Tanimaki Becomes a Pop Idol (Part 5)

“The center...!?”

Every cat in the room turned at once to stare at Tanimaki.

Tanimaki simply stood there with his mouth hanging open, staring blankly at Yasushi Nyakimoto.

After a few moments, he finally snapped back to his senses.

“M-Meow! Leave it to me, meow!”

Overcome with joy, Tanimaki leaped so high that he nearly reached the ceiling—

BONK!

—and smacked his head against it.

“Tanimaki only just walked into this agency, and now he’s the center...?”

Mayutan narrowed his eyes suspiciously.

“Yeah... this whole thing feels really fishy.”

Debiru couldn’t bring himself to celebrate either. Everything was going far too perfectly.

“Well then, everyone. Do your best preparing for the next concert.”

With a gentle smile, Yasushi Nyakimoto quietly left the training room.

“And with that,” the instructor suddenly announced, “you’ll all be attending an intensive training camp to prepare for the upcoming concert.”

For a moment, the cats simply stared at him in confusion.

Then the room erupted into anxious chatter.

“Wait... isn’t that bad?” Debiru said, looking nervously at Mayutan. “If Tanimaki has to go to a training camp, we could be stuck in this city for quite a while.”
