For Lilah, the day had been unimaginable.

She did not know who Damon truly was, and she did not know what the future would look like. But she knew her fate had changed completely. She knew the man in front of her was her master.

More importantly, she knew she should please him and make her own future better.

Looking at Damon lying on the bed, Lilah slowly removed her clothes.

One piece after another.

They fell softly to the floor.

Lilah walked to the bed and leaned over him, kissing him. She was inexperienced, but willing, like a flower beginning to open and reveal its charm.

Watching her try to please him as though instinct had taken over, Damon found himself curious how far she could go.

Lilah was clever.

Or perhaps Lilah was simply quick to learn.

She watched Damon's reactions and learned what he liked, what he did not, and what he anticipated.

So she gave herself to the moment completely, completely enough that even Damon stopped watching from the side and joined in.

Every flower had its own kind of charm.

Every wave carried a different thrill.

When it came to surfing, Damon took it seriously.

After a long time, Damon held Lilah in his arms and laughed softly.

"I should rename you Ocean."

"Ocean? Why?"

Lilah looked up lazily, green eyes curious.

"Because you're already soaked."

Damon teased her.

Lilah flushed and changed the subject.

"Diana... is she your pillow too?"

"If she were, by the time I remembered you, all you would have left to offer me would be technique."

Damon laughed, shifted into a more comfortable position, held her, and fell into a deep sleep.

The night passed without incident.

The next morning, Damon and Lilah left the room. As soon as they stepped out, they saw Diana sitting in a chair as if she had not slept all night.

The moment Damon appeared, Diana rushed to him.

"I need to talk to you."

"About what?"

Damon asked casually.

"Last night... I heard something."

Diana hesitated.

Lilah's face flushed at once.

"I... I will see if there is anything to eat."

She fled.

Damon shrugged.

"That is what you wanted to talk about? Looks like the Disciple's soundproofing is not great."

"No."

Diana frowned and shook her head.

"I am not talking about you. I heard Athena's voice."

"You are Wonder Woman, not a Saint."

"What is a Saint?"

Diana froze, then continued.

"I truly heard Athena's voice. She told me the disaster that will destroy the gods has been born, and that I must find Ares."

"You did not hear it?"

Damon also possessed divine power, which was why Diana asked.

Damon thought about it seriously, then shook his head.

"Maybe the signal was bad."

Diana snorted in displeasure.

"I think the disaster Athena mentioned is Ares. I want to find him."

"Fine. Once I figure out how to travel through time in this thing, I will take you to Ares."

Damon did not really mind. As long as things were exciting and interesting, he could play anywhere.

He sat in the pilot's seat and studied the controls one by one. After several attempts, he actually found the time-jump function in the operating system.

"Ha! Found it."

"1917. Disciple, move out."

Damon shouted excitedly, ignored Diana and Lilah stumbling behind him, and sent the Disciple into a time jump.

Whoosh.

Light flashed in the sky, and the Disciple vanished.

1917.

The First World War was nearing its end. The Central Powers and the Allies were already discussing an armistice.

Outside the active war zone, the gloomy sky suddenly brightened, and the Disciple slowly descended into an open field. Around it stretched empty wilderness. The ship entered stealth mode.

"We are here."

Damon stood and turned, only to see Diana holding the wall while Lilah lay on the floor, frightened and crying that she could not see.

"Side effect of time travel. Do it a few more times and you will get used to it."

Damon spoke to Lilah casually.

"Time travel?"

Lilah froze.

"Where is Ares?"

Diana asked Damon.

"Do not rush. I will take you to him later."

The side effect did not last long for Lilah. Two hours later, Damon brought Diana and Lilah into the city.

Cars rolled by. Crowds filled the streets.

To Diana and Lilah, everything around them felt new.

Salvation had been small and Damon had not stayed long, so this was truly Diana's first time in the human world. As for Lilah, not long ago she had been in 1871, and now she had arrived forty-six years later. She did not even know how to describe the feeling.

The three of them drew plenty of attention as they walked.

After a while, Diana suddenly groaned and stopped, pressing a hand to her head.

"Your side effect came late," Damon said, amused.

"Athena," Diana said quietly.

She had heard Athena's voice again.

This time the voice seemed clearer, as if some method were transmitting it straight into her mind. Diana tried to respond, but it had no effect. She could only hear Athena's words repeat again and again.

The disaster that will destroy the gods has been born. Find Ares.

"Will she be all right?"

Lilah looked at Diana with concern and asked Damon in a low voice.

"She will live."

Damon smiled, then suddenly said, "I am going to grab something. Stay here."

"What? Oh."

Lilah watched him leave, then nervously moved closer to Diana and waited for Damon to return.

Athena's voice gradually faded from Diana's mind. Only then did she ask Lilah, "Where did he go?"

"He said he was going to grab something and told us to stay here."

Diana frowned and nodded.

Roughly twenty minutes later, Damon returned at an unhurried pace.

"That is what you went to grab?"

Looking at the two black wool coats in Damon's hands, Diana and Lilah were both confused. They knew those were clothes.

Damon handed one to each of them. After they put the coats on, he smiled.

"I just discovered something interesting."

"What interesting thing?"

Diana said nothing, but Lilah naturally slipped into the role of prompting him.

"I saw Wonder Woman."
