couldn't find it. But she something else. Something dreadful to even shake the Angel of the Battlefield to her core.

Even without touching it, Saeli knew what it was. It was the same outer covering of a Gul just before it's coral like texture. But it made no sense. How could something like that even happen. As she was glowing from her automatic healing, senseless questions popped into her head. However, in a moment of carelessness mixed with dread, those questions slipped out of her mouth too.

"Are those....Guls...??? Are they.... made here?? Are you making them?.. Are they being made by god-"

Yet, before Saeli could finish her last question, the AllsCathedral launched at her screaming, "I- I received a Revelation...I understand.... Kill this human infront of me.. I understand... I Will kill this human.... oh almighty gods, please witness me...witness the miracle child...."

Taking a knife he used to cut up the bodies, he jumped on top of Saeli and stabbed her. The knife pierced her back as a log sinking into deep mud. As he pulled the knife back, blood from the wound sprayed into the AllCathedral's face.

As he wiped the blood from his eyes,

Saeli struggled and shook off the AllsCathedral from her and started limping towards the exit.

However, as she dragged herself, she could hear the AllCathedral reciting a prayer. A prayer she didn't know. Something she didn't understand. Just when she was passing the trolleys with the new bodies, she saw her brothers hand moving. She lost herself.

Deprived of all her reason, she grabbed his right hand and it grabbed back her hand too. However it wasn't the gentle hand her brother had. She tried pulling away but it was too hard. As she pulled forcefully the right hand of Magalt's corpse ended up tearing off which she took with herself.

She passed the doors and ran as fast as she could but due to the injury it wasn't much. Before she even got a few meters away, a compressed and fused cluster of corpses came breaking through the door and rolling towards her.

It had hands and legs sticking out in every direction and the center of the cluster compromised of faces and bodily features all in the wrong places. Teeth was everywhere, eyes bleeding and mushed due to being rolled over and over them.

However it didn't have the outer layer of a Gul. Which made sense since this Half Gul like thing was created by the AllCathedral. It didn't scream, nor talked. But it produced a variety of low dreadful noises. Echoing throughout the whole underground passage.

As Saeli ran, with a broken leg and a stabbed back, she tripped again. This time it wa a piece of debris thrown off by the half Gul. As Saeli fell and tried to crawl away, it got closer and closer. Threatening to roll over her squashing her to death.

That's when she realized something very important. She wasn't practically good at anything. She didn't know martial arts or didn't know to use weapons. All she could do was to pray for others and endure the pain. There was nothing else. So Saeli did the only thing she could. She prayed.

However for the first time in her life, she didn't pray for others happiness, nor did she prayed for others injuries. She prayed for herself, her happiness.

She prayed to be able to attend her nephews birthday tomorrow, she prayed to be able to watch him grow, she prayed to be able to see more of Renu's otherworldly inventions, she prayed to see Adeu's Kingdom prosper. And she prayed to see Zuuri Vezyne walk freely with her friends without the burden of being a hero.

But most importantly, she prayed to be by their side as those prayers gets answered. So she prayed. As the half gul got to her and grabbed her by a leg, a small golden sphere shot out of her hand and floated to the Half Gul. It landed on it without a sound or any dramatic effects.

But the Half Gul was a second faster. It was already on Saeli, yet the Half Gul didn't move further, when Saeli looked up, she heard a crackling voice. As a broken recorder trying it's best.

"Sa-...Sa-...Sae....Saeli"

She heard her brother's voice. What little will Magalt's dead body had, it had stopped crushing Saeli to death.

In the next second, with a sizzling sound the half Gul started to melt from the inside. The mass of bones and flesh dissolved and started dripping to the ground like rotten garbage. The stench was unbearable, but in a few seconds nothing was left.

However the recoil for Saeli was nothing like before. Her ears immediately exploded splashing blood into the walls and herself. One of her eyes falled off creating a small puddle of blood loss. Her skin started to tear like paper which in turn started to leak blood.

Yet she didn't stop. Saeli crawled on the steps until reaching the AllsCathedral floor. With Magalt's arm grabbed tightly near her chest, She crawled further and further until she could see the front doors.

*TIN...TIN...TIN...TIN*

Yet, before she could reach the door, she heard footsteps from being. As her looked back it was the AllCathedral climbing the stairs. But there wasn't any metallic sound before. As the AllCathedral reached the last step, he tripped too. And something shot out of his shoes.

Gliding through the red stained floor of the AllsCathedral, it stopped near Saeli. A small V-shaped white hairpin layed just a few centimeters away from Saeli's hand. She extended her arm and grabbed it. Holding it tightly, she thought to herself, 'Ah...my prayer has been answered...'

However, something else was there. As she touched the door she felt a presence behind her. Not anything she felt before. Like an otherworldly thing. Her remaining senses all became dull. She couldn't breath, couldn't talk, couldn't even think.

The mere presence of it was incomprehensible. As if being transported to thousands of meters underwater in an instance. Or being left in space without any protective gear. Unimaginable and unfathomable. Unreal and unknown.

As Saeli touched the door, it raised what seemed to be it's leg....

*CRACKKKK*

[11:04]

Border control, Kadushaya

While Vezyne was catching the outlaws, she received a notification on her mask. The location of Saeli. Vezyne froze for a second. A cold sweat running down her pale face.

She launched herself into the sky and, took off in Saeli's direction. Towards the AllsCathedral. Those who were around Vezyne stared in bewilderment as the hero suddenly left without a word.

[11:06]

AllsCathedral

Samudraas City, Tefortis Country.

Saeli couldn't see. She couldn't sense nor feel. Everything was black. Everything was wrong. She felt as her consciousness fading. As a camera lens losing its grip on focus. And slowly fading into complete darkness. But not yet.

She couldn't let the last of her consciousness fade in such a trivial manner. It didn't do the name of Angel of the Battlefield justice..And most importantly, it didn't do justice for those who gently called her "Sae". So she couldn't let it go just now.

She was layed on the ground. With her back facing the enormous ceiling. Magalt's hand wasn't in her embrace any more. Only the white V-shaped hairpin was grabbed on her hand.

Focusing all her remaining consciousness to the free hand, she gave it a new life. As little as it was. The hand dragged itself across the floor and got into a writing position. Using the blood gushing out of the finger, the hand dragged itself across the floor. Raising a little to create spaces and crashing back to countinue.

*BANGGG*

As the last of her Saeli's consciousness faded, Vezyne landed on the other side of the door. Neither knew but the last thing Saeli's consciousness experienced was vibrations caused by Vezyne.

*BAMMM*

Vezyne slam opened both the frontal doors of the AllsCathedral. As soon as Vezyne opened her mouth to call for Saeli, she saw her. On the floor. Near the entrance. Lying in a pool of blood was undoubtedly Saeli.

Her head was smashed into nothingness. Brain and skull pieces sprayed on the doors and floor alike. Her face, flattened out and bloodied. The remaining of her bright yellow hair dyed a deep red scattered without the skull to hold them.

One hand was tightly gripping the V-shaped hairpin that she received from Vezyne herself. A little further, a severed hand which was burned to a crisp. The structure, the form and the shape. All resembled Magalt's. But above all, the wedding ring. The one which they all went shopping for. Still in the ring finger.

Vezyne murmured, as if her brain has stopped working.

"sae.....mag....."

And where Saeli's other hand was, there was something.

[god ar- enem;e~ ]

In a deep red color was the mix of letters almost unrecognizable.

Vezyne didn't notice them. But as they were in her field of view, Vezyne's subconsciousness automatically figured out the message written in blood.
