Tanimaki Becomes a Pop Idol (Part 1)

Tanimaki and his companions arrived in a town called Minyatoku Jossy.

It was a glamorous town famous for producing countless celebricats—the equivalent of celebrities in the human world.

Perhaps because of that, the streets were filled with all kinds of dazzling, distinctive cats strutting about.

“Meow-meow, meow-meow~♪”

For no particular reason, Tanimaki was in high spirits, happily singing to himself as he walked along.

Then—

“Excuse me. Allow me to introduce myself.”

A serious-looking cat in an immaculate suit stopped Tanimaki and handed him a business card.

Printed on the card were the words Nekopla Music.

“Whoa! That’s the talent agency Meowzaka46 belongs to!”

Debiru blurted out the moment he saw the card in Tanimaki’s paw.

“That’s correct. Would you happen to be interested in a career in entertainment?”

The cat looked Tanimaki straight in the eye with an earnest expression and addressed him in a polite, courteous tone.

“Meow?! Y-you’re saying I could be the center* of Meowzaka46, meow?” Tanimaki exclaimed.

Nobody had said anything of the sort.

*The “center” is the member of a pop idol group who takes the front-and-center position during performances.
