Chapter 2 Ash House

Esterworth...a vast world...filled with countless beautiful kingdoms...cities...forests...and places...but of course...there are also dragons...orcs...and monsters here as well...In this world...there are the Magi...who are also called Alchemists...or Arcanes!...However...here they are simply called Arcanes...And then there are the Ten Witches...who brought chaos for a very long time...Yet one of them...is considered the worst of them all...also known as the Witch of Wrath...Echidna...According to the stories...she has black and white hair...She is said to be so incredibly powerful that she once destroyed an entire kingdom within a single hour...She also...sealed away...the other witches...For four hundred years...people have tried to kill her!...But it is impossible because she is immortal...Even if someone kills her...she simply comes back to life...However...for many years now...she has withdrawn from the world...No one knows what happened to her...In Esterworth...people believe she is still alive...but has disappeared from civilization...Anyway...there is a famous university in the Kingdom of Rossetta!...The university is called Ash House...and it is where people study to become Magi...It is also where the young Arcane, Daisy Carlotta Martinez, wishes to study.

Daisy: "Woow."

Lilly: "Hmmm...hey...hey.."

Daisy: "Huh?...Yeah."

Lilly: "Food."

Daisy: "Oh...hehehe...of course."

She bought two sandwiches, one for herself and one for Lilly.

Daisy: "Here."

Lilly: "Thank you."

They began eating.

Lilly: "Mm...delicious."

Daisy: "Mmm...yeah...it's so good...but when do we have to be there?"

Lilly: "In twenty minutes. We're early."

Daisy: "Great. Then can we look around for a bit?"

Lilly: "Okay."

They began walking around. This time Daisy bought herself and Lilly a large plate of rice, mushrooms, noodles, and sauce.

Daisy: "Woow...shall we eat?"

They started eating. It tasted wonderful and was not expensive at all. It only cost forty Anastasia. That is what the currency here is called.

Daisy: "Mmm...so delicious..."

Lilly: "Mm...."

After eating, they slowly made their way toward the university.

Daisy: "Wooow."

Lilly: "It's huge."

They crossed the bridge where many other students were also walking.

Lilly: "Well then...Daisy...take care."

Daisy: "Take care. I hope we'll see each other again."

Lilly: "Hmm."

She walked away.

Daisy: "Woow."

The school consisted of five buildings...two towers...one massive university building...Then there was the boys' dormitory where the boys stayed...and the girls' dormitory where the girls lived.

Daisy: "Hmmm."

There seemed to be an assembly where everyone had to register.

Teacher: "Welcome to our school, dear students. Here you will learn Magi. Daisy picked up her belongings and walked toward Board One.

Daisy: "Oh...so this is it....Hmm...Oh...Lilly is here too."

Mrs. Ashley looked surprisingly young...not even in her early thirties...She had long brown hair and wore a hat.

Boy: "Otto Hänselheim."

Lilly: "Lilly Waldläuferin."

Daisy: "Daisy...Carlotta Martinez!"

Boy: "Eddi Hendriks."

Girl: "...Um...Dorothy Gonzalez."

Boy: "Dante Anderson."

Boy: "Leon Garcia."

Girl: "Maya Klarin."

Boy: "Hänsel Schmidt."

Girl: "Gretel Schmidt."

Mrs. Ashley: "Ah...siblings."

Hänsel: "Yes."

Gretel: "Yes..."

Mrs. Ashley: "I see."

After everyone in the class had introduced themselves, it was finally time for the school tour.

Mrs. Ashley: "Well then...eleven students. That makes me very happy...Now I'll show you around the school. Please follow me."

They followed her. Mrs. Ashley seemed very excited.

The dormitory building had eighteen rooms in total. Three students slept in each room. It was now time to assign the rooms.

Mrs. Ashley: "Let's see...Oh...Daisy...Gretel...and Lilly...you three will share Room Ten."

Daisy: "Oh...Lilly."

Lilly: "Yeah...yeah."

Gretel: "U...um...it's very nice to meet you."

Daisy had short black hair, looked incredibly cute, and had green eyes.

Mrs. Ashley: "All right."

After everyone else had received their room assignments, it was finally time to hand out the keys.

Lilly: "Woow...I'd better keep the key. Daisy would definitely lose it."

Lilly took the key, and the three of them entered their room.

There was a fireplace...three beds...a small kitchen...a bathroom...a toilet...and even a balcony. The room was decorated with light shades of brown, while the floor had been painted black. They were all tired and decided to go to sleep.

Daisy: "Gretel, how old are you?"

Gretel: "Fourteen."

Daisy: "Oh...you're the youngest."

Lilly: "Then I'm the oldest."

Daisy: "And I'm the one in the middle. Hehe..."

Lilly: "All right then...let's get some sleep."

Daisy: "Okay."

Gretel: "Okay."

They lay down on their beds. Daisy was incredibly happy...Lilly quickly fell asleep peacefully...while Gretel remained nervous.
