“I can’t promise anything that far ahead, but you have a natural charisma that draws others to you. I’ve been scouting talent for many years, and I’ve never met anyone with an aura as powerful as yours.”

There was so much sincerity in the cat’s voice that it didn’t sound like flattery at all.

“Very well, meow! I shall become a cat idol! Take me to your agency at once, meow!”

The praise had gone straight to Tanimaki’s head, and now he was completely sold on the idea.

“Hold on! What about defeating Undo?!”

Debiru quickly tried to stop him.

“Debiru’s right, Tanimaki! We don’t have time for show business!”

Mayutan joined in, trying to talk some sense into him.

“No, meow! I’m gonna be a pop idol, meow!”

Being recognized by a talent scout must have made Tanimaki incredibly happy. He refused to listen to either of them.

“What are we going to do, Mayutan...?” Debiru asked. “Once Tanimaki makes up his mind, he never listens.”

“...I suppose we have no choice. We’re all pretty tired from this long journey anyway. Taking a little break might do us some good.”

Mayutan figured that, knowing Tanimaki, he would probably get bored with the whole thing soon enough.
