“M-Meow?! Hey! What are you doing, meow?!”

“Sorry, Tanimaki! There’s no time to explain!”

With Tanimaki squirming wildly on his back, Mayutan desperately held on to him as he glanced around the darkened hallway, searching for an exit. Then he took off running.

“...Stop right there.”

A low, cold voice cut through the silence.

It was the music producer.

Three enormous Maine Coons appeared in front of them. Like living walls, they blocked Mayutan and the others from going any farther.

Behind them stood Yasushi Nyakimoto in a black suit, his arms folded and a cold smile on his face.

“You’re the ones who planted this, aren’t you?”

Nyakimoto swiftly pulled out the listening device and held it up for them to see.

“So be it... If you’re one of Undo’s underlings, then we’ll just have to fight! Debiru, unleash Climax Series!”

Mayutan declared resolutely and immediately took a fighting stance.

“C-Climax Series...?!”

Nyakimoto and the Maine Coons flinched and instinctively backed away.

“No, Mayutan! If I use Climax Series here, all the other cats will get caught in the blast too!” Debiru cried.

“You’re right... What was I thinking?”

Mayutan bit his lip.
