Mayutan and Debiru swallowed hard, their bodies tense.

“Good. Then proceed as planned. Train them to be slaves and offer them to Lord Undo.”

The unbelievable words came straight from Yasushi Nyakimoto’s mouth.

“Understood,” the instructor replied.

Mayutan and Debiru were too stunned to speak.

They never would have imagined that Yasushi Nyakimoto was one of Undo’s underlings.

The two hurried back and shook Tanimaki awake. He had already fallen fast asleep from exhaustion.

“Meow...? What is it...? I’ve got lessons early tomorrow too, meow... Let me sleep... Mmm...”

“This is serious, Tanimaki! Yasushi Nyakimoto is working for Undo!”

Debiru desperately tried to explain the situation to the half-asleep Tanimaki.

“What are you talking about, meow...? There’s no way that’s true, meow...”

Tanimaki let out a huge yawn, curled himself into a ball, and immediately began sleeping peacefully again.

“That’s it. We’re doing this the hard way!”

Mayutan quickly hoisted Tanimaki onto his back and hurried out of the bedroom.

Debiru rushed after him.
